Luke 16
1 And he said also to his disciples, There was a certain rich man who had a steward; and the same was accused to him that he had wasted his goods.
௧பின்னும் அவர் தம்முடைய சீடர்களை நோக்கி: செல்வந்தனாகிய ஒரு மனிதனுக்கு நிர்வாகி ஒருவன் இருந்தான்; அவன் தன் எஜமானுடைய சொத்துக்களை அழித்துப்போடுகிறதாக எஜமானுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
2 And he called him, and said to him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship: for thou mayest be no longer steward.
௨அப்பொழுது எஜமான் அவனை வரவழைத்து: உன்னைக்குறித்து நான் இப்படிக் கேள்விப்படுகிறதென்ன? உன் நிர்வாகத்தின் கணக்கைக் கொடு, இனி நீ நிர்வாகியாக இருக்கக்கூடாது என்றான்.
3 Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; I am ashamed to beg.
௩அப்பொழுது அந்த நிர்வாகி: நான் என்ன செய்வேன், என் எஜமான் நிர்வாக பொறுப்பிலிருந்து என்னை நீக்கிப்போடுகிறானே நிலத்தை பண்படுத்துவதற்கும்; எனக்குப் பெலனில்லை, பிச்சையெடுக்கவும் வெட்கப்படுகிறேன்.
4 I am resolved what to do, that when I am removed from the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
௪நிர்வாகப் பொறுப்பைவிட்டு நான் நீக்கப்படும்போது, என்னைத் தங்களுடைய வீடுகளில் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுவார் உண்டாகும்படி செய்யவேண்டியது இன்னதென்று எனக்குத் தெரியவந்தது, என்று தனக்குள்ளே சொல்லிக்கொண்டு;
5 So he called every one of his lord's debtors, and said to the first, How much owest thou to my lord?
௫தன் எஜமானிடத்தில் கடன்பட்டவர்களை ஒவ்வொருவனாக வரவழைத்து: முதலாவது வந்தவனை நோக்கி: நீ என் எஜமானிடத்தில் பட்ட கடன் எவ்வளவு என்றான்.
6 And he said, A hundred measures of oil. And he said to him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
௬அவன்: நூறுகுடம் எண்ணெய் என்றான். அப்பொழுது நிர்வாகி அவனை நோக்கி: நீ உன் சீட்டை வாங்கி, உட்கார்ந்து, ஐம்பது என்று சீக்கிரமாக எழுது என்றான்.
7 Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, A hundred measures of wheat. And he said to him, Take thy bill, and write eighty.
௭பின்பு அவன் வேறொருவனை நோக்கி: நீ பட்ட கடன் எவ்வளவு என்றான். அவன்: நூறு மூட்டை கோதுமை என்றான். அப்பொழுது அவன்: நீ உன் சீட்டை வாங்கி, எண்பது என்று எழுது என்றான்.
8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. (aiōn g165)
௮அநீதியுள்ள அந்த நிர்வாகி புத்தியாகச் செய்தான் என்று எஜமான் பார்த்து அவனை மெச்சிக்கொண்டான். இவ்விதமாக ஒளியின் மக்களைவிட இந்த உலகத்தின் மக்கள் தங்களுடைய சந்ததியில் அதிக புத்திமான்களாக இருக்கிறார்கள். (aiōn g165)
9 And I say to you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. (aiōnios g166)
௯நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன், நீங்கள் மரிக்கும்போது உங்களை நித்தியமான வீடுகளிலே ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுவோர் உண்டாகும்படி, அநீதியான உலகப்பொருளால் உங்களுக்கு நண்பர்களைச் சம்பாதியுங்கள். (aiōnios g166)
10 He that is faithful in that which is least, is faithful also in much; and he that is unjust in the least, is unjust also in much.
௧0கொஞ்சத்திலே உண்மையுள்ளவன் அநேகத்திலும் உண்மையுள்ளவனாக இருக்கிறான், கொஞ்சத்திலே அநீதியுள்ளவன் அநேகத்திலும் அநீதியுள்ளவனாக இருக்கிறான்.
11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true [riches]?
௧௧அநீதியான உலகப்பொருளில் நீங்கள் உண்மையாக இல்லாவிட்டால், யார் உங்களை நம்பி உங்களிடம் நேர்மையான சொத்தை ஒப்புவிப்பார்கள்?
12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who will give you that which is your own?
௧௨வேறொருவனுடைய காரியத்தில் நீங்கள் உண்மையுள்ளவர்களாக இல்லாவிட்டால், உங்களுக்கு ஏதாவதொன்றைச் சொந்தமாகக் கொடுப்பவர் யார்?
13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
௧௩எந்த வேலைக்காரனும் இரண்டு எஜமான்களுக்கு பணிவிடை செய்யமுடியாது; ஒருவனைப் பகைத்து மற்றவனை நேசிப்பான், அல்லது ஒருவனைப்பற்றிக்கொண்டு மற்றவனை அசட்டைபண்ணுவான். தேவனுக்கும் உலகப்பொருளுக்கும் வேலைசெய்ய உங்களாலே கூடாது என்றார்.
14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things, and they derided him.
௧௪இவைகளையெல்லாம் பொருளாசைக்காரர்களாகிய பரிசேயர்களும் கேட்டு, அவரைப் பரிகாசம்பண்ணினார்கள்.
15 And he said to them, Ye are they who justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men, is abomination in the sight of God.
௧௫அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் மனிதர்கள் முன்பாக உங்களை நீதிமான்களாகக் காட்டுகிறீர்கள், தேவனோ உங்களுடைய இருதயங்களை அறிந்திருக்கிறார்; மனிதர்களுக்குள்ளே மேன்மையாக எண்ணப்படுகிறது தேவனுக்குமுன்பாக அருவருப்பாக இருக்கிறது.
16 The law and the prophets [were] until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
௧௬நியாயப்பிரமாணமும் தீர்க்கதரிசன வாக்கியங்களும் யோவான்வரைக்கும் இருந்தது; அதுமுதல் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் நற்செய்தியாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுவருகிறது, அனைவரும் பலவந்தமாக அதில் பிரவேசிக்கிறார்கள்.
17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than one tittle of the law to fail.
௧௭வேதத்தில் ஒரு எழுத்தின் உறுப்பு ஒழிந்துபோவதைவிட, வானமும் பூமியும் ஒழிந்துபோவது எளிதாயிருக்கும்.
18 Whoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery; and whoever marrieth her that is put away from [her] husband, committeth adultery.
௧௮தன் மனைவியைத் தள்ளிவிட்டு, வேறொரு பெண்ணைத் திருமணம் செய்கிறவன் விபசாரம் செய்கிறான், கணவனாலே விவாகரத்து செய்யப்பட்டவளைத் திருமணம் செய்கிறவனும் விபசாரம் செய்கிறான்.
19 There was a certain rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
௧௯செல்வந்தனாகிய ஒரு மனிதன் இருந்தான்; அவன் இரத்தாம்பரமும் விலையுயர்ந்த உடையும் அணிந்து, அநுதினமும் ஆடம்பரமாக வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருந்தான்.
20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, who was laid at his gate, full of sores,
௨0லாசரு என்னும் பெயர்கொண்ட ஒரு தரித்திரனும் இருந்தான்; அவன் சரீர முழுவதும் கொப்பளங்கள் நிறைந்தவனாக, அந்த செல்வந்தனுடைய வாசலின் அருகே தங்கி,
21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover, the dogs came and licked his sores.
௨௧அவனுடைய மேஜையிலிருந்து விழுந்த துணிக்கைகளாலே தன் பசியை ஆற்ற ஆசையாக இருந்தான்; நாய்கள் வந்து அவன் கொப்பளங்களை நக்கிற்று.
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by angels into Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died, and was buried:
௨௨பின்பு அந்த தரித்திரன் மரித்து, தேவதூதர்களால் ஆபிரகாமுடைய மடியிலே கொண்டுபோய் விடப்பட்டான்; செல்வந்தனும் மரித்து அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்.
23 And in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. (Hadēs g86)
௨௩பாதாளத்திலே அவன் வேதனைப்படுகிறபோது, தன் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்து, தூரத்திலே ஆபிரகாமையும் அவன் மடியிலே லாசருவையும் கண்டான். (Hadēs g86)
24 And he cried, and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue: for I am tormented in this flame.
௨௪அப்பொழுது அவன்: தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமே, நீர் எனக்கு இரங்கி, லாசரு தன் விரலின் நுனியைத் தண்ணிரீல் தோய்த்து, என் நாக்கைக் குளிரப்பண்ணும்படி அவனை அனுப்பவேண்டும்; இந்த அக்கினியில் வேதனைப்படுகிறேனே என்று கூப்பிட்டான்.
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy life-time receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
௨௫அதற்கு ஆபிரகாம்: மகனே, நீ பூமியிலே உயிரோடு இருக்கும் காலத்தில் உன் நன்மைகளை அனுபவித்தாய், லாசருவும் அப்படியே தீமைகளை அனுபவித்தான், அதை நினைத்துக்கொள்; இப்பொழுது அவன் தேற்றப்படுகிறான், நீயோ வேதனைப்படுகிறாய்.
26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they who would pass from hence to you, cannot; neither can they pass to us, that [would come] from thence.
௨௬அதுவுமல்லாமல், இந்த இடத்திலிருந்து உங்களிடத்திற்குக் கடந்துபோகவும், அந்த இடத்திலிருந்து எங்களிடத்திற்குக் கடந்துவரவும் மனதுள்ளவர்களுக்குக் கூடாதபடிக்கு, எங்களுக்கும் உங்களுக்கும் நடுவே பெரும்பிளவு உண்டாக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது என்றான்.
27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldst send him to my father's house:
௨௭அப்பொழுது அவன்: அப்படியானால், தகப்பனே, எனக்கு ஐந்துபேர் சகோதரர்கள் உண்டு, அவர்களும் வேதனையுள்ள இந்த இடத்திற்கு வராதபடி, அவன்போய் அவர்களுக்கு சாட்சியாக அறிவிக்கும்படியாக,
28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify to them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
௨௮நீர் அவனை என் தகப்பன் வீட்டிற்கு அனுப்பும்படி உம்மை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன் என்றான்.
29 Abraham saith to him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
௨௯ஆபிரகாம் அவனை நோக்கி: அவர்களுக்கு மோசேயும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளும் உண்டு, அவர்களுக்கு அவர்கள் செவிகொடுக்கட்டும் என்றான்.
30 And he said, No, father Abraham: but if one shall go to them from the dead, they will repent.
௩0அதற்கு அவன்: அப்படியல்ல, தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமே, மரித்தோரிலிருந்து ஒருவன் அவர்களிடத்திற்குப்போனால் மனந்திரும்புவார்கள் என்றான்.
31 And he said to him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one shall rise from the dead.
௩௧அதற்கு அவன்: அவர்கள் மோசேக்கும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்கும் செவிகொடாவிட்டால், மரித்தோரிலிருந்து ஒருவன் உயிரோடு எழுந்துபோனாலும், நம்பமாட்டார்கள் என்று சொன்னான் என்றார்.
