< Job 27 >

1 Moreover, Job continued his parable, and said,
Hiob toaa nʼasɛm so sɛ,
2 [As] God liveth, [who] hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty [who] hath afflicted my soul;
“Sɛ Onyankopɔn te ase yi, ɔno a wammu me atɛntenenee, Otumfoɔ a wama madi me kra mu awerɛhoɔ;
3 All the while my breath [is] in me, and the spirit of God [is] in my nostrils;
mmerɛ dodoɔ a nkwa wɔ me mu, na Onyankopɔn homeɛ wɔ me mu yi,
4 My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.
mʼano renka amumuyɛsɛm, na me tɛkrɛma rentwa nkontompo.
5 Far be it from me that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove my integrity from me.
Merennye nto mu da sɛ deɛ woka no yɛ nokorɛ; merenka me mudie nhyɛ, kɔsi sɛ mɛwuo.
6 My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach [me] so long as I live.
Mɛkura me tenenee mu. Merennyaa mu; sɛ mete ase yi, me tiboa remmu me fɔ.
7 Let my enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.
“Ma mʼatamfoɔ nyɛ sɛ amumuyɛfoɔ, na wɔn a wɔkyiri me nyɛ sɛ atorofoɔ.
8 For what [is] the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?
Anidasoɔ bɛn na deɛ ɔnni nyamesu no wɔ wɔ ne wuo akyi, ɛberɛ a Onyankopɔn agye ne nkwa afiri ne nsam?
9 Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?
Onyankopɔn tie ne sufrɛ ɛberɛ a amanehunu aba ne so anaa?
10 Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?
Nʼani bɛgye wɔ Otumfoɔ mu? Ɔbɛsu afrɛ Onyankopɔn ɛberɛ biara anaa?
11 I will teach you by the hand of God: [that] which [is] with the Almighty will I not conceal.
“Mɛma mo Onyankopɔn tumi ho nkyerɛkyerɛ; meremfa Otumfoɔ no akwan nhinta.
12 Behold, all ye yourselves have seen [it]; why then are ye thus altogether vain?
Mo ankasa moahunu yeinom nyinaa. Afei nsɛnhunu yi ase ne sɛn?
13 This [is] the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, [which] they shall receive of the Almighty.
“Yei ne deɛ Onyankopɔn ahyɛ ato hɔ ama omumuyɛfoɔ, agyapadeɛ a otirimuɔdenfoɔ nya firi Otumfoɔ nkyɛn:
14 If his children are multiplied, [it is] for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.
Sɛ ɔwɔ mma dodoɔ sɛn ara, wɔn hyɛberɛ ne akofena; na nʼasefoɔ rennidi mmee da.
15 Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.
Ɔyaredɔm bɛsie wɔn a wɔbɛka wɔ nʼakyi, na wɔn akunafoɔ rensu wɔn.
16 Though he should heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay?
Ɛwom sɛ ɔhɔre dwetɛ te sɛ mfuturo na ɔboa ntoma ano sɛ dɔteɛ deɛ,
17 He may prepare [it], but the just shall put [it] on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.
nanso deɛ ɔpɛ gu hɔ no, ateneneefoɔ na wɔbɛfira na pɛpɛfoɔ no nso akyekyɛ dwetɛ no.
18 He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth [that] the keeper maketh.
Efie a ɔsi no te sɛ ananse afafa, ɛte sɛ pata bi a ɔwɛmfoɔ abɔ.
19 The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he [is] not.
Ɔda hɔ te sɛ ɔdefoɔ, nanso ɔrenna saa bio; ɔbɛte nʼani no na ne nyinaa atu ayera.
20 Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.
Ahunahuna ba ne so sɛ nsuyire; ahum hwim no kɔ anadwo.
21 The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.
Apueeɛ mframa soa no kɔ, na ɔnni hɔ bio; ɛtwe no firi ne teberɛ.
22 For [God] shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.
Ɛbɔ no a ahummɔborɔ nni mu ɛberɛ a ɔredwane afiri ne tumi ase.
23 [Men] shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
Ɔde fɛ bɔ ne nsam na ɔpamoo no firi ne teberɛ.”
