< Mark 1 >

1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ the Son of God;
Asɛmpa a ɛfa Yesu Kristo, Onyankopɔn Ba no ho no, ahyɛaseɛ nie.
2 As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee;
Wɔatwerɛ wɔ Odiyifoɔ Yesaia nwoma no mu sɛ, “Mɛsoma me ɔbɔfoɔ adi wʼanim ɛkan. Ɔno na ɔbɛsiesie ɛkwan ama wo.”
3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
“Nne bi reteam firi ɛserɛ so sɛ, ‘Monsiesie ɛkwan mma Awurade, mommɔ akwan a ɛtene mma no.’”
4 John was baptizing in the wilderness, and preaching the baptism of repentance, for the remission of sins.
Enti Yohane ba bɛbɔɔ asu wɔ ɛserɛ so, ɔkaa adwensakyera asubɔ a ɛma bɔnefakyɛ ho asɛm.
5 And there went out to him all the land of Judea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
Nnipa fifiri Yerusalem ne Yudea nkuro so kɔhunuu Yohane, tiee no. Na wɔkaa wɔn bɔne kyerɛɛ no no, ɔbɔɔ wɔn asu wɔ Asubɔnten Yordan mu.
6 And John was clothed with camels hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he ate locusts and wild honey;
Na Yohane hyɛ atadeɛ a wɔde yoma nhoma na apam a aboa nhoma abɔsoɔ nso bɔ mu. Na nʼaduane yɛ ntutummɛ ne ɛwoɔ.
7 And preached, saying, There cometh after me one mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.
Ne nkyerɛkyerɛ no mu, ɔkaa sɛ, “Ɛrenkyɛre koraa, obi bɛba a ɔwɔ tumi sene me a, ne mpaboa ahoma mpo, mensɛ sɛ mekoto mesane.
8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.
Me deɛ, mede nsuo na ɛbɔ mo asu, na ɔno deɛ, ɔde Honhom Kronkron na ɛbɛbɔ mo asu!”
9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth to Galilee, and was baptized by John in Jordan.
Ɛda bi, Yesu firii Nasaret a ɛwɔ Galileaman mu ba maa Yohane bɔɔ no asu wɔ Asubɔnten Yordan mu.
10 And immediately coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him.
Yesu firi nsuo no mu sii konkɔn so ara pɛ, ɔhunuu sɛ ɔsoro abue, na Honhom Kronkron resiane sɛ aborɔnoma aba ne so. Saa ɛberɛ no ara mu,
11 And there came a voice from heaven, [saying], Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
ɛnne bi firi ɔsoro kaa sɛ, “Wone me Dɔ Ba a wosɔ mʼani.”
12 And immediately the spirit driveth him into the wilderness.
Ɛhɔ ara, Honhom Kronkron de Yesu kɔɔ ɛserɛ so.
13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan: and was with the wild beasts, and the angels ministered to him.
Ɔtenaa hɔ adaduanan a na obiara nka ne ho ka wiram mmoa nko ara. Ɛhɔ na ɔbonsam sɔɔ no hwɛeɛ. Akyire yi, abɔfoɔ ba bɛsom no.
14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
Ɔhene Herode kyeree Yohane akyi no, Yesu kɔɔ Galilea kɔkaa asɛmpa no wɔ hɔ.
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Ɔkaa sɛ, “Ɛberɛ no awie du! Onyankopɔn Ahennie no abɛn. Monnu mo ho na monnye asɛmpa no nni!”
16 Now as he was walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
Ɛda bi a Yesu nam Galilea mpoano no, ɔhunuu Simon ne ne nua Andrea sɛ wɔregu asau.
17 And Jesus said to them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
Yesu frɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Mommɛdi mʼakyi! Na mɛma mo ayɛ nnipayifoɔ.”
18 And immediately they forsook their nets, and followed him.
Ɛhɔ ara, wɔgyaa wɔn asau no guu hɔ bɛdii nʼakyi.
19 And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets.
Ɔkɔɔ nʼanim kakra no, ɔhunuu Sebedeo mma baanu a wɔfrɛ ɔbaako Yohane, ɛnna ɔbaako nso Yakobo, sɛ wɔte kodoɔ mu reyɛ wɔn asau ho adwuma.
20 And immediately he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.
Ɔfrɛɛ wɔn nso sɛ wɔmmɛdi nʼakyi. Ntɛm ara, wɔgyaa wɔn agya Sebedeo ne nʼapaafoɔ hɔ wɔ kodoɔ no mu bɛdii nʼakyi.
21 And they went into Capernaum; and immediately on the sabbath he entered into the synagogue and taught.
Yesu ne nʼakyidifoɔ yi bɛduruu Kapernaum. Na Homeda duruiɛ no, ɔkɔɔ asɔredan mu kɔkaa asɛmpa no.
22 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
Nnipa no tee asɛm no no, wɔn ho dwirii wɔn, ɛfiri sɛ, ɔkasaa te sɛ obi a ɔwɔ tumi, na mmom wankasa sɛ Atwerɛsɛm no akyerɛkyerɛfoɔ no.
23 And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
Amonom hɔ ara, ɔbarima bi a ɔwɔ wɔn hyiadan no mu hɔ a ɔwɔ honhommɔne teaam mu sɛ,
24 Saying, Let [us] alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
“Ɛdeɛn na wo Nasareni Yesu ne yɛn wɔ yɛ? Woaba sɛ worebɛsɛe yɛn anaa? Menim wo sɛ wone Onyankopɔn Ba Kronkronni no!”
25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.
Yesu teateaa honhommɔne no sɛ, “Mua wʼano! Firi ne mu kɔ!”
26 And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.
Honhommɔne no wosoo saa ɔbarima no, ma ɔteateaam den na ɛtu kɔeɛ.
27 And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine [is] this? for with authority he commandeth even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.
Nnipa no nyinaa ho dwirii wɔn, ma wɔbisabisaa wɔn ho wɔn ho sɛ. “Nkyerɛkyerɛ foforɔ bɛn ni? Ahonhommɔne mpo tie ne nne!”
28 And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region around Galilee.
Saa anwanwadeɛ a ɔyɛeɛ yi ho nsɛm trɛ faa Galileaman mu nyinaa.
29 And forthwith, when they had come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
Wɔfirii hyiadan no mu no, wɔne Yakobo ne Yohane kɔɔ Simon ne Andrea efie.
30 But the mother of Simon's wife lay sick with a fever; and forthwith they tell him of her.
Na Simon ase baa ɛda mpa so a huraeɛ akyere no, na wɔkaa ne ho asɛm kyerɛɛ Yesu.
31 And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered to them.
Yesu kɔɔ baabi a ɔda hɔ, kɔsɔɔ ne nsa, ma ɔsɔre tenaa ase. Ɛhɔ ara, huraeɛ no tu firii ne so. Ɔsɔre noaa aduane maa wɔn.
32 And at evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with demons.
Ɛduruu anwummerɛ no, nnipa no de ayarefoɔ ne wɔn a wɔwɔ ahonhommɔne brɛɛ Yesu sɛ ɔnsa wɔn yadeɛ.
33 And all the city was gathered at the door.
Kuro mu no nyinaa bɛboaa wɔn ho ano wɔ efie no aboboano,
34 And he healed many that were sick with divers diseases, and cast out many demons; and suffered not the demons to speak, because they knew him.
na Yesu saa ayarefoɔ bebree yadeɛ. Ɔtuu ahonhommɔne bebree nso. Nanso, wamma ahonhommɔne no ankasa, ɛfiri sɛ, na wɔnim no.
35 And in the morning, rising a great while before day, he went out and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
Ahemadakye a na ɛnim nteteeɛ no, Yesu sɔre firii efie hɔ kɔɔ baabi a ɛhɔ yɛ dinn, kɔbɔɔ mpaeɛ wɔ hɔ.
36 And Simon, and they that were with him, followed after him.
Simon ne wɔn a wɔka ne ho firii adi kɔhwehwɛɛ no,
37 And when they had found him, they said to him, All [men] seek for thee.
na wɔhunuu no no, wɔka kyerɛɛ no sɛ, “Nnipa bebree rehwehwɛ wo.”
38 And he said to them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for, for this purpose have I come.
Ɔka kyerɛɛ wɔn sɛ, “Ɛsɛ sɛ yɛkɔ nkuro a aka no so, na mekɔka mʼasɛm kyerɛ wɔn, ɛfiri sɛ, ɛno enti na mebaeɛ.”
39 And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out demons.
Enti, ɔkɔɔ Galileaman mu baabiara kɔkaa asɛmpa no wɔ asɔredan mu, tuu ahonhommɔne bebree nso.
40 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying to him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
Ɔkwatani bi bɛkotoo no srɛɛ no sɛ, “Sɛ ɛyɛ wo pɛ a, wobɛtumi ama me ho ate.”
41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth [his] hand, and touched him, and saith to him, I will; be thou clean.
Yesu hunuu ɔkwatani no mmɔbɔ, enti ɔde ne nsa kaa no kaa sɛ, “Mepɛ! Wo ho mfi!”
42 And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.
Amonom hɔ ara, ne ho teeɛ, maa ne ho tɔɔ no!
43 And he strictly charged him, and forthwith sent him away;
Yesu bɔɔ nʼano dendeenden sɛ,
44 And saith to him, See thou say nothing to any man; but go, show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.
“Nka saa asɛm yi nkyerɛ obiara, na mmom, fa wo ho kɔkyerɛ ɔsɔfoɔ. Sɛ worekɔ a, fa wʼafɔrebɔdeɛ a Mose ahyɛ sɛ akwatafoɔ a wɔasa wɔn yadeɛ mfa nka wɔn ho nkɔ no ka wo ho kɔ, sɛdeɛ ɛbɛma obiara ahunu sɛ wo ho atɔ wo bio.”
45 But he went out, and began to publish [it] much, and to blaze abroad the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.
Nanso, ɔrekorɔ no nyinaa, na ɔde nteateamu rebɔ nʼayaresa no ho dawuro. Esiane yei enti, sɛ Yesu kɔ baabiara a, nnipadɔm bɛtwa ne ho hyia. Ɛno enti, afei baabiara a ɔbɛkɔ no, ɔnnyi ne ho adi. Enti, ɔtenaa ɛserɛ so hɔ maa nnipa bebree baa ne nkyɛn wɔ hɔ.
