John 15

1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

१“मीच खरा द्राक्षवेल आहे आणि माझा पिता माळी आहे.

2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh away; and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he cleaneth it, that it my bring forth more fruit.

२माझ्यातील, फळ न देणारा, प्रत्येक फाटा तो काढून टाकतो आणि फळ देणार्‍या प्रत्येक फाट्याला अधिक फळ यावे म्हणून तो त्यास साफसूफ करतो.

3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken to you.

३जे वचन मी तुम्हास सांगितले त्यामुळे, तुम्ही आता शुद्ध झालाच आहात.

4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine: no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

४तुम्ही माझ्यामध्ये राहा आणि मी तुम्हामध्ये राहीन. जसे फाटा वेलात राहिल्यावाचून त्यास आपल्याआपण फळ देता येत नाही, तसे माझ्यामध्ये राहिल्यावाचून तुम्हासही देता येणार नाही.

5 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

५मीच वेल आहे, तुम्ही फाटे आहा; जो माझ्यामध्ये राहतो आणि मी ज्याच्यामध्ये राहतो तो पुष्कळ फळ देतो, कारण माझ्यापासून वेगळे असल्यास तुम्हास काही करीता येत नाही.

6 If a man abideth not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered: and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.

६कोणी माझ्यामध्ये राहिला नाही, तर त्यास फाट्याप्रमाणे बाहेर टाकतात व तो वाळून जातो आणि तसले फाटे गोळा करून अग्नीत टाकतात व ते जळून जातात.

7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye may ask what ye will, and it shall be done to you.

७तुम्ही माझ्यामध्ये राहीला आणि माझी वचने तुम्हामध्ये राहिली तर जे काही तुम्हास पाहिजे असेल ते मागा म्हणजे ते तुम्हास मिळेल.

8 In this is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

८तुम्ही विपुल फळ दिल्याने माझ्या पित्याचे गौरव होते; आणि तुम्ही माझे शिष्य व्हाल.

9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

९जशी पित्याने माझ्यावर प्रीती केली तशीच मीही तुम्हावर प्रीती केली आहे; तसेच तुम्हीही माझ्या प्रीतीत रहा.

10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

१०जसा मी माझ्या पित्याच्या आज्ञा पाळून त्याच्या प्रीतीत राहतो, तसेच तुम्ही माझ्या आज्ञा पाळाल तर तुम्ही माझ्या प्रीतीत रहाल.

11 These things have I spoken to you, that my joy may remain in you, and [that] your joy may be full.

११माझा आनंद तुम्हामध्ये असावा आणि तुमचा आनंद परिपूर्ण व्हावा म्हणून मी हे तुम्हास या गोष्टी सांगितल्या आहेत.

12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

१२जशी मी तुम्हावर प्रीती केली तशीच तुम्ही एकमेकांवर प्रीती करावी अशी माझी आज्ञा आहे.

13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

१३आपल्या मित्रांसाठी आपला जीव द्यावा यापेक्षा कोणाची प्रीती मोठी नाही.

14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatever I command you.

१४मी तुम्हास जे काही सांगतो ते तुम्ही कराल तर तुम्ही माझे मित्र आहात.

15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you.

१५मी तुम्हास आतापासून दास म्हणत नाही, कारण धनी काय करतो ते दासास कळत नाही; पण मी तुम्हास मित्र म्हणले आहे, कारण मी ज्या गोष्टी पित्याकडून ऐकून घेतल्या त्या सर्व मी तुम्हास कळवल्या आहेत.

16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

१६तुम्ही मला निवडले नाही, तर मी तुम्हास निवडले आणि नेमले आहे; यामध्ये हेतू हा आहे की, तुम्ही जाऊन, फळ द्यावे, तुमचे फळ टिकावे आणि जे काही तुम्ही माझ्या नावाने पित्याजवळ मागाल ते त्याने तुम्हास द्यावे.

17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.

१७तुम्ही एकमेकांवर प्रीती करावी म्हणून मी तुम्हास या आज्ञा करतो.

18 If the world hateth you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.

१८जग जर तुमचा द्वेष करते तर तुमचा द्वेष करण्याच्यापूर्वी त्याने माझाही केला आहे.

19 If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

१९जर तुम्ही जगाचे असता तर जगाने स्वकीयांवर प्रीती केली असती. पण तुम्ही जगाचे नाही, मी तुम्हास जगांतून निवडले आहे, म्हणून जग तुमचा द्वेष करते,

20 Remember the word that I said to you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

२०‘दास धन्यापेक्षा मोठा नाही’ हे जे वचन मी तुम्हास सांगितले त्याची आठवण करा. ते माझ्या पाठीस लागले तर ते तुमच्याही पाठीस लागतील; त्यांनी माझे वचन पाळले तर ते तुमचेही पाळतील.

21 But all these things will they do to you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

२१पण ते माझ्या नावाकरता हे सर्व तुम्हास करतील; कारण ज्याने मला पाठवले त्यास ते ओळखीत नाहीत.

22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.

२२मी जर आलो नसतो आणि त्यांच्याशी बोललो नसतो तर त्यांच्याकडे पाप नसते, पण आता त्यांना आपल्या पापाविषयी निमित्त सांगता येत नाही.

23 He that hateth me, hateth my Father also.

२३जो माझा द्वेष करतो तो माझ्या पित्याचाही द्वेष करतो.

24 If I had not done among them the works which no other man hath done, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen, and hated both me and my Father.

२४जी कामे दुसर्‍या कोणी केली नाहीत ती मी त्यांच्यामध्ये केली नसती तर त्यांच्याकडे पाप नसते. पण आता त्यांनी मला आणि माझ्या पित्यालाही पाहिले आहे व आमचा द्वेष केला आहे.

25 But [this cometh to pass], that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

२५तथापि ‘त्यांनी विनाकारण माझा द्वेष केला’ हे जे वचन त्यांच्या शास्त्रात लिहिले आहे ते पूर्ण व्हावे म्हणून हे असे होते.

26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send to you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, who proceedeth from the Father, he will testify concerning me.

२६पण जो पित्यापासून निघतो, ज्याला मी पित्यापासून तुम्हाकडे पाठवीन तो कैवारी म्हणजे सत्याचा आत्मा येईल तेव्हा तो माझ्याविषयी साक्ष देईल.

27 And ye also shall bear testimony, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

२७आणि तुम्ही पहिल्यापासून माझ्याबरोबर आहात म्हणून तुम्हीही साक्ष द्याल.”
