Job 17
1 My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves [are ready] for me.
౧నా ప్రాణం సొమ్మసిల్లిపోయింది. నేను బ్రతికే రోజులు ముగిసిపోయాయి. నాకోసం సమాధి సిద్ధంగా ఉంది.
2 [Are there] not mockers with me? and doth not my eye continue in their provocation?
౨ఎగతాళి చేసేవాళ్ళు నా చుట్టూ చేరారు. నా సమక్షంలోనే వాళ్ళు వివాదాలు రేకెత్తిస్తున్నారు.
3 Lay down now, put me in a surety with thee; who [is] he [that] will strike hands with me?
౩దేవా, దయచేసి నువ్వే నాకు పూచీకత్తు ఉంటానని మాట ఇవ్వు. నువ్వు కాక ఇంకెవరు నాకు జామీనుగా ఉంటారు.
4 For thou hast hid their heart from understanding: therefore shalt thou not exalt [them].
౪నువ్వు వాళ్ళ హృదయాలను మూసివేసి జ్ఞానహీనులుగా చేశావు. కనుక వాళ్ళు ఎలాంటి ఘనతా పొందరు.
5 He that speaketh flattery to [his] friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.
౫దోపిడీ సొమ్ము కోసం తన స్నేహితులను నిందించేవాడి పిల్లల కళ్ళు మసకబారతాయి.
6 He hath made me also a by-word of the people; and in former time I was as a tabret.
౬ఆయన నన్ను మనుషులందరికీ ఒక సామెతలాగా నిలబెట్టాడు. నలుగురూ నా ముఖం మీద ఉమ్మివేస్తారు.
7 My eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members [are] as a shade.
౭అధికమైన శోకం వల్ల నా కంటి చూపు మందగించింది. నా అవయవాలన్నీ నీడలాగా మారిపోయాయి.
8 Upright [men] shall be astonished at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the hypocrite.
౮యథార్థవంతులు దీన్ని చూసి ఆశ్చర్యపోతారు. నిజాయితీపరులు భక్తిహీనుల స్థితిని చూసి కలవరం చెందుతారు.
9 The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
౯అయితే నీతిమంతులు తమ మార్గాన్ని విడిచిపెట్టకుండా ముందుకు కొనసాగుతారు. నిరపరాధులు అంతకంతకూ వృద్ది చెందుతారు.
10 But as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for I cannot find [one] wise [man] among you.
౧౦అప్పుడు మీరంతా మరోసారి నా దగ్గరికి రండి, మీలో ఒక్క జ్ఞాని కూడా నాకు కనిపించడు.
11 My days are past, my purposes are broken off, [even] the thoughts of my heart.
౧౧నా రోజులు ముగిసిపోయాయి. నా తలంపులు వ్యర్ధమైపోయాయి. నా హృదయంలోని కోరికలు భగ్నం అయ్యాయి.
12 They change the night into day: the light [is] short because of darkness.
౧౨రాత్రి సమయాన్ని పగలు అనీ, చీకటి కమ్మినప్పుడు అది వెలుగు అనీ వాళ్ళు వాదిస్తారు.
౧౩నాకు ఆశ ఏదైనా ఉన్నట్టయితే అది మృత్యులోకం నాకు ఇల్లు కావాలని. చీకటిలో నా పడక సిద్ధం చేసుకోవాలని. (Sheol h7585)
14 I have said to corruption, Thou [art] my father: to the worm, [Thou art] my mother, and my sister.
౧౪గొయ్యిని చూసి ‘నువ్వే నాకు తండ్రివి’ అనీ, పురుగును చూసి ‘నువ్వే నాకు తల్లివి, చెల్లివి’ అనీ వాటితో చెప్పాలని ఉంది.
15 And where [is] now my hope? as for my hope, who will see it?
౧౫అలాంటప్పుడు నాకు నిరీక్షణకు ఆధారం ఏమిటి? దాన్ని ఎవరు కనుగొనగలరు?
