Leviticus 22

1 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

യഹോവ മോശയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു:

2 Speak to Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they profane not my holy name [in those things] which they hallow to me: I [am] the LORD.

“ഇസ്രായേല്യർ എനിക്കു ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന വിശുദ്ധയാഗങ്ങളെ, ബഹുമാനത്തോടെ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യണമെന്നും, അങ്ങനെ അവർ എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതെന്നും അഹരോനോടും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോടും പറയുക. ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

3 Say to them, Whoever [he may be] of all your seed among your generations, that approacheth the holy things, which the children of Israel hallow to the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from my presence: I [am] the LORD.

“അവരോടു പറയുക: ‘നിങ്ങളുടെ വരുംതലമുറകളിൽ, നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്തതിപരമ്പരയിൽ ആരെങ്കിലും ആചാരപരമായി അശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, ഇസ്രായേല്യർ യഹോവയ്ക്കു വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ച വഴിപാടുകളുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരികയാണെങ്കിൽ, അയാളെ എന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽനിന്ന് ഛേദിച്ചുകളയണം. ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

4 Whatever man of the seed of Aaron [is] a leper, or hath a running issue; he shall not eat of the holy things, until he is clean. And whoever toucheth any thing [that is] unclean [by] the dead, or a man whose seed goeth from him;

“‘അഹരോന്റെ സന്തതിയിൽ ആർക്കെങ്കിലും കുഷ്ഠമോ ശുക്ലസ്രവമോ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ, ആ മനുഷ്യൻ ശുദ്ധമാകുന്നതുവരെ വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കൾ ഭക്ഷിക്കരുത്. ശവത്തെയോ ബീജസ്ഖലനമുള്ളവനെയോ സ്പർശിക്കുന്നവൻ അശുദ്ധനാകും.

5 Or whoever toucheth any creeping animal, by which he may be made unclean, or a man of whom he may take uncleanness, whatever uncleanness he hath:

അശുദ്ധമായ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഇഴജന്തുവിനെ സ്പർശിക്കുന്നവർ, ആചാരപരമായി അശുദ്ധനായ ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ സ്പർശിക്കുന്നവർ, ഏതെങ്കിലും മാലിന്യത്തെ സ്പർശിക്കുന്നവർ; അശുദ്ധി എന്തുതന്നെയായാലും, ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവർ അശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കും.

6 The soul which hath touched any such shall be unclean until evening, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he shall wash his flesh with water.

ഇവ ഏതെങ്കിലും സ്പർശിക്കുന്നവർ സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കും. അവർ വെള്ളത്തിൽ കുളിച്ചിട്ടല്ലാതെ വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കൾ ഒന്നും ഭക്ഷിക്കരുത്.

7 And when the sun is set, he shall be clean, and shall afterward eat of the holy things, because it [is] his food.

സൂര്യൻ അസ്തമിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ ശുദ്ധരാകും. അതിനുശേഷം അവർക്ക് വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കൾ ഭക്ഷിക്കാം. അത് അവരുടെ ആഹാരമല്ലോ.

8 That which dieth of itself, or is torn [by beasts], he shall not eat to defile himself with it: I [am] the LORD.

ചത്തതോ വന്യമൃഗങ്ങൾ കടിച്ചുകീറിയതോ ആയ ഒന്നും ഭക്ഷിച്ച് അവർ അശുദ്ധരാകരുത്. ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

9 They shall therefore keep my ordinance, lest they bear sin for it, and die therefore, if they profane it: I the LORD do sanctify them.

“‘പുരോഹിതന്മാർ അവ അശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്തു കുറ്റക്കാരായി മരിക്കാതിരിക്കാൻ എന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷ ഗൗരവത്തോടെ ചെയ്യണം. ഞാൻ അവരെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

10 There shall no stranger eat [of] the holy thing: a sojourner of the priest, or a hired servant, shall not eat [of] the holy thing.

“‘പുരോഹിതകുടുംബത്തിന് അന്യരായ ഒരാളും വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളിൽനിന്ന് ഭക്ഷിക്കരുത്, പുരോഹിതന്റെ അതിഥിയോ കൂലിക്കാരനോ അതു തിന്നരുത്.

11 But if the priest shall buy [any] soul with his money, he shall eat of it, and he that is born in his house: they shall eat of his meat.

എന്നാൽ ഒരു പുരോഹിതൻ ഒരു അടിമയെ പണം കൊടുത്തു വാങ്ങുകയോ തന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ഒരു അടിമ ജനിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്താൽ ആ അടിമയ്ക്ക് അവന്റെ ആഹാരം ഭക്ഷിക്കാം.

12 If the priest's daughter also shall be [married] to a stranger, she may not eat of an offering of the holy things.

ഒരു പുരോഹിതന്റെ മകൾ പുരോഹിതനല്ലാത്ത ഒരാളെ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചാൽ അവൾ വിശുദ്ധമായ ഓഹരിയിൽനിന്ന് ഭക്ഷിക്കരുത്.

13 But if the priest's daughter shall be a widow, or divorced, and shall have no child, and have returned to her father's house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father's meat; but there shall no stranger eat of it.

എന്നാൽ ഒരു പുരോഹിതന്റെ മകൾ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളില്ലാതെ വിധവയാകുകയോ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ട്, അവളുടെ യൗവനകാലത്തിലെന്നപോലെ അവളുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നാൽ, അവൾക്ക് അവളുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ ആഹാരം ഭക്ഷിക്കാം. എങ്കിലും ഒരു പുരോഹിതകുടുംബത്തിനു പുറത്തുനിന്നുള്ള ആരും അതിൽനിന്നും ഭക്ഷിക്കരുത്.

14 And if a man shall eat [of] the holy thing unknowingly, then he shall put to it the fifth [part], and shall give [it] to the priest, with the holy thing.

“‘ഒരാൾ അബദ്ധത്തിൽ വിശുദ്ധയാഗം ഭക്ഷിച്ചുപോയാൽ അയാൾ ഭക്ഷിച്ച യാഗവസ്തുവും അതിന്റെ വിലയുടെ അഞ്ചിലൊന്നുംകൂട്ടി പുരോഹിതനു നഷ്ടപരിഹാരം ചെയ്യണം.

15 And they shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel which they offer to the LORD;

ഇസ്രായേല്യർ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അർപ്പിക്കുന്ന വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കൾ—അനുവദനീയമല്ലാത്ത വ്യക്തികൾക്ക് ഭക്ഷിക്കാൻ നൽകുന്നതുമൂലം—പുരോഹിതന്മാർ അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുത്.

16 Or suffer them to bear the iniquity of trespass, when they eat their holy things: for I the LORD do sanctify them.

ഈ അകൃത്യത്തിന്റെ കുറ്റം അവരുടെമേൽ വരികയും നഷ്ടപരിഹാരം നൽകേണ്ടിവരികയും ചെയ്യും. ഞാൻ അവരെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.’”

17 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

യഹോവ മോശയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു:

18 Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them, Whoever [he may be] of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his oblation for all his vows, and for all his free-will-offerings, which they will offer to the LORD for a burnt-offering:

“അഹരോനോടും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോടും സകല ഇസ്രായേല്യരോടും സംസാരിക്കുക. അവരോട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുക: ‘നിങ്ങളിലൊരാൾ—ഇസ്രായേല്യരോ ഇസ്രായേലിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന പ്രവാസിയോ—നേർച്ചയായോ സ്വമേധാദാനമായോ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ഒരു ഹോമയാഗം കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നെങ്കിൽ,

19 [Ye shall offer] at your own will a male without blemish of the beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats.

അതു നിങ്ങളുടെ പേർക്കു സ്വീകാര്യമായിരിക്കാൻ, മാടുകളിൽനിന്നോ ചെമ്മരിയാടുകളിൽനിന്നോ കോലാടുകളിൽനിന്നോ ഊനമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ആണിനെ കൊണ്ടുവരണം.

20 [But] whatever hath a blemish, [that] shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you.

ഊനമുള്ള ഒന്നിനെയും കൊണ്ടുവരരുത്. അതിനാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രസാദം ലഭിക്കുകയില്ല.

21 And whoever offereth a sacrifice of peace-offerings to the LORD to accomplish [his] vow, or a free-will-offering in beeves, or sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted: there shall be in it no blemish.

ഒരു പ്രത്യേക നേർച്ച നിറവേറ്റാനോ സ്വമേധാദാനം അർപ്പിക്കാനോ കാലിക്കൂട്ടത്തിൽനിന്നാകട്ടെ ആട്ടിൻപറ്റത്തിൽനിന്നാകട്ടെ, ഒരാൾ ഒരു സമാധാനയാഗം യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അർപ്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ, അതു സ്വീകാര്യമായിരിക്കാൻ ഊനമോ കളങ്കമോ ഇല്ലാത്തതായിരിക്കണം.

22 Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, ye shall not offer these to the LORD, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar to the LORD.

കുരുടുള്ളതോ മുറിവേറ്റതോ അംഗഭംഗം വന്നതോ അരിമ്പാറയുള്ളതോ പഴുത്തു സ്രവം ഒലിക്കുന്ന ചുണങ്ങുള്ളതോ ആയ ഒന്നും യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അർപ്പിക്കരുത്. ഇവയിലൊന്നും യഹോവയ്ക്കു ദഹനയാഗമായി യാഗപീഠത്തിൽ അർപ്പിക്കരുത്.

23 Either a bullock, or a lamb that hath any thing superfluous or lacking in his parts, that mayest thou offer [for] a free-will-offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted.

എങ്കിലും വിരൂപമായതോ കുറുകിയതോ ആയ ഒരു കാളയെയോ ആണാടിനെയോ സ്വമേധാദാനമായി അർപ്പിക്കാം; എന്നാൽ അത് ഒരു നേർച്ചയുടെ നിർവഹണമായി സ്വീകാര്യമല്ല.

24 Ye shall not offer to the LORD that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall ye make [any offering thereof] in your land.

വൃഷണങ്ങൾ തകർന്നതോ ചതച്ചതോ കീറിയതോ മുറിച്ചതോ ആയ മൃഗത്തെ നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അർപ്പിക്കരുത്. നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം ദേശത്ത് ഇതു ചെയ്യരുത്.

25 Neither from a stranger's hand shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption [is] in them, [and] blemishes [are] in them: they shall not be accepted for you.

ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള മൃഗങ്ങളെ ഒരു പ്രവാസിയുടെ കൈയിൽനിന്ന് സ്വീകരിച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിനു ഭോജനമായി അർപ്പിക്കരുത്. അവ വിരൂപവും അംഗഹീനമുള്ളതും ആയതുകൊണ്ട് അവയാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രസാദം ലഭിക്കുകയില്ല.’”

26 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

യഹോവ മോശയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു:

27 When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for an offering made by fire to the LORD.

“ഒരു കന്നുകുട്ടിയോ ആട്ടിൻകുട്ടിയോ കോലാടോ പിറന്നാൽ അത് ഏഴുദിവസം തള്ളയോടുകൂടെ ആയിരിക്കണം. എട്ടാംദിവസംമുതൽ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ഒരു ദഹനയാഗമായി സ്വീകാര്യമായിരിക്കും.

28 And [whether it is] cow, or ewe, ye shall not kill it and her young both in one day.

ഒരു പശുവിനെയോ ഒരു ആടിനെയോ കൊല്ലുന്നദിവസംതന്നെ അതിന്റെ കുട്ടിയെയും കൊല്ലരുത്.

29 And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the LORD, offer it at your own will.

“നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ഒരു സ്തോത്രയാഗം അർപ്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ പേർക്കു സ്വീകാര്യമാകുന്നവിധം അർപ്പിക്കുക.

30 On the same day it shall be eaten up, ye shall leave none of it until the morrow: I [am] the LORD.

അന്നുതന്നെ അതു ഭക്ഷിക്കണം. പ്രഭാതംവരെ അതിൽ അൽപ്പംപോലും ശേഷിപ്പിക്കരുത്. ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

31 Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I [am] the LORD.

“എന്റെ കൽപ്പനകൾ പ്രമാണിച്ച് അവയെ അനുസരിക്കുക. ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

32 Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I [am] the LORD who hallow you,

എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തെ നിങ്ങൾ അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുത്. ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ മധ്യേ ഞാൻ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെടണം. ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

33 That brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I [am] the LORD.

നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായിരിക്കാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്ന് കൊണ്ടുവന്ന ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.”
