< John 13 >

1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
Un priekš Lieldienas svētkiem Jēzus zinādams, ka Viņa laiks bija nācis, no šīs pasaules iet pie Tā Tēva, tā kā Viņš mīlējis tos savējos, kas bija pasaulē, tā Viņš tos mīlēja līdz galam.
2 And supper being ended (the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's [son], to betray him; )
Un vakariņu ēdot, (kad jau velns Jūdasam Iskariotam, Sīmaņa dēlam, sirdī bija iedevis, Viņu nodot),
3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God, and was going to God;
Jēzus, zinādams, ka Tas Tēvs Viņam visas lietas bija devis rokās, un ka Viņš nācis no Dieva un aizies pie Dieva,
4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
Cēlās no vakariņa, novilka savus svārkus un priekšautu ņēmis ar to apsējās.
5 After that, he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples feet, and to wipe [them] with the towel with which he was girded.
6 Then he cometh to Simon Peter: and Peter saith to him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
Tad Viņš nāk pie Sīmaņa Pētera. Tas uz Viņu saka: “Kungs, vai Tu man kājas mazgāsi?”
7 Jesus answered and said to him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
Jēzus atbildēja un uz to sacīja: “Ko Es daru, to tu tagad nezini, bet pēc tu to sapratīsi.”
8 Peter saith to him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. (aiōn g165)
Tad Pēteris uz Viņu saka: “Nemūžam Tev nebūs manas kājas mazgāt.” Jēzus tam atbildēja: “Ja Es tevi nemazgāšu, tad tev nebūs daļas ar Mani.” (aiōn g165)
9 Simon Peter saith to him, Lord, not my feet only, but also [my] hands and [my] head.
10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash [his] feet, but is wholly clean: and ye are clean, but not all.
11 For he knew who would betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
Jo Viņš Savu nodevēju gan zināja; tāpēc Viņš sacīja: “Jūs neesat visi šķīsti.”
12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said to them, Know ye what I have done to you?
Kad Tas nu viņu kājas bija mazgājis, tad Viņš ņēma savus svārkus un atkal nosēdās un uz tiem sacīja: “Vai jūs zināt, ko Es jums esmu darījis?
13 Ye call me Master, and Lord: and ye say well; for [so] I am.
14 If I then, [your] Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
Ja tad Es, jūsu Kungs un Mācītājs, jūsu kājas esmu mazgājis, tad arī jums būs cits citam kājas mazgāt.
15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
16 Verily, verily, I say to you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
Ja jūs tā zināt, svētīgi jūs esat, kad jūs to darāt.
18 I speak not of you all; I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me, hath lifted up his heel against me.
19 Now I tell you before it cometh, that when it hath come to pass, ye may believe that I am [he].
Tagad Es jums to saku, pirms tas notiek, lai, kad tas notiek, jūs ticat, ka Es Tas esmu.
20 Verily, verily, I say to you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send, receiveth me; and he that receiveth me, receiveth him that sent me.
21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say to you, that one of you will betray me.
To sacījis, Jēzus garā aizgrābts liecināja un sacīja: “Patiesi, Es jums saku, viens no jums Mani nodos.”
22 Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spoke.
23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom, one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
Un viens no viņa mācekļiem sēdēja pie Jēzus krūtīm, to Jēzus mīlēja.
24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, to ask who it should be of whom he spoke.
25 He then lying on Jesus' breast, saith to him, Lord, who is it?
26 Jesus answered, He it is to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped [it]. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave [it] to Judas Iscariot, [the son] of Simon.
Jēzus atbild: “Tas ir tas, kam Es to kumosu iemērktu došu;” tad Viņš iemērca to kumosu un dod to Jūdasam, Sīmaņa dēlam, Iskariotam.
27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus to him, What thou doest, do quickly.
Tad Jēzus uz to saka: “Ko tu dari, to dari drīz.”
28 Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spoke this to him.
Bet neviens no tiem, kas tur klāt sēdēja, nesaprata, kāpēc Viņš tam to sacīja.
29 For some [of them] thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said to him, Buy [those things] that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.
30 He then having received the sop, went immediately out: and it was night.
Tad nu, to kumosu ņēmis, viņš izgāja tūdaļ ārā, un nakts bija.
31 Therefore when he had gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
32 If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and will immediately glorify him.
33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye will seek me: and, as I said to the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.
Bērniņi, Es vēl mazu brīdi esmu pie jums. Jūs Mani meklēsiet, un kā Es tiem Jūdiem esmu sacījis: uz kurieni Es eju, tur jūs nevarat nākt; tā Es jums tagad saku.
34 A new commandment I give to you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Jaunu bausli Es jums dodu, ka jūs cits citu mīlējāt, itin kā Es jūs esmu mīlējis, ka arī jūs cits citu mīlējiet.
35 By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Pie tam visi nomanīs, ka jūs esat Mani mācekļi, ja jums ir mīlestība savā starpā.”
36 Simon Peter said to him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterward.
Sīmanis Pēteris uz Viņu saka: “Kungs, kurp Tu ej?” Jēzus tam atbildēja: “Kur Es eju, tur tu tagad Man nevari nākt pakaļ, bet pēcgalā tu Man nāksi pakaļ.”
37 Peter said to him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.
Pēteris uz Viņu saka: “Kungs, kāpēc es tagad Tev nevaru iet pakaļ? Savu dzīvību es par Tevi nodošu.”
38 Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say to thee, The cock will not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.
Jēzus tam atbildēja: “Vai tu par Mani savu dzīvību nodosi? Patiesi, patiesi, Es tev saku: gailis nedziedās, pirms tu trīskārt Mani neaizliegsi.
