Leviticus 3

1 And if his oblation [shall be] a sacrifice of peace-offering, if he shall offer [it] of the herd, whether a male or female; he shall offer it without blemish before the LORD.

Si le présent au Seigneur est une hostie pacifique, si l'homme la prend parmi ses bœufs ou ses vaches, il la choisira sans tache pour l'amener devant le Seigneur.

2 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it [at] the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron's sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.

Et il imposera les mains sur la tête de la victime, il l'égorgera devant le Seigneur à la porte du tabernacle du témoignage; et les prêtres fils d'Aaron répandront le sang sur l'autel des holocaustes, tout autour.

3 And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace-offering, an offering made by fire to the LORD; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that [is] upon the inwards,

Et ils présenteront, de l'hostie pacifique, comme sacrifice au Seigneur, la graisse qui enveloppe les entrailles ainsi que la graisse qui est sur les entrailles,

4 And the two kidneys, and the fat that [is] on them, which [is] by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away.

Les deux rognons, la graisse qui les entoure, celle des cuisses, et le lobe du foie que le prêtre enlèvera avec les rognons.

5 And Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar, upon the burnt-sacrifice which [is] upon the wood that [is] on the fire: [it is] an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to the LORD.

Et les prêtres fils d'Aaron les porteront sur les holocaustes, sur le bois enflammé de l'autel; c'est le sacrifice, l'odeur de suavité pour le Seigneur.

6 And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace-offering to the LORD shall be [of] the flock, male or female; he shall offer it without blemish.

Si le présent au Seigneur est une hostie pacifique prise parmi les menus troupeaux mâle ou femelle, l'homme la choisira sans tache pour en faire l'offrande.

7 If he shall offer a lamb for his offering, then shall he offer it before the LORD.

Si son offrande est un agneau, il l'amènera devant le Seigneur.

8 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron's sons shall sprinkle the blood of it around upon the altar.

Après avoir imposé les mains sur la tête de l'hostie, il l'égorgera devant la porte du tabernacle du témoignage, et les prêtres fils d'Aaron répandront le sang sur l'autel, tout autour.

9 And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace-offering an offering made by fire to the LORD: its fat, [and] the whole rump, that shall he take off hard by the back-bone; and the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that [is] upon the inwards,

Ensuite le prêtre prendra de l'hostie pacifique, comme sacrifice au Seigneur, la graisse et les reins intacts avec les lombes; il les offrira avec toute la graisse qui enveloppe les entrailles, ainsi que toute la graisse qui est dans les entrailles,

10 And the two kidneys, and the fat that [is] upon them, which [is] by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, that shall he take away.

Les deux rognons, la graisse qui les entoure, celle des cuisses, et le lobe du foie qu'il aura enlevé avec les rognons.

11 And the priest shall burn it upon the altar: [it is] the food of the offering made by fire to the LORD.

Le prêtre les offrira sur l'autel; c'est le sacrifice d'odeur de suavité, le sacrifice au Seigneur.

12 And if his offering [shall be] a goat, then he shall offer it before the LORD.

Si le don est pris parmi les chèvres, l'homme l'amènera pareillement devant le Seigneur.

13 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of it, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle its blood upon the altar round about.

Il imposera les mains sur sa tête, et on l'égorgera devant le Seigneur à la porte du tabernacle du témoignage; les prêtres fils d'Aaron répandront le sang sur l'autel, tout autour.

14 And he shall offer of it his offering, [even] an offering made by fire to the LORD; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that [is] upon the inwards,

Et l'un d'eux offrira, de l'hostie, comme sacrifice au Seigneur, la graisse qui enveloppe les entrailles, toute la graisse qui est dans les entrailles,

15 And the two kidneys, and the fat that [is] upon them, which [is] by the flanks, and the caul above the liver, with the kidneys, that shall he take away.

Les deux rognons, la graisse qui les entoure, celle des cuisses, et le lobe du foie qu'il aura enlevé avec les rognons.

16 And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: [it is] the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet savor: all the fat [is] the LORD'S.

Et le prêtre les apportera sur l'autel: sacrifice d'odeur de suavité pour le Seigneur; toute graisse est pour le Seigneur.

17 [It shall be] a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.

C'est une loi perpétuelle pour toutes vos générations, en toutes vos demeures: Ne mangez ni graisse, ni sang.
