Job 41
1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with a hook? or his tongue with a cord [which] thou lettest down?
௧“லிவியாதானை தூண்டிலைக்கொண்டு பிடிக்கமுடியுமோ? அதின் நாக்கை நீ விடுகிற கயிற்றினாலே பிடிக்கமுடியுமோ?
2 Canst thou put a hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?
௨அதின் மூக்கை நார்க்கயிறு போட்டுக் கட்டமுடியுமோ? குறட்டினால் அதின் தாடையை உருவக் குத்தமுடியுமோ?
3 Will he make many supplications to thee? will he speak soft [words] to thee?
௩அது உன்னைப் பார்த்து அநேக விண்ணப்பம் செய்யுமோ? உன்னை நோக்கி ஆசைவார்த்தைகளைச் சொல்லுமோ?
4 Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?
௪அது உன்னுடன் உடன்படிக்கை செய்யுமோ? அதை எல்லா நாட்களும் அடிமைப்படுத்துவாயோ?
5 Wilt thou play with him as [with] a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?
௫ஒரு குருவியுடன் விளையாடுகிறதுபோல், நீ அதனுடன் விளையாடி, அதை நீ உன் பெண்களுக்கு அருகில் கட்டிவைப்பாயோ?
6 Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants.
௬மீனவர்கள் அதைப் பிடிக்க முயற்சி செய்து, அதை வியாபாரிகளுக்குப் பங்கிடுவார்களோ?
7 Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears?
௭நீ அதின் தோலை அநேக அம்புகளினாலும், அதின் தலையை எறிவல்லையங்களினாலும் எறிவாயோ?
8 Lay thy hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.
௮அதின்மேல் உன் கையைப்போடு, யுத்தத்தை நினைத்துக்கொள்; இனி அப்படிச் செய்யத் துணியமாட்டாய்.
9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not [one] be cast down even at the sight of him?
௯இதோ, அதைப் பிடிக்கலாம் என்று நம்பினவன் மோசம்போய், அதைப் பார்த்தவுடனே விழுவான் அல்லவோ?
10 None [is so] fierce that he dare rouse him: who then is able to stand before me?
௧0அதை எழுப்பக்கூடிய தைரியவான் இல்லாதிருக்க, எனக்கு முன்பாக நிற்பவன் யார்?
11 Who hath first benefited me, that I should repay [him]? [whatever is] under the whole heaven is mine.
௧௧தனக்குப் பதில்கொடுக்கப்படும்படி, முந்தி எனக்குக் கொடுத்தவன் யார்? வானத்தின் கீழுள்ளவைகள் எல்லாம் என்னுடையவைகள்.
12 I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.
௧௨அதின் உறுப்புகளும், அதின் வீரியமும், அதின் உடல் இசைவின் அழகும் இன்னதென்று நான் சொல்லாமல் மறைக்கமாட்டேன்.
13 Who can discover the face of his garment? [or] who can come [to him] with his double bridle?
௧௩அது மூடியிருக்கிற அதின் போர்வையைக் எடுக்கக்கூடியவன் யார்? அதின் இரண்டு தாடைகளின் நடுவே கடிவாளம் போடத்தக்கவன் யார்?
14 Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth [are] terrible around.
௧௪அதின் முகத்தின் கதவைத் திறக்கக்கூடியவன் யார்? சுற்றிலுமிருக்கிற அதின் பற்கள் பயங்கரமானவைகள்.
15 [His] scales [are his] pride, shut together [as with] a close seal.
௧௫முத்திரைப் பதிப்புபோல அழுத்தங்கொண்டு அடர்த்தியாயிருக்கிற அதின் கேடகங்களின் அமைப்பு மகா சிறப்பாயிருக்கிறது.
16 One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
௧௬அவைகள் நடுவே காற்றும் நுழையமுடியாமல் நெருக்கமாக அவைகள் ஒன்றோடொன்று இணைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
17 They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.
௧௭அவைகள் ஒன்றோடொன்று ஒட்டிக்கொண்டு இணைபிரியாமல் பிடித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது.
18 His sneezings flash light, and his eyes [are] like the eyelids of the morning.
௧௮அது தும்மும்போது ஒளி வீசும், அதின் கண்கள் சூரியஉதயத்தின் புருவங்களைப்போல இருக்கிறது.
19 Out of his mouth go burning lamps, [and] sparks of fire dart forth.
௧௯அதின் வாயிலிருந்து எரிகிற பந்தங்கள் புறப்பட்டு, நெருப்புப்பொறிகள் பறக்கும்.
20 Out of his nostrils issueth smoke, as [out] of a seething pot or caldron.
௨0கொதிக்கிற சட்டியிலும் கொப்பரையிலும் இருந்து புறப்படுகிறதுபோல, அதின் மூக்கிலிருந்து புகை புறப்படும்.
21 His breath kindleth coals, and a flame issueth from his mouth.
௨௧அதின் சுவாசம் கரிகளைக் கொளுத்தும், அதின் வாயிலிருந்து தணல் புறப்படும்.
22 In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.
௨௨அதின் கழுத்திலே பெலன் குடிகொண்டிருக்கும்; பயங்கரம் அதற்குமுன் நடனமாடும்.
23 The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved.
௨௩அதின் உடல் அடுக்குகள், அசையாத கெட்டியாக ஒன்றோடொன்று ஒட்டிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்.
24 His heart is as firm as a stone; yes, as hard as a piece of the nether [millstone].
௨௪அதின் நெஞ்சு கல்லைப்போலவும், எந்திரத்தின் அடிக்கல்லைப்போலவும் கெட்டியாயிருக்கும்.
25 When he raiseth himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves.
௨௫அது எழும்பும்போது பலசாலிகள் பயத்தினால் மயங்கித் திகைப்பார்கள்.
26 The sword of him that attacketh him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.
௨௬அதைத் தாக்குகிறவனுடைய பட்டயம், ஈட்டி, வல்லையம், கவசம், ஒன்றும் அதற்குமுன் நிற்காது.
27 He esteemeth iron as straw, [and] brass as rotten wood.
௨௭அது இரும்பை வைக்கோலாகவும், வெண்கலத்தை உளுத்த மரமாகவும் நினைக்கும்.
28 The arrow cannot make him flee: sling-stones are turned with him into stubble.
௨௮அம்பு அதைத் துரத்தாது; கவண்கற்கள் அதற்குத் துரும்பாகும்.
29 Darts are counted as stubble: he laugheth at the shaking of a spear.
௨௯அது பெருந்தடிகளை வைக்கோல்களாக எண்ணி, ஈட்டியின் அசைவை இகழும்.
30 Sharp stones [are] under him: he spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire.
௩0அதின் கீழாகக் கூர்மையான கற்கள் கிடந்தாலும், அது சேற்றின்மேல் ஓடுகிறதுபோல கூர்மையான அவைகளின்மேலும் ஓடும்.
31 He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment.
௩௧அது ஆழத்தை உலைப்பானையைப்போல் பொங்கச்செய்து, கடலைத் தைலம்போலக் கலக்கிவிடும்.
32 He maketh a path to shine after him; [one] would think the deep [to be] hoary.
௩௨அது தனக்குப் பின்னாகப் பாதையை மின்னச்செய்யும்; ஆழமானது வெளுப்பான நரையைப்போல் தோன்றும்.
33 Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.
௩௩பூமியின்மேல் அதற்கு ஒப்பானது ஒன்றுமில்லை; அது பயப்படும்விதமாக உண்டாக்கப்பட்டது.
34 He beholdeth all high [things]: he [is] a king over all the children of pride.
௩௪அது மேட்டிமையானதையெல்லாம் அற்பமாக நினைக்கிறது; அது அகங்காரமுள்ள உயிரினங்களுக்கெல்லாம் ராஜாவாக இருக்கிறது” என்றார்.
