< Mark 4 >

1 And he began again to teach by the sea-side: and there was gathered to him a great multitude, so that he entered into a boat, and sat on the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea, on the land.
KADEKADEO a pil kotin tapiada kawewe liman jed o. Pokon kalaimun eu ap ko pena re a. A ap kotidan pon jop pot kotikot pon jed o. A pokon o mi nan jap pon oror.
2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said to them in his doctrine,
A kotin kawewe on irail me toto ni i karajeraj akan, majani on irail ni a padak:
3 Hearken; Behold, a sower went out to sow:
Ron! Kilan, jaunkamor o kolan kamorok.
4 And it came to pass as he sowed, some fell by the way-side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it.
Ni a kamokamorok akai ap moridi on pon kailan al, manpir ap pirido nam ir ala.
5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth.
A akai moredi on waja takain, waja pwel petepet; irail ari madan wojada, pweki jota pwel lole.
6 But when the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
Ni en katipin dakarada, re ap monela o mela pweki jota kalau ar.
7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
A akai moredi nan tuka teketek; o tuka teketek wojada, kajokiala, re ap jota wa.
8 And other fell on good ground, and yielded fruit that sprang up, and increased, and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some a hundred.
A akai moredi nan pwel mau o pwaida wa; akai pan me jileijok; a akai me woneijok, a akai me epuki.
9 And he said to them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
A kotin majani: Me jalon a mia men ron, i en ron!
10 And when he was alone, they that were about him, with the twelve, asked of him the parable.
A lao kotin kalapukela, men imp a ianaki ekriamen ap kalelapok re a duen karajeraj pukat.
11 And he said to them, To you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but to them that are without, all [these] things are done in parables:
A ap kotin majani on irail: A muei on komail, en aja duen me rir en wein Kot. A men liki re pan aja meakaroj jan ni karajeraj akan.
12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and [their] sins should be forgiven them.
Pwe re kilan, ari jota kilan, o roneron, ap jota dedeki; pwe re de pan wukila o dip ar lapwa jan irail.
13 And he said to them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
A ap kotin majani on irail: Komail jota dedeki karajeraj pot et? A iaduen, omail pan aja karajeraj tei ko?
14 The sower soweth the word.
Jaunkamor me kamorok jili majan.
15 And these are they by the way-side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.
A mepukat me mi pon kailan al, waja majan moredi on, a re lao ronadar, Jatan ap madanado, ki jan majan, me kamoremoredi on nan monion arail.
16 And these are they likewise who are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
O mepukat mo moredi on waja takain, re lao ronadar majan o ap madan peren kida ale.
17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they relapse.
A jota kalaua re rail apdadaur eta ekij, lao jonejon o kamakam wiaui pweki majan o, re ap madan makar kida.
18 And these are they who are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
A mepukat me moredi on nan tuka teketek, me ronada majan.
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
A anan en pai en jappa o inon kapwa, o norok en okotme pweida, kajokela majan, ap jota wa. (aiōn g165)
20 And these are they who are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive [it], and bring forth fruit, some thirty-fold, some sixty, and some a hundred.
A mepukat irail, me moredi on nan pwel mau, me ronada majan o, ale o wa, akai pan me jlei ijok, a akai me woneijok, a akai me epuki.
21 And he said to them, Is a candle brought to be put under a close vessel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
A kotin majani on irail: Kandel pan wijikedo, pwen ko on pan kajak de pan men wendi? A Jote koda won nin deun kandel.
22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither hath any thing been kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
Pwe jota me rir kot, me jo pan janjalada, pil jota me okiok kot, me jota pan lok jili.
23 If any man hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Meamen me jalon a mia men ron, i en ron!
24 And he said to them, Take heed what ye hear: With the measure which ye give, it shall be measured to you: and to you that hear shall more be given.
A ap kotin majani on irail: komail kalaka, me komail ron! pwe men jon, me komail jonki iduen a pil pan jon, on komail.
25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.
Pwe me a mia, ekij pan ko on, a me jota a mia, me ekij mie, me ekij mi re a pan katia san.
26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
A kotin majani: let duen wein Kot, raj on aramaj amen, me kamoredi on nan pwel war en tuka.
27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
Ap mairela, pirida, pon ran; a war o wojada ap kakairida a ap jota aja due.
28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of itself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
Pwe pwel kin pein kawojada tuka. Maj katoka, mur mpok, mur war en korn nan mpok ap pwarada.
29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
A ni wa ma, a ap madan ki on men lepukedi, pwe rak mier.
30 And he said, To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?
A pil kotin majani: Da me kitail en karajai on wein Kot? De da me kitail en kajojon on?
31 [It is] like a grain of mustard-seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that are in the earth.
A raj on wan tuka, me pan kamoremoredi on nan pwel, me tikitik jan war karoj, me mi nan jap.
32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under its shade.
A lao kamoredi, ap wojada laude jan dip karoj, ap kajan pajan laud; manpir en pan lan ap kin wendi pan mot a.
33 And with many such parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear [it].
I jon en karajeraj akan toto a kotiki on irail ni a kawewe on irail majan o duen ar weweki.
34 But without a parable he spoke not to them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.
Jota a majan, ma jo karajeraj. Ni arail kelepala, a ap kotin kadede on japwilim a tounpadak kan meakan.
35 And the same day, when the evening was come, he saith to them, Let us pass over to the other side.
Ni ran ota, lao jautik penaer, a kotin majani on irail: Kitail daulul won palio!
36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the boat. And there were also with him other small boats.
Ari, ni ar kadar pajan pokon o, re kamajalada nin jop o. Pil akai kijin jop mi re a.
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was now full.
Melimel ap koda, iluk ap punedi on nan jop o kadirela.
38 And he was in the hinder part of the boat, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say to him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
A a kotikot nan murin jop o, jaijaimok pon uluna. Irail ap kaopada. potoan on i: Jaunpadak, kom jota kupurai kit, pweki at pan mela?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace, be still: and the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
I ari kotin kipada, anianida melimel, o kotin majani on jed o: Moledi! An ap dukedi o molela kaualap.
40 And he said to them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
A ap kotin majani on irail: Da me komail majapwekeki? Iadue, jota omail pojon?
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
Irail majapwekada kaualap, ap indada nan pun arail: Iaduen ol men et, me an o jed peiki on?
