< Joshua 1 >

1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, it came to pass, that the LORD spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses's minister, saying,
Atamwalira Mose mtumiki wa Mulungu, Yehova anati kwa Yoswa mwana wa Nuni mthandizi wa Mose:
2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, to the land which I do give to them, [even] to the children of Israel.
“Mose mtumiki wanga wamwalira. Ndipo iwe ndi anthu onsewa, tsopano konzekani kuwoloka mtsinje wa Yorodani kupita ku dziko limene ndiwapatse Aisraeli onse.
3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given to you, as I said to Moses.
Paliponse pamene phazi lanu liponde, ndikupatsani monga momwe ndinalonjezera Mose.

5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, [so] I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Palibe munthu amene adzatha kukugonjetsa masiku onse a moyo wako. Monga Ine ndinakhalira ndi Mose, chomwechonso ndidzakhala nawe. Sindidzakusiya kapena kukataya.

“Ukhale wamphamvu ndi wolimba mtima, chifukwa iwe udzatsogolera anthu awa kukalandira dziko limene Ine ndinalonjeza makolo awo kuti ndidzawapatsa.
7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it [to] the right hand or [to] the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
Ukhale wamphamvu ndi wolimba mtima kwambiri. Usamale ndithu kuti umvere malamulo onse amene mtumiki wanga Mose anakupatsa. Usachoke pa malamulo anga ndipo kulikonse kumene udzapite udzapambana.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate in it day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all [that is] written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,
Tsono Yoswa analamula atsogoleri a Aisraeli nawawuza kuti,
11 Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you provisions; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it.
“Pitani ku misasa yonse ndipo muwuze anthu kuti, ‘Konzekani, mangani katundu wanu, popeza pakapita masiku atatu kuyambira lero mudzawoloka Yorodani kupita kukatenga dziko limene Yehova Mulungu wanu akukupatsani.’”
12 And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, spoke Joshua, saying,
Koma Yoswa anawuza fuko la Rubeni, fuko la Gadi ndi theka la fuko la Manase kuti,
13 Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.
“Kumbukirani zimene Mose mtumiki wa Yehova anakulamulani kuti, ‘Yehova Mulungu wanu akukupatsani mpumulo, ndi dziko ili kuti likhale lanu.’
14 Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side of Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valor, and help them;

16 And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us, we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go.
Kenaka iwo anayankha Yoswa kuti, “Ife tidzachita chilichonse chimene mwatilamula, ndipo kulikonse kumene mudzatitume tidzapita.
17 According as we hearkened to Moses in all things, so will we hearken to thee: only the LORD thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses.
Monga momwe tinamvera Mose kwathunthu, chomwechonso tidzakumvera iwe. Yehova Mulungu wanu akhale nanu monga momwe anachitira ndi Mose.
