Joshua 23
1 And it came to pass, a long time after that the LORD had given rest to Israel from all their enemies on all sides, that Joshua became old [and] advanced in age.
Ug human sa daghang mga adlaw, sa dihang gipapahulay na ni Yahweh ang Israel gikan sa tanang kaaway nga nagpalibot kanila, tigulang na kaayo si Josue.
2 And Joshua called for all Israel, [and] for their elders, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers, and said to them, I am old [and] advanced in age:
Gipatawag ni Josue ang tanang Israelita—ang ilang mga katigulangan, ang ilang mga pangulo, ang ilang mga maghuhukom, ug ang ilang mga opisyal—ug miingon kanila, “Tigulang na kaayo ako.
3 And ye have seen all that the LORD your God hath done to all these nations because of you; for the LORD your God [is] he that hath fought for you.
Nakita ninyo ang tanang butang nga gibuhat ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios ngadto sa tanang kanasoran alang sa inyong kaayohan, kay si Yahweh nga inyong Dios ang nakig-away alang kaninyo.
4 Behold, I have divided to you by lot these nations that remain, to be an inheritance for your tribes, from Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even to the great sea westward.
Tan-awa! Gibahinbahin ko na kaninyo ang mga nasod nga nahibilin aron buntogon ingon nga panulondon alang sa inyong mga tribo, uban sa tanang kanasoran nga ako nang gilaglag, gikan sa Jordan paingon sa Dakong Dagat sa kasadpan.
5 And the LORD your God, he shall expel them from before you, and drive them from your sight; and ye shall possess their land, as the LORD your God hath promised to you.
Papahawaon sila ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios. Ipahilayo niya sila gikan kaninyo. Ilogon niya ang ilang yuta, ug panag-iyahan ninyo ang ilang yuta, sumala sa gisaad kaninyo ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios.
6 Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside from it [to] the right hand or [to] the left;
Busa pagmalig-on, aron inyong matipigan ug matuman ang tanan nga gisulat sa libro sa balaod ni Moses, nga dili motipas sa tuo ni sa wala niini,
7 That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear [by them], neither serve them, nor bow yourselves to them:
aron dili kamo makasagol niining mga nasod nga nahibilin uban kaninyo o molitok sa mga ngalan sa ilang mga dios, o manumpa pinaagi kanila, o magsimba o magyukbo kanila.
8 But cleave to the LORD your God, as ye have done to this day.
Hinuon, kinahanglan mokupot kamo kang Yahweh nga inyong Dios sama sa inyong gibuhat hangtod karong adlawa.
9 For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but [as for] you, no man hath been able to stand before you to this day.
Kay gipapahawa ni Yahweh sa inyong atubangan ang dako ug kusgan nga mga nasod. Apan alang kaninyo, walay makabarog sa inyong atubangan hangtod karong adlawa.
10 One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he [it is] that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.
Bisan ang usa ka tawo taliwala sa inyong kadaghanon makahimo sa pagpadagan sa usa ka libo, kay si Yahweh nga inyong Dios, mao ang makig-away alang kaninyo, sumala sa iyang gisaad kaninyo.
11 Take good heed therefore to yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.
Hatagi gayod ug pinasahi nga pagtagad, aron higugmaon ninyo si Yahweh nga inyong Dios.
12 Else if ye do in any wise go back, and cleave to the remnant of these nations, [even] these that remain among you, and shall make marriages with them, and associate with them, and they with you:
Apan kung motalikod kamo ug mogunit sa mga nahibilin nga tawo niini nga mga nasod nga nagpabilin taliwala kaninyo, o kung makigminyo kamo kanila, o kung makigtipon kamo kanila ug sila makig-uban kaninyo,
13 Know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out [any of] these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps to you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
hibaloi nga si Yahweh nga inyong Dios dili na gayod mopapahawa niining mga nasora gikan kaninyo. Hinuon, mahimo silang bitik o lit-ag alang kaninyo, mga latos sa inyong mga likod ug mga tunok sa inyong mga mata, hangtod mamatay kamo niining maayo nga yuta nga gihatag ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios kaninyo.
14 And behold, this day I [am] going the way of all the earth; and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you: all are come to pass to you, [and] not one thing hath failed of it.
Ug karon moadto ako sa dalan sa tibuok kalibotan, ug nasayod kamo sa inyong bug-os nga mga kasingkasing ug mga kalag nga walay bisan usa ka pulong ang wala natinuod sa tanang maayong mga butang nga gisaad ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios kaninyo. Miabot ang tanang butang alang kaninyo. Walay bisan usa niini ang napakyas.
15 Therefore it shall come to pass, [that] as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he hath destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
Apan sama nga matuman ang matag pulong nga gisaad ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios kaninyo, magdala usab si Yahweh kaninyo sa tanang daotang mga butang hangtod malaglag niya kamo gikan niining maayong yuta nga gihatag ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios diha kaninyo.
16 When ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given to you.
Himoon niya kini kung supakon ninyo ang kasabotan ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios, nga iyang gisugo nga tipigan. Kung moadto ug mosimba kamo sa laing mga dios ug moyukbo kanila, ang kasuko ni Yahweh mosilaob batok kaninyo, ug dali niya kamong wagtangon gikan sa maayong yuta nga iyang gihatag kaninyo.”
