< Job 38 >
1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Apo Yehova anamuyankha Yobu mʼkamvuluvulu. Ndipo anati:
2 Who [is] this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
“Kodi uyu ndani amene akusokoneza uphungu wanga poyankhula mawu opanda nzeru?
3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.
Onetsa chamuna; ndikufunsa ndipo undiyankhe.
4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
“Kodi unali kuti pamene ndinkayika maziko a dziko lapansi? Ndiwuze ngati ukudziwa.
5 Who hath laid the measures of it, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
Ndani amene analemba malire ake? Ndithudi iwe ukudziwa! Ndani amene anayeza ndi chingwe dzikoli?
6 Upon what are the foundations of it fastened? or who laid its corner stone;
Kodi maziko ake anawakumba potani, kapena ndani anayika mwala wake wapangodya,
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
pamene nyenyezi za kummawa zinkayimba pamodzi ndipo angelo onse a Mulungu ankafuwula mokondwa?
8 Or [who] shut up the sea with doors, when it broke forth, [as if] it had issued out of the womb?
“Kodi ndani amene anatsekera nyanja pamene inkalengedwa, pamene inkachita ngati kutumphuka pansi pa dziko,
9 When I made a cloud its garment, and thick darkness a swaddling band for it,
pamene ndinasandutsa mitambo kukhala chovala chake ndi kuyikulunga mu mdima wandiweyani,
10 And broke up for it my decreed [place], and set bars and doors,
pamene ndinayilembera malire ake ndikuyikira zitseko ndi mipiringidzo yake.
11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed.
Pamene ndinati, ‘Ufike mpaka apa ndipo usapitirire apa ndiye pamene mafunde ako amphamvuwo azilekezera?’
12 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; [and] caused the day-spring to know its place;
“Kodi chibadwire chako unalamulapo dzuwa kuti lituluke mmawa, kapena kuti mʼbandakucha ukhalepo pa nthawi yake,
13 That it might take hold of the ends of earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?
kuti kuwalako kuwunikire dziko lonse lapansi ndi kuthamangitsa anthu oyipa?
14 It is turned as clay [to] the seal; and they stand as a garment.
Chifukwa cha kuwala kwa usana mapiri ndi zigwa zimaonekera bwino ngati zilembo za chidindo pa mtapo; zimaonekera bwino ngati makwinya a chovala.
15 And from the wicked their light is withheld, and the high arm shall be broken.
Kuwala kwa dzuwako sikuwafikira anthu oyipa, ndipo dzanja lawo silingathe kuchita kanthu.
16 Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?
“Kodi unayendapo pansi penipeni pa nyanja kapena pa magwero ake ozama?
17 Have the gates of death been opened to thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shades of death?
Kodi anakuonetsapo zipata za imfa? Kodi unaonako ku dziko la anthu akufa kumene kuli mdima wandiweyani?
18 Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.
Kodi kukula kwa dziko lapansi umakudziwa? Undiwuze ngati ukuzidziwa zonsezi.
19 Where [is] the way [where] light dwelleth? and [as for] darkness, where [is] its place,
“Kodi njira yopita kumene kumakhala kuwala ili kuti? Nanga mdima umakhala kuti?
20 That thou shouldest take it to its bound, and that thou shouldest know the paths [to] its house?
Kodi iwe ungathe kuziperekeza kwawoko zimenezi? Kodi ukuyidziwa njira yopita kwawoko?
21 Knowest thou [it], because thou wast then born? or [because] the number of thy days [is] great?
Ndithu, iwe ukuyidziwa, poti paja nthawi imeneyo nʼkuti utabadwa kale! Wakhala ndi moyo zaka zambiridi!
22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
“Kodi unalowamo mʼnyumba zosungira chisanu chowundana kapena unayionapo nyumba yosungira matalala,
23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
zimene ndazisungira nthawi ya mavuto ndi nthawi yomenyana ndi ya nkhondo?
24 By what way is the light parted, [which] scattereth the east wind upon the earth?
Kodi umadziwa njira ya kumene kumachokera chingʼaningʼani kapena njira ya kumene kumachokera mphepo ya kummawa imene ili pa dziko lonse lapansi?
25 Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;
Kodi ndani amene amakonza ngalande za mvula, nanga ndani anakonza njira yoyendamo mphenzi,
26 To cause it to rain on the earth, [where] no man [is]; [on] the wilderness in which [there is] no man;
kuthirira madzi dziko limene sikukhala munthu, chipululu chopandamo munthu,
27 To satisfy the desolate and waste [ground]; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?
kukhutitsa nthaka yowuma yagwaa ndi kumeretsamo udzu?
28 Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of the dew?
Kodi mvula ili ndi abambo ake? Nanga madzi a mame anawabereka ndani?
29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
Kodi madzi owundana anawabereka ndani? Ndani amene anabereka chisanu chochokera kumwamba
30 The waters are hid as [with] a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.
pamene madzi amawuma gwaa ngati mwala, pamene madzi a pa nyanja amazizira, nalimba kuti gwaa?
31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
“Kodi iwe ungayimitse kuyenda kwa nyenyezi? Kodi ungathe kuletsa kuyenda kwa nsangwe ndi akamwiniatsatana?
32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in its season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with its sons?
Kodi ungathe kuwongolera nyenyezi pa nyengo yake kapena kutsogolera nyenyezi yayikulu ya chimbalangondo pamodzi ndi ana ake?
33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set its dominion on the earth?
Kodi malamulo a mlengalenga umawadziwa? Kodi ungathe kukhazikitsa ulamuliro wa Mulungu pa dziko lapansi?
34 Canst thou lift thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?
“Kodi iwe ungathe kulamula mitambo kuti igwetse mvula ya chigumula?
35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say to thee, Here we [are]?
Kodi ungathe kutumiza zingʼaningʼani kuti zingʼanime? Kodi zimabwera pamaso pako ndi kuti, ‘Tili pano?’
36 Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?
Kodi ndani anayika nzeru mu mtima, ndani analonga mʼmaganizo nzeru zomvetsa zinthu?
37 Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,
Wanzeru ndani amene angathe kuwerenga mitambo? Ndani angathe kupendeketsa mitsuko ya madzi akuthambo
38 When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?
pamene fumbi limasanduka matope, ndipo matopewo amawumbika?
39 Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,
“Kodi ndani amawusakira chakudya mkango waukazi ndi kukhutitsa misona ya mikango
40 When they couch in [their] dens, [and] abide in the covert to lie in wait?
pamene ili khale mʼmapanga mwawo kapena pamene ikubisala pa tchire?
41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry to God, they wander for want of food.
Kodi amamupatsa khwangwala chakudya chake ndani pamene ana ake akulirira kwa Mulungu ndi kumayendayenda chifukwa chosowa zakudya?
