< Lamentations 5 >
1 Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.
Oe BAWIPA kaimanaw dawk ka phat e hno hah, pahnim hanh. Kaimae yeiraiponae hai khen nateh na panuek pouh.
2 Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.
Kaimae râw talai teh, ram louk e kut dawk, imnaw hai Jentelnaw e kut a pha toe.
3 We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers [are] as widows.
Kaimanaw teh nara patetlah ka o toe. Na pa o hoeh dawk kaimae manunaw teh lahmai patetlah ao awh.
4 We have drank our water for money; our wood is sold to us.
Kaimouh teh tui hai aphu hoi ka ran awh. Ka hno awh hane thing hai aphu hoi ka ran awh.
5 Our necks [are] under persecution: we labor, [and] have no rest.
Kaimae hnukkhu rek na patawt dawkvah, ka patang awh. Kaimanaw teh kâhatnae na poe hoeh.
6 We have given the hand [to] the Egyptians, [and to] the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.
Kaimanaw teh rawcarawnei a khout thai nahanlah, Izip ram, Assiria ram naw e a hmalah kutdaw teh ka hei awh.
7 Our fathers have sinned, [and are] not; and we have borne their iniquities.
Kaimae mintoenaw ni a ton awh teh, a kahma awh nakunghai, kaimanaw ni ahnimae a yonnae teh ka phu awh.
8 Servants have ruled over us: [there is] none that doth deliver [us] out of their hand.
Sannaw ni kaimouh teh na uk awh. Ahnimae kut dawk hoi apinihai na rungngang thai hoeh.
9 We procured our bread with [the peril of] our lives, because of the sword of the wilderness.
Kahrawngum vah, tahloi kecu dawk kaimouh teh hring nahanelah, canei hane ka panki teh ka tawng awh.
10 Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.
Takang dawk kaimae vuennaw teh takhuen patetlah a tamang toe.
11 They ravished the women in Zion, [and] the maids in the cities of Judah.
Ahnimouh teh Zion khopui dawk kaawm e napuinaw hoi Judah khopui dawk kaawm napui tanglanaw hah a pacekpahlek awh.
12 Princes were hanged by their hand: the faces of elders were not honored.
Ahnimae kâ dawk hoi bawinaw hah lawk a ceng awh. Kacuenaw hai barilawa awh hoeh.
13 They took the young men to grind, and the children fell under the wood.
Thoundounnaw ni talungsumnaw hah a phu awh. Camonaw ni thing a hrawm thai hoeh e ngangngang a hrawm awh.
14 The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their music.
Kacuenaw ni kho longkha koehoi thoseh, thoundounnaw ni ahnimae tumkhawng koehoi thoseh a ceitakhai awh.
15 The joy of our heart hath ceased; our dance is turned into mourning.
Kaimae lungthin dawkvah, lunghawi nawmnae a kâhat teh, lamtunae dawk hoi khuikanae koelah a coung toe.
16 The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe to us, that we have sinned!
Kaimae lû dawk hoi bawilakhung teh a bo toe. Kaimouh ni ka sak e yon dawkvah, kamamouh koe yawthoenae ao.
17 For this our heart is faint; for these [things] our eyes are dim.
Hote hno dawkvah, kaimae lungthin teh tha ayounnae koe lah, a pha toe. Hote yon dawk kaimae mitnaw hai amom toe.
18 Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it.
Kingkadi e Zion mon dawkvah, Asuinaw ni a paitun awh.
19 Thou, O LORD, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation.
Oe BAWIPA nama teh, a yungyoe na kangning. Nama e bawitungkhung teh catounnaw e lah a yungyoe a kangning.
20 Why dost thou forget us for ever, [and] forsake us so long time?
Bangkongmaw kaimanaw hah pou na pahnim vaw. Bangkongmaw atueng moikasawlah na pahnawt vaw.
21 Turn thou us to thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.
Oe BAWIPA kaimouh teh nama koe bout na bankhai haw. Telah pawiteh, kaimouh teh bout ka tho awh han. Yampa e patetlah kaimae a hninnaw teh a katha lah na pathoup haw.
22 But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.
Hoehpawiteh, nama ni kaimanaw hah na pahnawt han na maw. Kaimanaw hah puenghoi na lungkhueksin han na maw.
