< Malachi 1 >

1 The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.
Pa inge kas su LEUM GOD El sang nu sel Malachi in fahkak nu sin mwet Israel.
2 I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, In what hast thou loved us? [Was] not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,
LEUM GOD El fahk nu sin mwet lal, “Nga nuna lungse kowos pacl nukewa.” Tusruktu elos topuk fahk, “Kom akkalemye lungse lom nu sesr fuka?” LEUM GOD El topuk, “Esau ac Jacob eltal tamulel, tuh nga lungse Jacob ac fwil natul,
3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
ac nga srungal Esau ac fwil natul. Nga sukela acn sel Esau ac sang fulan eol we tuh in nien muta lun kosro lemnak.”
4 Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.
Mwet Edom, su fwil natul Esau, fin fahk, “Siti sesr kunausyukla, tusruktu kut ac fah sifilpa musaeak,” na LEUM GOD El fah topuk, “Lela elos in sifil musai — nga fah sifil kunausla. Ac fah pangpang elos, ‘Sie facl koluk,’ ac ‘Mutunfacl se su LEUM GOD El kasrkusrak se nwe tok!’”
5 And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel.
Mwet Israel elos fah sifacna liye ma inge ke mutalos, ac elos ac fahk, “LEUM GOD El arulana ku, ac ku lal liyeyuk sayen facl Israel pac!”
6 A son honoreth [his] father, and a servant his master: if then I [am] a father, where [is] my honor? and if I [am] a master, where [is] my fear? saith the LORD of hosts to you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, In what have we despised thy name?
LEUM GOD Kulana El fahk nu sin mwet tol uh, “Sie wen el sunakin papa tumal, ac sie mwet kulansap el sunakin mwet kacto lal. Nga papa tomowos — efu kowos ku tia sunakinyu? Nga Mwet Kacto lowos — efu kowos ku tia akfulatyeyu? Kowos aksruksrukeyu, a kowos siyuk, ‘Kut aksruksruke kom fuka?’
7 Ye offer polluted bread upon my altar? and ye say, In what have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD [is] contemptible.
Ke kowos kisakin mwe mongo kolukla fin loang luk uh. Na kowos sifil siyuk, ‘Kut tia akfulatye kom fuka?’ Nga ac fahk nu suwos: ke kowos aklusrongtenye loang luk.
8 And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, [is it] not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, [is it] not evil? offer it now to thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.
Ke kowos use soko kosro kun ku mas ku osaksak in kisakin nu sik, ya kowos nunku mu wangin ma koluk kac? Srike sangwin soko kain kosro se ingan nu sel governor — ya el ac insewowo suwos, ku oru kutena ma in kasrekowos?”
9 And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious to us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your person? saith the LORD of hosts.
Inge, kowos mwet tol, srike siyuk sin God Elan oru wo nu sesr. El ac tia topuk pre lowos uh, na ac fah ma lowos pa koluk uh.
10 Who [is there] even among you that would shut the doors [for nought]? neither do ye kindle [fire] on my altar for naught. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
LEUM GOD Kulana El fahk, “Nga ke sie suwos in kaliya srungul ke Tempul, in kosrala kowos in tia akosak e fin loang luk uh ke wangin sripa. Nga tiana insewowo suwos. Nga fah tia eis mwe sang ma kowos us nu yuruk.
11 For from the rising of the sun even to the setting of the same, my name [shall be] great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense [shall be] offered to my name, and a pure offering: for my name [shall be] great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.
Ke pacl faht uh takak nwe ke pacl faht uh tili, mwet in mutunfacl nukema faclu elos sunakinyu. Yen nukewa elos esukak mwe keng ac ase mwe kisa wowo nu sik. Elos nukewa akfulatyeyu!
12 But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the LORD [is] polluted; and the fruit of it, [even] his provision, is contemptible.
Tusruktu kowos akkolukye loang luk ke kowos fahk mu wangin sripa, ac ke kowos kisakin mwe mongo koluk fac.
13 Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness [is it]! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought [that which was] torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this from your hand? saith the LORD.
Kowos fahk mu, ‘Kut totola ke oreyen ma inge uh!’ ac sungalik infwewos nu sik. Kowos use kosro pusrla, ku ma osaksak, ku mas, in kisakin nu sik. Ya kowos nunku mu nga ac eis ma ingan suwos?
14 But cursed [be] the deceiver, who hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth to the LORD a corrupt thing: for I [am] a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name [is] dreadful among the heathen.
In selngawiyuk mwet kutasrik se su kisakin soko kosro koluk lumah nu sik, ke oasr ma na wo ac fas soko inmasrlon un kosro natul, su el tuh wulema in kisakin nu sik! Tuh nga sie tokosra fulat, ac mwet in mutunfacl nukewa sangeng sik.”
