Job 38
1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
അതിനുശേഷം യഹോവ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിൽനിന്ന് ഇയ്യോബിനോട് ഇപ്രകാരം ഉത്തരമരുളി:
2 Who [is] this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
“പരിജ്ഞാനമില്ലാത്ത വാക്കുകളാൽ ആലോചനയെ ഇരുട്ടാക്കിത്തീർക്കുന്ന ഇവനാര്?
3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
പുരുഷനെപ്പോലെ അര മുറുക്കുക; ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും, നീ എനിക്ക് ഉത്തരം നൽകണം.
4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
“ഞാൻ ഭൂമിക്ക് അടിസ്ഥാനമിട്ടപ്പോൾ നീ എവിടെയായിരുന്നു? നിനക്കു വിവേകമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ പറയുക.
5 Who hath laid the measures of it, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
അതിന്റെ അളവുകൾ നിർണയിച്ചതാര്? നിശ്ചയമായും നിനക്കതറിയാം! അഥവാ, അതിനു കുറുകെ അളവുനൂൽ പിടിച്ചതാരാണ്?
6 Upon what are the foundations of it fastened? or who laid its corner stone;
ഉദയനക്ഷത്രങ്ങൾ ഒത്തുചേർന്നു ഗീതങ്ങൾ ആലപിക്കുകയും ദൈവപുത്രന്മാരെല്ലാം ആനന്ദത്താൽ ആർത്തുവിളിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ, അതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ എവിടെയാണ് സ്ഥാപിച്ചത്? അതിന്റെ ആണിക്കല്ല് സ്ഥാപിച്ചത് ആരാണ്?
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
8 Or [who] shut up the sea with doors, when it broke forth, [as if] it had issued out of the womb?
“ഭൂഗർഭത്തിൽനിന്നു സമുദ്രം പൊട്ടിപ്പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ കതകുകൾ ചേർത്തടച്ച് അതിനെ പിന്നിലൊതുക്കിയത് ആരാണ്?
9 When I made a cloud its garment, and thick darkness a swaddling band for it,
ഞാൻ മേഘത്തെ അതിന്റെ വസ്ത്രമാക്കി ഘോരാന്ധകാരത്താൽ അതിനെ മൂടിപ്പൊതിയുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ,
10 And broke up for it my decreed [place], and set bars and doors,
ഞാൻ അതിന് അതിരുകൾ നിശ്ചയിച്ച്; കതകുകളും ഓടാമ്പലുകളും സ്ഥാപിച്ചപ്പോൾ,
11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed.
‘നിനക്ക് ഇവിടെവരെ വരാം; ഇതിനപ്പുറം പാടില്ല; അഹന്തനിറഞ്ഞ തിരമാലകൾ ഇവിടെയാണ് നിൽക്കേണ്ടത് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ,’
12 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; [and] caused the day-spring to know its place;
ഭൂമിയുടെ അതിരുകളെ പിടിച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നതിനും ദുഷ്ടരെ അതിൽനിന്ന് കുടഞ്ഞുകളയുന്നതിനുംവേണ്ടി നീ പ്രഭാതത്തിന് എപ്പോഴെങ്കിലും ഉത്തരവുകൾ നൽകിയിട്ടുണ്ടോ? അരുണോദയത്തിന് അതിന്റെ സ്ഥാനം നിയമിച്ചുകൊടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ടോ?
13 That it might take hold of the ends of earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?
14 It is turned as clay [to] the seal; and they stand as a garment.
മുദ്രയ്ക്കുകീഴേയുള്ള കളിമണ്ണുപോലെ ഭൂമിക്ക് ആകൃതി കൈവരുന്നു; ഒരു വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റേത് എന്നപോലെ അതിലെ സവിശേഷതകൾ സ്പഷ്ടമായി കാണപ്പെടുന്നു.
15 And from the wicked their light is withheld, and the high arm shall be broken.
ദുഷ്ടർക്ക് വെളിച്ചം നിഷേധിക്കപ്പെട്ടു, അവരുടെ ഉയർത്തപ്പെട്ട ഭുജം തകർക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
16 Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?
“സമുദ്രത്തിന്റെ ഉറവുകളിലേക്കു നീ യാത്രചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടോ? ആഴിയുടെ അഗാധതലങ്ങളിൽ നീ നടന്നിട്ടുണ്ടോ?
17 Have the gates of death been opened to thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shades of death?
മരണത്തിന്റെ കവാടങ്ങൾ നിനക്കു വെളിപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ? കൂരിരുട്ടിന്റെ കവാടങ്ങൾ നീ ദർശിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ?
18 Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.
ഭൂമിയുടെ വിശാലത നീ ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ? ഇവയെല്ലാം നിനക്കറിയാമെങ്കിൽ, എന്നോടു പറയുക.
19 Where [is] the way [where] light dwelleth? and [as for] darkness, where [is] its place,
“പ്രകാശത്തിന്റെ വസതിയിലേക്കുള്ള പാത എവിടെ? ഇരുളിന്റെ പാർപ്പിടവും എവിടെ?
20 That thou shouldest take it to its bound, and that thou shouldest know the paths [to] its house?
അതിനെ അതിന്റെ അതിരിനകത്തേക്കു നയിക്കാൻ നിനക്കു കഴിയുമോ? അതിന്റെ ആവാസകേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലേക്കുള്ള പാത നിനക്ക് അറിയാമോ?
21 Knowest thou [it], because thou wast then born? or [because] the number of thy days [is] great?
നിശ്ചയമായും നിനക്കറിയാം, നീ അന്നേ ഭൂജാതനായിരുന്നല്ലോ! നീ ദീർഘവർഷങ്ങൾ പിന്നിടുകയും ചെയ്തല്ലോ!
22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
“ഹിമത്തിന്റെ ഭണ്ഡാരപ്പുരകളിൽ നീ കടന്നിട്ടുണ്ടോ? അഥവാ, കന്മഴയുടെ സംഭരണശാലകൾ നീ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ?
23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
ദുരന്തകാലത്തേക്കും യുദ്ധവും സൈനികനീക്കവുമുള്ള സമയത്തേക്കും ഞാൻ അവയെ കരുതിവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
24 By what way is the light parted, [which] scattereth the east wind upon the earth?
വെളിച്ചം വിഭജിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന വഴി ഏതാണ്? കിഴക്കൻകാറ്റു ഭൂമിയിൽ വ്യാപിക്കുന്നതും ഏതു വഴിയിലൂടെയാണ്?
25 Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
നിർജനദേശത്തും ആൾപ്പാർപ്പില്ലാത്ത മരുഭൂമിയിലും മഴ പെയ്യിക്കാനും തരിശും ശൂന്യവുമായ സ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ ദാഹം തീർക്കാനും പുല്ലിൽ പുതുമുകുളങ്ങൾ മുളപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും ആരാണ് പേമാരിക്ക് ഒരു ചാലും ഇടിമിന്നലിന് ഒരു മാർഗവും വെട്ടിക്കൊടുത്തത്?
26 To cause it to rain on the earth, [where] no man [is]; [on] the wilderness in which [there is] no man;
27 To satisfy the desolate and waste [ground]; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
28 Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of the dew?
മഴയ്ക്ക് ഒരു പിതാവുണ്ടോ? മഞ്ഞുതുള്ളികളെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചതാര്?
29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
ആരുടെ ഗർഭത്തിൽനിന്നാണ് ഹിമം പുറത്തുവന്നത്? ആകാശത്തിലെ മൂടൽമഞ്ഞിന് ജന്മമേകുന്നത് ആരാണ്?
30 The waters are hid as [with] a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
വെള്ളം ശിലപോലെ കട്ടിയാകുന്നതെപ്പോൾ, ആഴിയുടെ ഉപരിതലം ഉറഞ്ഞ് കട്ടിയായിത്തീരുന്നതും എപ്പോൾ?
31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
“കാർത്തികനക്ഷത്രവ്യൂഹത്തിന്റെ ചങ്ങലകൾ നിനക്കു ബന്ധിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ? മകയിരത്തിന്റെ കെട്ടുകൾ നിനക്ക് അഴിക്കാമോ?
32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in its season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with its sons?
നിനക്ക് നക്ഷത്രവ്യൂഹത്തെ നിശ്ചിതസമയത്തു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കാമോ? സപ്തർഷികളെയും അവയുടെ ഉപഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും നയിക്കാമോ?
33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set its dominion on the earth?
ആകാശമണ്ഡലത്തിന്റെ നിയമങ്ങൾ നീ അറിയുന്നുണ്ടോ? ഭൂമിയുടെമേൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അധികാരസീമ നിനക്കു നിർണയിക്കാൻ കഴിയുമോ?
34 Canst thou lift thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?
“നിന്റെ സ്വരം മേഘമാലകൾക്കൊപ്പം ഉയർത്തി ജലപ്രവാഹത്താൽ നിന്നെ ആമഗ്നനാക്കാൻ ആജ്ഞാപിക്കാമോ?
35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say to thee, Here we [are]?
ഇടിമിന്നലുകളെ അവയുടെ പാതയിൽക്കൂടെ പറഞ്ഞയയ്ക്കുന്നത് നീയാണോ? ‘അടിയങ്ങൾ ഇതാ,’ എന്ന് അവ നിന്നോടു ബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നുണ്ടോ?
36 Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?
ഞാറപ്പക്ഷിക്കു ജ്ഞാനം നൽകുന്നത് ആര്? പൂവൻകോഴിക്കു വിവേകം നൽകുന്നത് ഏതൊരുവൻ?
37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
പൊടി കട്ടപിടിക്കുമ്പോഴും മൺകട്ടകൾ ഒന്നിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോഴും മേഘങ്ങളെ എണ്ണുന്നതിനുള്ള ജ്ഞാനം ആർക്കുണ്ട്? ആകാശത്തിലെ ജലസംഭരണികളെ ചരിക്കുന്നതിന് ആർക്കു കഴിയും?
38 When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
39 Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,
“സിംഹങ്ങൾ അവയുടെ ഗുഹകളിൽ പതുങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുമ്പോഴും അവ കുറ്റിക്കാട്ടിൽ പതിയിരിക്കുമ്പോഴും സിംഹിക്കുവേണ്ടി ഇരയെ വേട്ടയാടാൻ നിനക്കു കഴിയുമോ? സിംഹക്കുട്ടികളുടെ വിശപ്പു ശമിപ്പിക്കാൻ നീ പ്രാപ്തനോ?
40 When they couch in [their] dens, [and] abide in the covert to lie in wait?
41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry to God, they wander for want of food.
കാക്കക്കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ തീറ്റകിട്ടാതെ ദൈവത്തോടു നിലവിളിച്ച് ആഹാരത്തിനുവേണ്ടി പറന്നലയുമ്പോൾ, അതിന് ആഹാരം നൽകുന്നത് ആരാണ്?
