Job 22
1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
೧ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ತೇಮಾನ್ಯನಾದ ಎಲೀಫಜನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಹೀಗೆಂದನು,
2 Can a man be profitable to God, as he that is wise may be profitable to himself?
೨“ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಮಾತ್ರದವನಿಂದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಏನು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾದೀತು? ಒಬ್ಬನು ವಿವೇಕಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಷ್ಟೆ.
3 [Is it] any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or [is it] gain [to him], that thou makest thy ways perfect?
೩ನೀನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿರುವುದು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸುಖವೋ? ನಿನ್ನ ನಡತೆಯನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಆತನಿಗೇನು ಲಾಭ?
4 Will he reprove thee for fear of thee? will he enter with thee into judgment?
೪ನಿನ್ನ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಗಾಗಿಯೇ ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೋ?
5 [Is] not thy wickedness great? and thy iniquities infinite?
೫ನಿನ್ನ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನವು ಬಹಳವಲ್ಲವೇ? ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಿತಿಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ?
6 For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for naught, and stripped the naked of their clothing.
೬ನೋಡು, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಂದ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಒತ್ತೆಯಾಳುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಿ, ಬೆತ್ತಲೆಯವರ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನೂ ಸೆಳಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಿ.
7 Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and thou hast withheld bread from the hungry.
೭ಬಳಲಿದವನಿಗೆ ನೀರು ಕೊಡದೆ, ಹಸಿದವನಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನಕೊಡದೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಿ.
8 But [as for] the mighty man, he had the earth; and the honorable man dwelt in it.
೮ಬಲಿಷ್ಠನಾದರೆ ದೇಶವೇ ಅವನದು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಯೋಗ್ಯನಾಗಿ ವಾಸಿಸತಕ್ಕವನು ಅವನೇ.
9 Thou hast sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.
೯ನೀನು ವಿಧವೆಯರನ್ನು ಬರಿಗೈಯಾಗಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಅನಾಥರ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಮುರಿದಿದ್ದಿ.
10 Therefore snares [are] around thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;
೧೦ಆದಕಾರಣ ಬೋನುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲು ಕಾದಿವೆ, ಫಕ್ಕನೆ ಉಂಟಾದ ಭಯವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಲ್ಲಣಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
11 Or darkness, [that] thou canst not see; and abundance of waters cover thee.
೧೧ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದಾರಿಕಾಣದಂತೆ ಕತ್ತಲೂ, ಮುಸುಕಿ ಜಲಪ್ರವಾಹವೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆವರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
12 [Is] not God in the hight of heaven? and behold the hight of the stars, how high they are!
೧೨ದೇವರು ಉನ್ನತ ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಮಂಡಲದ ತುದಿಯು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಎತ್ತರ, ನೋಡು!
13 And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?
೧೩ನೀನಾದರೋ, ‘ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಏನು ಗೊತ್ತು? ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲಿನ ಆಚೆಯಿಂದ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಬಲ್ಲನೋ?
14 Thick clouds [are] a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.
೧೪ದಟ್ಟವಾದ ಮೋಡಗಳು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಪರದೆಯ ಹಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನೋಡಲಾರನು; ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆದಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡೆಯಲ್ಲವೇ.
15 Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?
೧೫ಕೆಟ್ಟವರು ಮೊದಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ, ನಡೆದ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ನೀನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವಿಯಾ?
16 Who were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflowed with a flood!
೧೬ಅಕಾಲ ಮರಣವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಪಹರಿಸಿತು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿದ್ದ ನೆಲವು ನೀರಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯಿತು.
17 Who said to God, depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them!
೧೭ಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು, ‘ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿ ಹೋಗು, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ನಮಗೇನು ಮಾಡಾನು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
18 Yet he filled their houses with good [things]: but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
೧೮ಆದರೂ ದೇವರು ಅವರ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿಸಿದನು. ದುಷ್ಟರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯು ನನಗೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರಲಿ!
19 The righteous see [it], and are glad: and the innocent deride them.
೧೯ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಹಿಗ್ಗುವರು, ನಮ್ಮ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದವರು ಹಾಳಾಗಿಯೇ ಹೋದರು.
20 Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.
೨೦‘ಅವರ ಉಳಿದ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ನಾಶಮಾಡಿತು’ ಎಂದು, ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಗಳು ದುಷ್ಟರನ್ನು ಅಣಕಿಸುವರು.
21 Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: by this good shall come to thee.
೨೧ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟು ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಹೊಂದು, ಇದರಿಂದ ನಿನಗೆ ಶುಭವಾಗುವುದು.
22 Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thy heart.
೨೨ಆತನ ಬಾಯಿಂದಲೇ ಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿ, ಆತನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೋ.
23 If thou shalt return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.
೨೩ನೀನು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು, ನಿನ್ನ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಿಂದ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ದೂರಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಉದ್ಧಾರವಾಗುವಿ.
24 Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the [gold] of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.
೨೪ನಿನ್ನ ಚಿನ್ನವನ್ನು ಧೂಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕು, ಓಫೀರ್ ದೇಶದ ಅಪರಂಜಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಳೆಗಳ ಬಂಡೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಎಸೆದುಬಿಡು.
25 Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defense and thou shalt have plenty of silver.
೨೫ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ನಿನಗೆ ಚಿನ್ನವಾಗಿಯೂ, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ರಾಶಿಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುವನು.
26 For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face to God.
೨೬ಆಗ ನೀನು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಪಟ್ಟು, ದೇವರ ಅಭಿಮುಖನಾಗಿರುವೆ.
27 Thou shalt make thy prayer to him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.
೨೭ನೀನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುವಿ, ಆತನು ಲಾಲಿಸುವನು, ಆತನಿಗೆ ಹರಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವಿ.
28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established to thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
೨೮ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ಸಂಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿಯೋ ಅದು ನಿನಗೆ ನೆರವೇರುವುದು, ಬೆಳಕು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುವುದು.
29 When [men] are cast down, then thou shalt say, [There is] exaltation; and he shall save the humble person.
೨೯ಜನರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೆಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬೀಳಿಸುವಾಗ, ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಎತ್ತಲ್ಪಡುವೆನು ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ, ಆಗ ದೀನದೃಷ್ಟಿಯುಳ್ಳ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆತನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವನು.
30 He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thy hands.
೩೦ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯನ್ನು ಆತನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವನು, ಹೌದು, ಆತನು ಇಂಥವನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧತೆಯೇ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿರುವುದು.”
