Joshua 21

1 Then came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel;

茲にレビの族長等來りて祭司ヱレアザル、ヌンの子ヨシユアおよびイスラエルの子孫の支派の族長等の許にいたり

2 And they spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for our cattle.

カナンの地シロにおいて之に語りて言ふヱホバかつて我らに住べき邑々を與ふることおよびその郊地を我らの家畜のために與ふる事をモーセによりて命じおきたまへりと

3 And the children of Israel gave to the Levites out of their inheritance, at the commandment of the LORD, these cities and their suburbs.

イスラエルの子孫すなはちヱホバの命にしたがひて自己の產業の中より左の邑々とその郊地とをレビ人に與ふ

4 And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron the priest, [who were] of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.

先コハテ人の宗族のために籤を掣り祭司アロンの子孫たるレビ人籤によりてユダの支派の中シメオンの支派の中およびベニヤミンの支派の中より十三の邑を獲

5 And the rest of the children of Kohath [had] by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.

その餘のコハテの子孫は籤によりてエフライムの支派の宗族の中ダンの支派の中マナセの支派の半の中より十の邑を獲たり

6 And the children of Gershon [had] by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

またゲシヨンの子孫は籤によりてイツサカルの支派の宗族の中アセルの支派の中ナフタリの支派の中およびバシヤンにあるマナセの支派の半の中より十三の邑を獲たり

7 The children of Merari by their families [had] out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

またメラリの子孫は其宗族にしたがひてルベンの支派の中ガドの支派の中およびゼブルンの支派の中より十二の邑を獲たり

8 And the children of Israel gave by lot to the Levites these cities with their suburbs, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.

イスラエルの子孫ヱホバのモーセによりて命じたまひし所にしたがひて此の邑々とその郊地とを籤によりてレビ人に與ふ

9 And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are [here] mentioned by name,

即ち先ユダの子孫の支派の中およびシメオンの子孫の支派の中より左に名を擧たる邑々を與ふ

10 Which the children of Aaron, [being] of the families of the Kohathites, [who were] of the children of Levi, had: for theirs was the first lot.

是はレビの子孫コハテ人の宗族なるアロンの子孫に歸す其は彼ら第一の籤にあたりたればなり

11 And they gave them the city of Arba the father of Anak (which [city is] Hebron) in the hill -[country] of Judah, with its suburbs round it.

即ちユダの山地なるキリアテアルバ即ちヘブロンおよびその周圍の郊地をこれに與ふ此アルバはアナクの父なりき

12 But the fields of the city, and its villages, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.

その邑の田野およびその村々はこれをエフンネの子カレブに與へて所有となさしむ

13 Thus they gave to the children of Aaron the priest, Hebron with its suburbs, [to be] a city of refuge for the slayer; and Libnah with its suburbs,

祭司アロンの子孫に與へし者は即ち人を殺し者の逃るべき邑なるヘブロンとその郊地リブナとその郊地

14 And Jattir with its suburbs, and Eshtemoa with its suburbs,

ヤツテルとその郊地エシテモアとその郊地

15 And Holon with its suburbs, and Debir with its suburbs,

ホロンとその郊地デビルとその郊地

16 And Ain with its suburbs, and Juttah with its suburbs, [and] Beth-shemesh with its suburbs; nine cities out of those two tribes.

アインとその郊地ユツタとその郊地ベテシメシとその郊地此九の邑は此ふたつの支派の中より分ちしものなり

17 And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with its suburbs, Geba with its suburbs,

またベニヤミンの支派の中よりギベオンとその郊地ゲバとその郊地

18 Anathoth with its suburbs, and Almon with its suburbs; four cities.

アナトテとその郊地アルモンとその郊地など四の邑をあたへたり

19 All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, [were] thirteen cities with their suburbs.

アロンの子孫たる祭司等の邑は合せて十三邑又之につける郊地あり

20 And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites who remained of the children of Kohath, even they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.

この他のコハテの子孫なるレビ人の宗族籤によりてエフライムの支派の中より邑を獲たり

21 For they gave them Shechem with its suburbs in mount Ephraim, [to be] a city of refuge for the slayer; and Gezer with its suburbs,

即ち之に與へしは人を殺せる者の逃るべき邑なるエフライムの山地のシケムとその郊地およびゲゼルとその郊地

22 And Kibzaim with its suburbs, and Beth-horon with its suburbs; four cities.

キブザイムとその郊地ベテホロンとその郊地など四の邑なり

23 And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh with its suburbs, Gibbethon with its suburbs,

又ダンの支派の中より分ちて與へし者はエルテケとその郊地ギベトンとその郊地

24 Ajalon with its suburbs, Gath-rimmon with its suburbs; four cities.

アヤロンとその郊地ガテリンモンとその郊地など四の邑なり

25 And out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with its suburbs, and Gath-rimmon with its suburbs; two cities.

又マナセの支派の半の中より分ちて與へし者はタアナクとその郊地ガテリンモンとその郊地など二の邑なり

26 All the cities [were] ten with their suburbs, for the families of the children of Kohath that remained.

外のコハテの子孫の宗族の邑は合せて十また之につける郊地あり

27 And to the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the [other] half-tribe of Manasseh [they gave] Golan in Bashan with its suburbs, [to be] a city of refuge for the slayer, and Beesh-terah with its suburbs; two cities.

ゲルシヨンの子孫たるレビ人の宗族に與へし者はマナセの支派の半の中よりは人を殺せる者の逃るべき邑なるバシヤンのゴランとその郊地およびベエシテラとその郊地など二の邑なり

28 And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon with its suburbs, Dabareh with its suburbs,

イツサカルの支派の中よりはキシオンとその郊地ダベラとその郊地

29 Jarmuth with its suburbs, En-gannim with its suburbs; four cities.

ヤルムテとその郊地エンガンニムとその郊地など四の邑なり

30 And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with its suburbs, Abdon with its suburbs,

アセルの支派の中よりはミシヤルとその郊地アブドンとその郊地

31 Helkath with its suburbs, and Rehob with its suburbs; four cities.

ヘルカテとその郊地レホブとその郊地など四の邑なり

32 And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with its suburbs, [to be] a city of refuge for the slayer; and Hammoth-dor with its suburbs, and Kartan with its suburbs; three cities.

ナフタリの支派の中よりは人を殺せる者の逃るべき邑なるガリラヤのケデシとその郊地およだハンモテドルとその郊地カルタンとその郊地など三の邑なり

33 All the cities of the Gershonites, according to their families, [were] thirteen cities with their suburbs.

ゲルシヨン人がその宗族にしたがひて獲たる邑は合せて十三邑にして又これに屬る郊地あり

34 And to the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with its suburbs, and Kartah with its suburbs,

この餘のレビ人なるメラリの子孫の宗族に與へし者はゼブルンの支派の中よりはヨクネアムと其郊地カルタとその郊地

35 Dimnah with its suburbs, Nahalal with its suburbs; four cities.

デムナとその郊地ナハラルとその郊地など四の邑なり

36 And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with its suburbs, and Jahazah with its suburbs,

ルベンの支派の中よりはべゼルとその郊地ヤハヅとその郊地

37 Kedemoth with its suburbs, and Mephaath with its suburbs; four cities.

ケデモテとその郊地メバアテとその郊地など四の邑なり

38 And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with its suburbs [to be] a city of refuge for the slayer; and Mahanaim with its suburbs,

ガドの支派の中よりは人を殺せる者の逃るべき邑なるギレアデのラモテとその郊地およびマハナイムとその郊地

39 Heshbon with its suburbs, Jazer with its suburbs; four cities in all.

ヘシボンとその郊地ヤゼルとその郊地など合せて四の邑

40 So all the cities for the children of Merari by their families, which were remaining of the families of the Levites, were [by] their lot twelve cities.

是みな外のレビ人なるメラリの子孫がその宗族にしたがひて獲たる邑々なり其籤によりて獲たる邑は合せて十二

41 All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel [were] forty and eight cities with their suburbs.

イスラエルの子孫の所有の中にレビ人が有る邑々は合せて四十八邑又之につける郊地あり

42 These cities were every one with their suburbs around them. Thus [were] all these cities.

この邑々は各々その周圍に郊地あり此邑々みな然り

43 And the LORD gave to Israel all the land which he swore to give to their fathers: and they possessed it, and dwelt in it.

かくヱホバ、イスラエルに與へんとその先祖等に誓ひたまひし地をことごとく與へたまひければ彼ら之を獲て其處に住り

44 And the LORD gave them rest on all sides, according to all that he swore to their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.

ヱホバ凡てその先祖等に誓ひたまひし如く四方におて彼らに安息を賜へり其すべての敵の中に一人も之に當ることを得る者なかりきヱホバかれらの敵をことごとくその手に付したまへり

45 There failed not aught of any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel; all came to pass.

ヱホバがイスラエルの家に語りたまひし善事は一だに缺ずして悉くみな來りぬ
