John 12
1 Then Jesus, six days before the passover, came to Bethany, where Lazarus was who had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
১নিস্তাৰ-পৰ্বৰ ছয় দিনৰ আগতে যীচু বৈথনিয়া গাওঁলৈ আহিল, সেই ঠাইত লাজাৰে বাস কৰিছিল৷ এই জন লাজাৰকে যীচুৱে মৃত্যুৰ পৰা তুলিছিল।
2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.
২সেই ঠাইতে তেওঁলোকে যীচুৰ কাৰণে ৰাতিৰ আহাৰ যুগুত কৰিলে। মাৰ্থাই খোৱা আহাৰ বাঢ়ি দিছিল, যীচুৰ লগত যি সকলে ভোজনত বহিছিল তেওঁলোকৰ মাজতে লাজাৰো আছিল।
3 Then Mary took a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odor of the ointment.
৩তেতিয়া মৰিয়মে বহুমুল্য বিশুদ্ধ জটামাংসীৰ সুগন্ধি তেল আনি যীচুৰ চৰণত ঘঁহিলে আৰু নিজৰ চুলিৰে যীচুৰ চৰণ মচি সেই তেল সানি দিলে; তেতিয়া সেই তেলৰ সু-গন্ধই গোটেই ঘৰ জুৰিলে।
4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's [son], who was to betray him,
৪তেতিয়া তেওঁৰ শিষ্য সকলৰ মাজৰ যি জনে তেওঁক শত্ৰুৰ হাতত শোধাই দিব, সেই ঈষ্কৰিয়োতীয়া যিহূদাই মৰিয়মৰ এই কার্যক বিৰোধ কৰিলে আৰু ক’লে,
5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
৫“আমি এই তেল তিনি শ আধলিত বিক্ৰী কৰি, দৰিদ্ৰ সকলৰ মাজত কিয় দান নকৰিলোঁ?”
6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bore what was put in it.
৬তেওঁ যে দৰিদ্ৰ সকললৈ চিন্তা কৰি এই কথা কৈছিল, এনে নহয়, কিন্তু তেওঁ চোৰ; তেওঁৰ হাতত ধনৰ জোলোঙা আছিল, সেই কাৰণে তাৰ ভিতৰত যি দিয়া যায়, তাকে তেওঁ চোৰ কৰে, এই কাৰণতে তেওঁ এনে কথা কৈছিল।
7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burial hath she kept this.
৭তেতিয়া যীচুৱে ক’লে, “তেওঁক অকলে থাকিবলৈ দিয়া! মোক মৈদামত থোৱা দিনৰ কাৰণে তেওঁক এই সুগন্ধি ৰাখিবলৈ দিয়া হৈছিল৷
8 For the poor ye have always with you; but me ye have not always.
৮কিয়নো দৰিদ্ৰ সকল তোমালোকৰ লগত সদায় থাকিব; কিন্তু মই তোমালোকৰ লগত সদায় নাথাকো।”
9 Many people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came, not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
৯ইহুদী সকলৰ বহুতে গম পালে যে, যীচু বৈথনিয়াতে আছে। তেতিয়া তেওঁলোক তালৈ আহিল, কিন্তু যীচুক চাবৰ কাৰণে যে আহিল এনে নহয়, যি জন লাজাৰক মৃত লোকৰ মাজৰ পৰা যীচুৱে তুলিছিল, সেই জন লাজাৰক চাবলৈহে তেওঁলোক আহিল।
10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;
১০সেয়েহে প্ৰধান পুৰোহিত সকলে লাজাৰক বধ কৰিবলৈ চক্ৰান্ত কৰিব ধৰিলে;
11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
১১কিয়নো সেই কাৰণে বহুতো ইহুদী লোকে যীচুত বিশ্বাস কৰিছিল।
12 On the next day, many people that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
১২পাছদিনা নিস্তাৰপৰ্বলৈ অহা লোক সকলে শুনিবলৈ পালে যে, যীচু যিৰূচালেমলৈ আহিছে ৷
13 Took branches of palm-trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna; Blessed [is] the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
১৩তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে খেজুৰ পাত হাতত লৈ তেওঁক আগ বঢ়াবলৈ নগৰলৈ গল আৰু চিঞৰি-চিঞৰি ক’লে, “হোচানা! হোচানা! যি জন প্ৰভুৰ নামেৰে আহিছে, ঈশ্বৰে তেওঁক আশীর্বাদ কৰক৷ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ৰজাক ঈশ্বৰে আশীর্বাদ কৰক।”
14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
১৪তেতিয়া যীচুৱে এটা গাধ পোৱালি দেখা পালে আৰু তেওঁ তাৰ ওপৰত বহিল, যেনেকৈ শাস্ত্ৰত লিখা আছে
15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
১৫“তোমালোকে ভয় নকৰিবা, হে চিয়োন জীয়ৰী; চোৱা তোমালোকৰ ৰজা আহিছে, তেওঁ গাধ পোৱালিৰ ওপৰত উঠি আহিছে৷”
16 These things his disciples understood not at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written concerning him, and [that] they had done these things to him.
১৬এই সকলো বিষয় তেওঁৰ শিষ্য সকলে প্ৰথমতে বুজি পোৱা নাছিল; কিন্তু যেতিয়া যীচু মহিমাম্বিত হৈ উত্তোলিত হ’ল, তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকৰ মনত পৰিল যে, শাস্ত্ৰত এই বিষয়ে লিখা আছিল আৰু তেওঁলোকে তেওঁৰ কাৰণে এনে কৰ্ম কৰিছিল।
17 The people therefore that were with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bore testimony.
১৭যেতিয়া যীচুৱে লাজাৰক মৈদামৰ পৰা উঠি আহিবলৈ কৈছিল আৰু তেওঁক মৃত লোকৰ মাজৰ পৰা জীৱিত কৰি তুলিছিল, সেই সময়ত যি সকল লোক তেওঁৰ লগত আছিল, তেওঁলোকে এই বিষয়ে আন লোকৰ আগত সাক্ষ্য দিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
18 For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.
১৮এই কাৰণে লোক সকলে তেওঁক দেখা কৰিবলৈ আহিল, কিয়নো তেওঁলোকে শুনিছিল যে, এই আচৰিত কার্যবোৰ তেওঁ কৰিছে।
19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
১৯তাতে ফৰীচী সকলে ইজনে সিজনৰ মাজত কোৱা-কুই কৰি ক’লে, “তোমালোকে দেখিলা, আমাৰ সকলো চেষ্টা ব্যর্থ হল৷ চোৱা, গোটেই জগত খনে তেওঁৰ পাছত গ’ল।”
20 And there were certain Greeks among them, that came to worship at the feast.
২০সেই সময়ত নিস্তাৰ পর্ব উপলক্ষে উপাসনা কৰিবৰ বাবে লোক সকল যিৰূচালেমলৈ আহিছিল, তেওঁলোকৰ মাজত কেইজনমান গ্ৰীক মানুহ আছিল।
21 The same came therefore to Philip, who was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
২১তেওঁলোকে গালীল দেশৰ বৈৎ-চৈদা গাওঁৰ পৰা ফিলিপৰ ওচৰলৈ আহি অনুৰোধ কৰি ক’লে, “হে মহাশয়, আমি যীচুক চাবলৈ ইচ্ছা কৰোঁ।”
22 Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again, Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
২২ফিলিপে আহি আন্দ্ৰিয়ক এই কথা ক’লে; তেতিয়া আন্দ্ৰিয়ই ফিলিপে সৈতে আহি যীচুক জনালে।
23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
২৩যীচুৱে উত্তৰ দি তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “মানুহৰ পুত্ৰ মহিমান্বিত হ’বৰ সময় হৈছে।
24 Verily, verily, I say to you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
২৪মই তোমালোকক অতি স্বৰূপকৈ কওঁ, ধানৰ গুটি এটি যদি মাটিত পৰি মৰি নাযায়, তাতে সি অকল এটা গুটি হৈয়েই থাকে; কিন্তু যদি মৰে, তেনেহলে তাত অনেক গুটি ধৰে।
25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world, shall keep it to life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
২৫যি কোনোৱে নিজৰ জীৱনক প্ৰেম কৰে, তেওঁ তাক হেৰুৱাই আৰু যি কোনোৱে এই জগতত নিজৰ জীৱনক প্ৰেম নকৰে, তেওঁ অনন্ত জীৱনলৈ তাক ৰক্ষা কৰে। (aiōnios g166)
26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will [my] Father honor.
২৬কোনোৱে যদি মোৰ পৰিচৰ্যা কৰিব খোজে, তেনেহলে তেওঁ মোৰ পাছে পাছে আহক; তাতে মই যি ঠাইত থাকোঁ, মোৰ সেৱক জনো সেই ঠাইতে থাকিব; কোনোৱে যদি মোৰ সেৱা কৰে, তেনেহলে মোৰ পিতৃয়ে তেওঁক সমাদৰ কৰিব।
27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause I came to this hour.
২৭এতিয়া মোৰ প্ৰাণ ব্যাকুল হৈছে আৰু মই কি ক’ম? হে পিতৃ, এই সময়ৰ পৰা মোক ৰক্ষা কৰা, ইয়াকে ক’ম নে? কিন্তু এই কাৰণেহে মই এই সময়লৈ আহিলোঁ।
28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, [saying], I have both glorified [it], and will glorify [it] again.
২৮হে পিতৃ, তোমাৰ নাম মহিমাম্বিত কৰা৷” তেতিয়া স্বৰ্গৰ পৰা এটা বাণী আহিল আৰু ক’লে, “মই মহিমান্বিত কৰিলোঁ, আকৌ মহিমান্বিত কৰিম”।
29 The people therefore that stood by, and heard [it], said that it thundered. Others said, An angel spoke to him.
২৯তেতিয়া তাতে লোক সকল থিয় হৈ আছিল আৰু তেওঁলোকে ইয়াক মেঘ-গর্জন বুলি কলে; কিছুমানে কলে, “স্বর্গৰ দূতে তেওঁৰ সৈতে কথা ক’লে।”
30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
৩০যীচুৱে উত্তৰ দি ক’লে, “মোৰ কাৰণে এই বাণী হোৱা নাই, তোমালোকৰ কাৰণেহে এই বাণী হ’ল।
31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
৩১এতিয়া এই জগতৰ সোধ-বিচাৰ হৈছে; এতিয়া এই জগতৰ অধিকাৰীক বাহিৰ কৰা হ’ব;
32 And I, if I shall be lifted up from the earth, will draw all [men] to me.
৩২আৰু মই পৃথিৱীৰ পৰা উত্তোলিত হ’লে, সকলোকে মোৰ ওচৰলৈ আকৰ্ষণ কৰিম।”
33 (This he said, signifying what death he should die.)
৩৩তেওঁৰ মৃত্যু কেনে ধৰণে হব, সেই বিষয়ে বুজাবলৈ তেওঁ এই কথা ক’লে।
34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man? (aiōn g165)
৩৪তাতে লোক সকলে তেওঁক উত্তৰ দি কলে, “আমি বিধান-শাস্ত্ৰত শুনিছোঁ, খ্ৰীষ্ট চিৰকাল থাকিব; তেনেহলে এনে কথা আপুনি কেনেকৈ কৈছে যে, ‘মানুহৰ পুত্ৰ উত্তোলিত হব? মানুহৰ পুত্ৰ নো কোন’?” (aiōn g165)
35 Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
৩৫তেতিয়া যীচুৱে তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “তোমালোকৰ মাজত এতিয়াও অলপ কাল পোহৰ আছে। যেতিয়ালৈকে পোহৰ আছে, আগবাঢ়ি থাকা; যাতে আন্ধাৰে তোমালোকক পাছ নেপেলাই। যি জন আন্ধাৰত ফুৰে, তেওঁ ক’লৈ যায় সেই বিষয়ে নাজানে।
36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spoke Jesus, and departed, and concealed himself from them.
৩৬যেতিয়ালৈ পোহৰ আছে, তেতিয়ালৈকে পোহৰৰ ওপৰত বিশ্বাস ৰাখা; যাতে তোমালোক পোহৰৰ সন্তান হোৱা।” যীচুৱে এই সকলো কথা কৈ তেওঁলোকৰ ওচৰৰ পৰা গৈ নিজক লুকুৱালে।
37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
৩৭সেই কথা সিদ্ধ হ’বলৈ, তেওঁ তেওঁলোকৰ আগত বহুত আচৰিত কৰ্ম কৰিলে, কিন্তু তেওঁলোকে তেওঁত বিশ্বাস নকৰিলে;
38 That the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
৩৮যাতে যিচয়া ভাববাদীৰ সেই কথাষাৰ যেন সম্পূর্ণ হয়, কিয়নো তেওঁ কৈছিল, “হে প্ৰভু, আমি কোৱা সংবাদ কোনে বিশ্বাস কৰিলে? আৰু প্ৰভুৰ বাহুবল কাৰ আগত প্ৰকাশিত হ’ব?”
39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Isaiah said again,
৩৯কাৰণ এই বিষয়ে তেওঁলোকে বিশ্বাস নকৰিলে, যিচয়াই আকৌ তেওঁলোকক কৈছিল,
40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with [their] eyes, nor understand with [their] heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
৪০“তেওঁ তেওঁলোকৰ চকু অন্ধ কৰিলে আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ অন্তৰ কঠোৰ কৰিলে, নহ’লে তেওঁলোকে নিজ চকুৰে দেখিলেহেঁতেন আৰু হৃদয়েৰে নিজকে বুজিলেহেঁতেন আৰু ঘুৰিলেহেঁতেন আৰু মই তেওঁলোকক সুস্থ কৰিলোঁহেতেন।”
41 These things said Isaiah, when he saw his glory, and spoke of him.
৪১এইদৰে যিচয়াই এই বিষয়ে ক’লে, কাৰণ যীচুৰ গৌৰৱ তেওঁ দেখিছিল আৰু সেয়েহে তেওঁ কৈছিল।
42 Nevertheless, among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess [him], lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
৪২তথাপি শাসনকৰ্তা সকলৰ মাজৰ অনেকে যীচুত বিশ্বাস কৰিলে; কিন্তু তেওঁলোকক নাম-ঘৰৰ পৰা নিষিদ্ধ কৰাৰ ভয়তে ফৰীচী সকলৰ কাৰণে তেওঁলোকে স্বীকাৰ নকৰিলে;
43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
৪৩কিয়নো তেওঁলোকে ঈশ্বৰৰ পৰা পোৱা প্ৰশংসা তকৈ মানুহৰ পৰা পোৱা প্ৰশংসাক বেছি প্ৰেম কৰিছিল।
44 Jesus cried, and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me:
৪৪যীচুৱে অতি উচ্চস্বৰে ক’লে, “যি কোনোৱে মোক বিশ্বাস কৰে, তেওঁ মোক নহয়, কিন্তু মোক পঠাৱা জনকহে বিশ্বাস কৰে।
45 And he that seeth me, seeth him that sent me:
৪৫আৰু যি কোনোৱে মোক দেখে, তেওঁ মোক পঠোৱা জনকেই দেখে।
46 I am come a light into the world, that whoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
৪৬মই এই জগতলৈ পোহৰ হৈ আহিছোঁ, গতিকে যি কোনোৱে মোক বিশ্বাস কৰে, তেওঁ যেন আন্ধাৰত নাথাকে।
47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
৪৭কোনোৱে মোৰ কথা শুনিও যদি পালন নকৰে, তথাপি মই তেওঁৰ সোধ-বিচাৰ নকৰোঁ; কিয়নো মই জগতৰ সোধ-বিচাৰ কৰিবলৈ অহা নাই; কিন্তু জগতৰ পৰিত্ৰাণ কৰিবলৈহে আহিলোঁ।
48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
৪৮যি কোনোৱে মোক অগ্ৰাহ্য কৰে, আৰু মোৰ কথাও গ্ৰহণ নকৰে, তেওঁৰ সোধ-বিচাৰ কৰোঁতা এজন আছে, আৰু মই যি বার্তা দিছোঁ শেষৰ দিনা সেই বার্তাই তেওঁৰ সোধ-বিচাৰ কৰিব।
49 For I have not spoken from myself; but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
৪৯কিয়নো মই নিজৰ পৰা এই কথা কোৱা নাই; কিন্তু মোক পঠোৱা পিতৃয়ে মই কি কব লাগে, আৰু কেনেদৰে কব লাগিব, এই বিষয়ে মোক আজ্ঞা কৰিলে।
