Job 36

1 Elihu also proceeded, and said,

۱ و الیهو باز‌گفت:

2 Suffer me a little, and I will show thee that [I have] yet to speak on God's behalf.

۲ «برای من‌اندکی صبرکن تا تو را اعلام نمایم، زیرا از برای خدا هنوز سخنی باقی است.

3 I will bring my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

۳ علم خود را از دورخواهم آورد و به خالق خویش، عدالت راتوصیف خواهم نمود.

4 For truly my words [shall] not [be] false: he that is perfect in knowledge [is] with thee.

۴ چونکه حقیقت کلام من دروغ نیست، و آنکه در علم کامل است نزد توحاضر است.

5 Behold, God [is] mighty, and despiseth not [any]: [he is] mighty in strength [and] wisdom.

۵ اینک خدا قدیر است و کسی رااهانت نمی کند و در قوت عقل قادر است.

6 He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor.

۶ شریررا زنده نگاه نمی دارد و داد مسکینان را می‌دهد.

7 He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings [are they] on the throne; yes, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.

۷ چشمان خود را از عادلان برنمی گرداند، بلکه ایشان را با پادشاهان بر کرسی تا به ابد می‌نشاند، پس سرافراشته می‌شوند.

8 And if [they are] bound in fetters, [and] are held in cords of affliction;

۸ اما هرگاه به زنجیرهابسته شوند، و به بندهای مصیبت گرفتار گردند،

9 Then he showeth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.

۹ آنگاه اعمال ایشان را به ایشان می‌نمایاند وتقصیرهای ایشان را از اینکه تکبر نموده‌اند،

10 He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.

۱۰ وگوشهای ایشان را برای تادیب باز می‌کند، و امرمی فرماید تا از گناه بازگشت نمایند.

11 If they obey and serve [him], they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

۱۱ پس اگربشنوند و او را عبادت نمایند، ایام خویش را درسعادت بسر خواهند برد، و سالهای خود را درشادمانی.

12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.

۱۲ و اما اگر نشنوند از تیغ خواهند افتاد، و بدون معرفت، جان را خواهند سپرد.

13 But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.

۱۳ اماآنانی که در دل، فاجرند غضب را ذخیره می‌نمایند، و چون ایشان را می‌بندد استغاثه نمی نمایند.

14 They die in youth, and their life [is] among the unclean.

۱۴ ایشان در عنفوان جوانی می‌میرندو حیات ایشان با فاسقان (تلف می‌شود).

15 He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.

۱۵ مصیبت کشان را به مصیبت ایشان نجات می‌بخشد و گوش ایشان را در تنگی باز می‌کند.

16 Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait [into] a broad place, where [there is] no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table [would be] full of fatness.

۱۶ «پس تو را نیز از دهان مصیبت بیرون می‌آورد، در مکان وسیع که در آن تنگی نمی بود وزاد سفره تو از فربهی مملو می‌شد،

17 But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold [on thee].

۱۷ و تو ازداوری شریر پر هستی، لیکن داوری و انصاف باهم ملتصقند.

18 Because [there is] wrath, [beware] lest he take thee away with [his] stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.

۱۸ باحذر باش مبادا خشم تو را به تعدی ببرد، و زیادتی کفاره تو را منحرف سازد.

19 Will he esteem thy riches? [no], not gold, nor all the forces of strength.

۱۹ آیا او دولت تو را به حساب خواهد آورد؟ نی، نه طلا و نه تمامی قوای توانگری را.

20 Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.

۲۰ برای شب آرزومند مباش، که امت‌ها را از جای ایشان می‌برد.

21 Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.

۲۱ با حذر باش که به گناه مایل نشوی، زیرا که تو آن را بر مصیبت ترجیح داده‌ای.

22 Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?

۲۲ اینک خدا در قوت خود متعال می‌باشد. کیست که مثل او تعلیم بدهد؟

23 Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?

۲۳ کیست که طریق او را به او تفویض کرده باشد؟ و کیست که بگویدتو بی‌انصافی نموده‌ای؟

24 Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.

۲۴ به یاد داشته باش که اعمال او را تکبیر گویی که درباره آنها مردمان می‌سرایند.

25 Every man may see it; man may behold [it] afar off.

۲۵ جمیع آدمیان به آنها می‌نگرند. مردمان آنها را از دور مشاهده می‌نمایند.

26 Behold, God [is] great, and we know [him] not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.

۲۶ اینک خدا متعال است و او را نمی شناسیم. و شماره سالهای او را تفحص نتوان کرد.

27 For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapor of it.

۲۷ زیرا که قطره های آب را جذب می‌کند و آنها باران را ازبخارات آن می‌چکاند.

28 Which the clouds do drop [and] distill upon man abundantly.

۲۸ که ابرها آن را به شدت می‌ریزد و بر انسان به فراوانی می‌تراود.

29 Also can [any] understand the spreadings of the clouds, [or] the noise of his tabernacle?

۲۹ آیاکیست که بفهمد ابرها چگونه پهن می‌شوند، یارعدهای خیمه او را بداند؟

30 Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.

۳۰ اینک نور خود رابر آن می‌گستراند. و عمق های دریا را می‌پوشاند.

31 For by them he judgeth the people; he giveth food in abundance.

۳۱ زیرا که به واسطه آنها قوم‌ها را داوری می‌کند، و رزق را به فراوانی می‌بخشد.

32 With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it [not to shine] by [the] intervening [cloud].

۳۲ دستهای خودرا با برق می‌پوشاند، و آن را بر هدف مامورمی سازد.

33 The noise of it showeth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapor.

۳۳ رعدش از او خبر می‌دهد و مواشی از برآمدن او اطلاع می‌دهند.
