Job 29
1 Moreover, Job continued his parable, and said,
Tinoi’Iobe i lañona’ey, ami’ty hoe:
2 Oh that I were as [in] months past, as [in] the days [when] God preserved me;
Ee t’ie nanahake o volañeo, naho o andro narovan’ Añahare ahikoo;
3 When his candle shined upon my head, [and when] by his light I walked [through] darkness;
ie niiloilo ambone’ lohako eo ty failo’e, naho i hazavà’ey ty nirangako añ’ieñe ao;
4 As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God [was] upon my tabernacle;
ie tañ’andro naha añoñ’ay ahy, vaho tambone’ kibohoko eo ty firañetan’ Añahare;
5 When the Almighty [was] yet with me, [when] my children [were] about me;
ie mbe tamako t’i El-Sadai, naho niarikoboñ’ ahy o keleiakoo;
6 When I washed my steps with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers of oil;
ie nisasan-kendron-dronono o liakoo, vaho nadoandoa’ o vatoo amako ty menake!
7 When I went out to the gate through the city, [when] I prepared my seat in the street!
Ie niakatse mb’an-dalambein-drova mb’eo iraho, ie rinambeko antameañe eo i fitobohakoy.
8 The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged arose, [and] stood up.
Nisitak’ ahiko o ajalahio te zoeñe, songa niongake ty bey vaho nijohañe;
9 The princes refrained talking, and laid [their] hand on their mouth.
Nitroatse ami’ty fivesoveso’e o roandriañeo vaho nitàm-palie.
10 The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth.
Nianjiñe ty fiarañanaña’ o roandriañeo, le nipitek’ an-dañilañy o famele’eo.
11 When the ear heard [me], then it blessed me; and when the eye saw [me], it gave witness to me:
Ie jinanjin-dravembia, le natao’e haha iraho, ie niisam-pihaino, le nitalily ahy;
12 Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and [him that had] none to help him.
amy te rinombako ty rarake nikai-drombake, i bode-rae tsy amam-pañimbay.
13 The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.
Nivotrak’ amako ty tata’ i nipetrokey, vaho nampisaboeko an-kaehake ty arofo’ o vantotseo.
14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment [was] as a robe and a diadem.
Niombeako ty havantañañe, le nisalora’e; nanahake ty sabaka reke-tsarimbo ty havañonako.
15 I was eyes to the blind, and feet [was] I to the lame.
Ni-fihaino ami’ty fey iraho, naho fandia amo kepekeo.
16 I [was] a father to the poor: and the cause [which] I knew not I searched out.
Ni-rae’ o poie’eo, vaho nitsikaraheko ty nipaia’ i alik’amakoy.
17 And I broke the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth.
Pinekako ty famotsi’ o tsereheñeo naho tinavako amo nife’eo i nitsindrohe’ey.
18 Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply [my] days as the sand.
Le hoe ty fitsakoreako, t’ie hikenkañe añ’akibako ao, naho hampimiràko amo faseñeo ty androko;
19 My root [was] spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch.
mitsiriaria mb’an-drano o vahakoo vaho mialeñe amo tsampakoo ty zono.
20 My glory [was] fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand.
Vao amako nainai’e ty engeko, vaoeñe an-tañako ao ty faleko.
21 To me [men] gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.
Nijanjiñe naho nandiñe ahy ondatio, nianjiñe t’ie namereako.
22 After my words they spoke not again; and my speech dropped upon them.
Ie nilañon-draho, tsy nisaontsy iereo, nitsopatsopak’ am’iereo o entakoo.
23 And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide [as] for the latter rain.
Hoe orañe ty nandiñisa’ iareo ahiko; ie nipaña-palie hoe aman’ oram-panjaka.
24 [If] I laughed on them, they believed [it] not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down.
Nisomilahako t’ie tsy niantoke; le tsy nazè’ iereo ty filoeloean-tareheko.
25 I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one [that] comforteth the mourners.
Jinoboko ty lala hombà’ iareo vaho nitoboke hoe talè, nimoneñe hoe mpanjaka ami’ty borizà’e, manahake ty mpañohòm-pandala.
