< Job 36 >

1 Elihu also proceeded, and said,
Elihu yi edzi be,
2 Suffer me a little, and I will show thee that [I have] yet to speak on God's behalf.
“Kpɔ nye asinu vie eye maɖee afia wò be nya geɖewo li magblɔ ɖe Mawu nu.
3 I will bring my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
Mexɔa nye gɔmesese tso afi aɖeke ɖaa, eya ta matso na nye Wɔla.
4 For truly my words [shall] not [be] false: he that is perfect in knowledge [is] with thee.
Kakaɖedzi nenɔ asiwò be, nye nyawo menye aʋatso o eya ta ame si si gɔmesese deto le lae le gbɔwò.
5 Behold, God [is] mighty, and despiseth not [any]: [he is] mighty in strength [and] wisdom.
“Mawu nye Ŋusẽtɔ, etri akɔ eye meʋãna le eƒe taɖodzinu me o gake medoa vlo amewo o.
6 He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor.
Menana ame vɔ̃ɖiwo nɔa agbe o, ke boŋ ekpɔa hiãtɔwo ƒe hiahiãwo gbɔ na wo.
7 He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings [are they] on the throne; yes, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.
Meɖea eƒe ŋku ɖa le ame dzɔdzɔewo ŋu o, eɖoa wo zi dzi ɖe fiawo xa eye wòdoa wo ɖe dzi tegbetegbe.
8 And if [they are] bound in fetters, [and] are held in cords of affliction;
9 Then he showeth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.
egblɔa nu si wowɔ la na wo, esi nye be wowɔ nu vɔ̃ dadatɔe.
10 He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.
Enana woɖoa to ɖɔɖɔɖo eye wòɖea gbe na wo be woatrɔ le woƒe nu vɔ̃ɖi la me.
11 If they obey and serve [him], they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.
Ke ne womeɖo to o la, yi atsrɔ̃ wo eye woaku numanyamanyae.
13 But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.
“Fuléle le dzi me na Mawumavɔ̃lawo, ne ede kunyowu woƒe afɔwo hã la, womedoa ɣli be woaxɔ na yewo o.
14 They die in youth, and their life [is] among the unclean.
15 He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.
16 Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait [into] a broad place, where [there is] no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table [would be] full of fatness.
“Ele nuwò blem be nàdo go tso xaxa ƒe glã me, ava teƒe keke, ahavo tso dzizizi me eye nànɔ wò kplɔ̃ si dzi nuɖuɖu damiwo le fũu la ŋu le dziɖeɖi me.
17 But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold [on thee].
Ke azɔ la, wotsɔ ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃ si dze na ame vɔ̃ɖiwo la do agbae na wò, ale nège ɖe afiatsotso kple tohehe ƒe asi me.
18 Because [there is] wrath, [beware] lest he take thee away with [his] stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.
19 Will he esteem thy riches? [no], not gold, nor all the forces of strength.
Ɖe wò kesinɔnuwo alo wò kutrikuku veviwo katã alé wò ɖe asi be màɖo xaxa me oa?
20 Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.
Wò dzi megatsi dzi ɖe zã ƒe dodo ŋu ne nàhe amewo ado goe le woƒe aƒewo me o.
21 Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.
Kpɔ nyuie be mètrɔ ɖe nu vɔ̃ɖi, si nèdi wu hiã la ŋu o.
22 Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?
“Kpɔ ɖa, wodo Mawu ɖe dzi bobobo le eƒe ŋusẽ me. Ame kae nye nufiala abe eya ene?
23 Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?
Ame kae tia mɔ siwo wòato la nɛ alo gblɔ nɛ be, ‘Èwɔ nu gbegblẽ?’
24 Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.
Ɖo ŋku edzi, nàdo eƒe dɔwɔwɔwo ɖe dzi, siwo amewo kafuna le woƒe hadzidziwo me.
25 Every man may see it; man may behold [it] afar off.
Amegbetɔwo katã kpɔe eye agbagbeawo ɖea ŋku ɖee tso adzɔge.
26 Behold, God [is] great, and we know [him] not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.
Mawu lolo loo, ekɔ gbɔ míaƒe gɔmesese ta! Eƒe ƒewo ƒe gɔmedidi gbɔ míaƒe nudidi ƒe ŋutete ta.
27 For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapor of it.
“Ehea tsi si le gegem toŋtoŋtoŋ la ƒoa ƒu, si dzana abe tsi ene ɖe tɔʋuwo me,
28 Which the clouds do drop [and] distill upon man abundantly.
29 Also can [any] understand the spreadings of the clouds, [or] the noise of his tabernacle?
Ame kae ase ale si wòkeke lilikpowo, kple ale si wòɖea gbe tso eƒe agbadɔ me la gɔme?
30 Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.
Kpɔ ale si wòkaka eƒe dzikedzo ƒo xlã eɖokui eye wòblu atsiaƒu ƒe gogloƒewo ke hã ɖa.
31 For by them he judgeth the people; he giveth food in abundance.
Aleae wòkplɔa dukɔwoe eye wònaa nuɖuɖu wo le agbɔsɔsɔ me.
32 With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it [not to shine] by [the] intervening [cloud].
Etsɔa dzikedzo yɔa eƒe asiwo mee eye wòdɔnɛ be wòake dzo ɖe nu si wòɖoe na la dzi.
33 The noise of it showeth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapor.
Eƒe dziɖegbe ɖea gbeƒã ahom si gbɔna, nyiwo gɔ̃ hã ɖea gbeƒã, ne egbɔna.
