Luke 22
1 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
Se acercaba la fiesta de los panes sin levadura, que se llama la Pascua.
2 And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him: for they feared the people.
Los jefes de los sacerdotes y los escribas buscaban la manera de condenarlo a muerte, porque temían al pueblo.
3 Then Satan entered into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
Satanás entró en Judas, que también se llamaba Iscariote, que era contado con los doce.
4 And he went, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him to them.
Se fue y habló con los jefes de los sacerdotes y con los capitanes sobre cómo podría entregarlo a ellos.
5 And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
Ellos se alegraron y aceptaron darle dinero.
6 And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him to them in the absence of the multitude.
Él consintió y buscó una oportunidad para entregárselo en ausencia de la multitud.
7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.
Llegó el día de los panes sin levadura, en el que debía sacrificarse la Pascua.
8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare for us the passover, that we may eat.
Jesús envió a Pedro y a Juan, diciendo: “Id y preparadnos la Pascua para que comamos.”
9 And they said to him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?
Le dijeron: “¿Dónde quieres que nos preparemos?”
10 And he said to them, Behold, when ye have entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth.
Les dijo: “Mirad, cuando hayáis entrado en la ciudad, os saldrá al encuentro un hombre que lleva un cántaro de agua. Seguidle hasta la casa en la que entre.
11 And ye shall say to the master of the house, The Master saith to thee, Where is the guest-chamber, where I may eat the passover with my disciples?
Decid al dueño de la casa: “El Maestro os dice: “¿Dónde está la habitación de los invitados, donde pueda comer la Pascua con mis discípulos?””.
12 And he will show you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.
Él te mostrará una habitación superior grande y amueblada. Haz los preparativos allí”.
13 And they went and found as he had said to them: and they made ready the passover.
Fueron, encontraron las cosas como Jesús les había dicho, y prepararon la Pascua.
14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
Cuando llegó la hora, se sentó con los doce apóstoles.
15 And he said to them, I have earnestly desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer.
Les dijo: “Con cuánto anhelo he deseado comer esta Pascua con vosotros antes de sufrir,
16 For I say to you, I will not any more eat of it until it shall be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
porque os digo que ya no comeré de ella hasta que se cumpla en el Reino de Dios.”
17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide [it] among yourselves.
Recibió una copa y, después de dar gracias, dijo: “Tomad y compartidla entre vosotros,
18 For I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
porque os digo que no volveré a beber del fruto de la vid hasta que venga el Reino de Dios.”
19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and broke [it], and gave to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Tomó el pan y, después de dar gracias, lo partió y les dio diciendo: “Esto es mi cuerpo que se entrega por vosotros. Haced esto en memoria mía”.
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup [is] the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
Asimismo, tomó la copa después de la cena, diciendo: “Esta copa es él nuevo pacto en mi sangre, que se derrama por vosotros.
21 But behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me [is] with me on the table.
Pero he aquí que la mano del que me traiciona está conmigo sobre la mesa.
22 And truly the Son of man goeth as it was determined: but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!
El Hijo del Hombre, en efecto, se va como ha sido determinado, pero ¡ay de aquel hombre por quien es entregado!”
23 And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.
Empezaron a preguntarse entre ellos quién era el que iba a hacer esto.
24 And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.
También surgió una disputa entre ellos, sobre cuál de ellos se consideraba más grande.
25 And he said to them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them, are called benefactors.
Él les dijo: “Los reyes de las naciones se enseñorean de ellas, y los que tienen autoridad sobre ellas son llamados “benefactores”.
26 But ye [shall] not [be] so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
Pero no es así con ustedes. Más bien, el que es mayor entre vosotros, que se haga como el más joven, y el que gobierna, como el que sirve.
27 For which [is] greater, he that sitteth at table, or he that serveth? [is] not he that sitteth at table? but I am among you as he that serveth.
Porque ¿quién es mayor, el que se sienta a la mesa o el que sirve? ¿No es el que se sienta a la mesa? Pero yo estoy entre vosotros como uno que sirve.
28 Ye are they who have continued with me in my temptations.
“Pero vosotros sois los que habéis continuado conmigo en mis pruebas.
29 And I appoint to you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed to me;
Yo os confiero un reino, como me lo confirió mi Padre,
30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
para que comáis y bebáis en mi mesa en mi Reino. Os sentaréis en tronos para juzgar a las doce tribus de Israel”.
31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired [to have] you, that he may sift [you] as wheat:
El Señor dijo: “Simón, Simón, he aquí que Satanás pedía disponer de todos vosotros para zarandearos como el trigo,
32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not; and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
pero yo he rogado por ti, para que tu fe no desfallezca. Tú, cuando te hayas convertido de nuevo, confirma a tus hermanos”.
33 And he said to him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee both into prison, and to death.
Le dijo: “Señor, estoy dispuesto a ir contigo a la cárcel y a la muerte”.
34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock will not crow this day, before thou wilt thrice deny that thou knowest me.
Él dijo: “Te digo, Pedro, que el gallo no cantará hoy hasta que niegues que me conoces tres veces”.
35 And he said to them, When I sent you without purse, and sack, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
Les dijo: “Cuando os envié sin bolsa, sin alforja y sin sandalias, ¿os faltó algo?” Dijeron: “Nada”.
36 Then said he to them, But now he that hath a purse, let him take [it], and likewise [his] sack: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
Entonces les dijo: “Pero ahora, quien tenga una bolsa, que la tome, y también una alforja. El que no tenga, que venda su manto y compre una espada.
37 For I say to you, that this which is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
Porque os digo que aún debe cumplirse en mí lo que está escrito: ‘Fue contado con los transgresores’. Porque lo que me concierne se está cumpliendo”.
38 And they said, Lord, behold, here [are] two swords. And he said to them, It is enough.
Dijeron: “Señor, he aquí dos espadas”. Les dijo: “Es suficiente”.
39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
Salió y se dirigió, como era su costumbre, al Monte de los Olivos. Sus discípulos también le siguieron.
40 And when he was at the place, he said to them, Pray, that ye enter not into temptation.
Cuando llegó al lugar, les dijo: “Orad para que no entréis en tentación”.
41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed.
Se apartó de ellos como a un tiro de piedra, y se arrodilló y oró,
42 Saying, Father, if thou art willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine be done.
diciendo: “Padre, si quieres, aparta de mí esta copa. Sin embargo, no se haga mi voluntad, sino la tuya”.
43 And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him.
Se le apareció un ángel del cielo que lo fortaleció.
44 And being in an agony, he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling to the ground.
Estando en agonía, oró con más ahínco. Su sudor se convirtió en grandes gotas de sangre que caían al suelo.
45 And when he arose from prayer, and had come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow:
Cuando se levantó de su oración, se acercó a los discípulos y los encontró durmiendo a causa del dolor,
46 And said to them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
y les dijo: “¿Por qué dormís? Levantaos y orad para no entrar en la tentación”.
47 And while he was yet speaking, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near to Jesus to kiss him.
Mientras aún hablaba, apareció una multitud. El que se llamaba Judas, uno de los doce, los guiaba. Se acercó a Jesús para besarlo.
48 But Jesus said to him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
Pero Jesús le dijo: “Judas, ¿traicionas al Hijo del Hombre con un beso?”
49 When they who were about him, saw what would follow, they said to him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
Cuando los que estaban a su alrededor vieron lo que iba a suceder, le dijeron: “Señor, ¿herimos con la espada?”
50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
Uno de ellos hirió al siervo del sumo sacerdote y le cortó la oreja derecha.
51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
Pero Jesús respondió: “Déjame al menos hacer esto”, y tocando su oreja lo sanó.
52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders who had come to him, Are ye come out as against a thief, with swords and staffs?
Jesús dijo a los jefes de los sacerdotes, a los capitanes del templo y a los ancianos que habían venido contra él: “¿Habéis salido como contra un ladrón, con espadas y palos?
53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
Cuando estaba con ustedes en el templo cada día, no extendían sus manos contra mí. Pero esta es vuestra hora, y el poder de las tinieblas”.
54 Then they took him, and led [him], and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed at a distance.
Lo agarraron, lo llevaron y lo metieron en la casa del sumo sacerdote. Pero Pedro lo seguía de lejos.
55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.
Cuando encendieron el fuego en medio del patio y se sentaron juntos, Pedro se sentó entre ellos.
56 But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.
Una sirvienta le vio sentado a la luz, y mirándole fijamente, dijo: “También éste estaba con él.”
57 And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.
Negó a Jesús, diciendo: “Mujer, no lo conozco”.
58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.
Al cabo de un rato, otro le vio y le dijo: “¡También tú eres uno de ellos!” Pero Pedro respondió: “¡Hombre, no lo soy!”.
59 And about the space of one hour after, another confidently affirmed, saying, In truth this [man] also was with him; for he is a Galilean.
Al cabo de una hora aproximadamente, otro afirmó con confianza, diciendo: “¡Verdaderamente este hombre también estaba con él, pues es galileo!”
60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he was yet speaking, the cock crowed.
Pero Pedro dijo: “¡Hombre, no sé de qué estás hablando!”. Inmediatamente, mientras aún hablaba, cantó un gallo.
61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said to him, Before the cock shall crow, thou wilt deny me thrice.
El Señor se volvió y miró a Pedro. Entonces Pedro se acordó de la palabra del Señor, de cómo le había dicho: “Antes de que cante el gallo me negarás tres veces”.
62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.
Salió y lloró amargamente.
63 And the men that held Jesus, mocked him, and smote [him].
Los hombres que retenían a Jesús se burlaban de él y lo golpeaban.
64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?
Después de vendarle los ojos, le golpearon en la cara y le preguntaron: “¡Profetiza! ¿Quién es el que te ha golpeado?”
65 And many other things blasphemously they spoke against him.
Dijeron muchas otras cosas contra él, insultándolo.
66 And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people, and the chief priests, and the scribes came together, and led him into their council,
Cuando se hizo de día, se reunió la asamblea de los ancianos del pueblo, tanto de los sumos sacerdotes como de los escribas, y le llevaron a su consejo, diciendo:
67 Saying, Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said to them, If I tell you, ye will not believe.
“Si eres el Cristo, dínoslo”. Pero él les dijo: “Si os lo digo, no creeréis,
68 And if I also ask [you], ye will not answer me, nor let [me] go.
y si os lo pido, no me responderéis ni me dejaréis ir.
69 Hereafter will the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
Desde ahora, el Hijo del Hombre estará sentado a la derecha del poder de Dios.”
70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said to them, Ye say that I am.
Todos dijeron: “¿Eres entonces el Hijo de Dios?” Les dijo: “Lo decís vosotros, porque yo lo soy”.
71 And they said, What need have we of any further testimony? for we ourselves have heard from his own mouth.
Dijeron: “¿Por qué necesitamos más testigos? Porque nosotros mismos hemos oído de su propia boca”.
