< John 17 >

1 These words spoke Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
Naʻe lea ʻaki ʻe Sisu ʻae ngaahi lea ni, ʻo hanga hake hono fofonga ki he langi, ʻo ne pehē, “ʻE Tamai, kuo hokosia ʻae ʻaho; fakaongoongolelei ho ʻAlo, koeʻuhi ke fakaongoongolelei koe ʻe ho ʻAlo foki:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. (aiōnios g166)
He kuo ke tuku kiate ia ʻae pule ki he kakai kotoa pē, koeʻuhi ke ne foaki ʻae moʻui taʻengata kiate kinautolu kotoa pē kuo ke foaki kiate ia. (aiōnios g166)
3 And this is life eternal, that they may know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent. (aiōnios g166)
Pea ko eni ʻae moʻui taʻengata, ko ʻenau ʻilo koe ko e ʻOtua moʻoni pe taha, mo Sisu Kalaisi, ʻaia naʻa ke fekau. (aiōnios g166)
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
Kuo u fakaongoongolelei koe ʻi māmani: kuo u fakaʻosi ʻae ngāue naʻa ke tuku mai ke u fai.
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thy ownself, with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
Pea ko eni, ʻe Tamai, ke ke fakaongoongolelei au ʻi ho ʻao, ʻaki ʻae nāunau naʻaku maʻu mo koe, ʻi he teʻeki ngaohi ʻa māmani.
6 I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou gavest to me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.
“Kuo u fakaʻilo ho huafa ki he kau tangata naʻa ke foaki kiate au mei māmani: naʻe ʻaʻau ʻakinautolu, pea naʻa ke foaki ʻakinautolu kiate au; pea kuo nau maʻu hoʻo folofola.
7 Now they have known that all things whatever thou hast given me are from thee.
Pea ʻoku nau ʻilo eni ko e meʻa kotoa pē kuo ke tuku kiate au, ʻoku meiate koe ia.
8 For I have given to them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received [them], and have known surely that I came from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
He kuo u tuku kiate kinautolu ʻae ngaahi folofola naʻa ke tuku kiate au; pea kuo nau maʻu ia, pea kuo nau ʻilo pau naʻaku haʻu meiate koe, pea kuo nau tui naʻa ke fekauʻi au.
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them whom thou hast given to me; for they are thine.
“ʻOku ou lotua ʻakinautolu: ʻoku ʻikai te u lotua ʻa māmani, ka ko kinautolu kuo ke foaki kiate au; he ʻoku ʻaʻau ʻakinautolu.
10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
Pea ʻoku ʻaʻau ʻae ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē ʻoku ʻaʻaku, pea ʻoku ʻaʻaku ʻae ngaahi meʻa ʻoku ʻaʻau; pea ʻoku ou ongoongolelei ʻiate kinautolu.
11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thy own name those whom thou hast given to me, that they may be one, as we [are].
Pea ko eni, ʻoku ʻikai te u kei ʻi māmani, ka ʻoku ʻi māmani ʻakinautolu ni, pea ʻoku ou ʻalu atu kiate koe. ʻE Tamai Māʻoniʻoni, tauhi ʻi ho huafa ʻoʻou ʻakinautolu kuo ke foaki kiate au, koeʻuhi ke nau taha pe, ʻo hangē ko kitaua.
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest to me I have kept, and none of them is lost but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
‌ʻI heʻeku ʻiate kinautolu ʻi māmani, ne u tauhi ʻakinautolu ʻi ho huafa: ko kinautolu naʻa ke foaki kiate au kuo u tauhi, pea ʻoku ʻikai mole hanau taha, ka ko e foha ʻoe malaʻia; ʻaia ʻoku fakamoʻoni ai ʻae tohi.
13 And now I come to thee, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
Pea ko eni, ʻoku ou ʻalu atu kiate koe; pea ʻoku ou lea ʻaki ʻae ngaahi meʻa ni ʻi māmani, koeʻuhi ke kakato ai ʻenau fiefia ʻiate au.
14 I have given to them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Kuo u tuku kiate kinautolu ʻa hoʻo folofola; pea kuo fehiʻa ʻa māmani kiate kinautolu, koeʻuhi ʻoku ʻikai ʻo māmani ʻakinautolu, ʻo hangē foki ʻoku ʻikai ʻo māmani au.
15 I pray not that thou shouldst take them out of the world, but that thou shouldst keep them from the evil.
‌ʻOku ʻikai te u lotu ke ke ʻave ʻakinautolu mei he māmani, ka koeʻuhi ke ke fakamoʻui ʻakinautolu mei he kovi.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
‌ʻOku ʻikai ʻo māmani ʻakinautolu, ʻo hangē ʻoku ʻikai ʻo māmani au.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Fakatapui ʻakinautolu ʻi hoʻo moʻoni: ko hoʻo folofola ko e moʻoni ia.
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
Hangē ko hoʻo fekau au ki māmani, ʻoku pehē ʻeku fekau ʻakinautolu ki māmani.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified through the truth.
Pea ʻoku ou fakatapui au koeʻuhi ko kinautolu, koeʻuhi ke fakatapui ʻakinautolu foki ʻi he moʻoni.
20 Neither pray I for these alone; but for them also who shall believe on me through their word.
“Pea ʻoku ʻikai ko ʻeku lotua ʻakinautolu ni pē, ka ko kinautolu foki ʻe tui kiate au ʻi heʻenau lea;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest to me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one.
Pea ko e nāunau naʻa ke tuku kiate au, kuo u tuku kiate kinautolu; koeʻuhi ke taha pe ʻakinautolu, ʻo hangē foki ʻoku ta taha pe:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them as thou hast loved me.
Ko au ʻiate kinautolu, mo koe ʻiate au, koeʻuhi ke fakahaohaoa fakataha ʻakinautolu; pea ke ʻilo ʻe māmani kuo ke fekau au, pea ʻoku ke ʻofa kiate kinautolu, ʻo hangē ko hoʻo ʻofa kiate au.
24 Father, I will that they also whom thou hast given to me be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory which thou hast given to me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
‌ʻE Tamai, ko hoku loto foki kiate kinautolu kuo ke foaki kiate au, ke nau ʻiate au ʻi he potu ʻoku ou ʻi ai: koeʻuhi ke nau mamata ki hoku nāunau, ʻaia kuo ke foaki kiate au: he naʻa ke ʻofa kiate au ʻoku teʻeki ke fakatupu ʻa māmani.
25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
‌ʻE Tamai Māʻoniʻoni, ʻoku ʻikai ʻiloʻi koe ʻe māmani: ka kuo u ʻilo koe, pea kuo ʻilo ʻekinautolu ni naʻa ke fekau au.
26 And I have declared to them thy name, and will declare [it]: that the love with which thou hast loved me, may be in them, and I in them.
Pea kuo u fakahā kiate kinautolu ho huafa, pea te u [toe ]fakahā [ia]: koeʻuhi ke ʻiate kinautolu ʻae ʻofa ko ia kuo ke ʻofa ʻaki kiate au, pea u nofoʻia ʻakinautolu ʻeau.”
