< Job 17 >
1 My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves [are ready] for me.
Chunya onyosore, ndalona ongʼad machiek, kendo thona ema chiegni koda.
2 [Are there] not mockers with me? and doth not my eye continue in their provocation?
Jogo ma nyiera olwora koni gi koni; kendo asiko mana kaneno gero ma gin-go koda.
3 Lay down now, put me in a surety with thee; who [is] he [that] will strike hands with me?
“Yaye Nyasaye, nyisa gima idwaro. En ngʼa machielo mabiro rita?
4 For thou hast hid their heart from understanding: therefore shalt thou not exalt [them].
Isedino pachgi mondo kik gifweny adiera; omiyo ok ibi yie mondo gibed joloch.
5 He that speaketh flattery to [his] friends, even the eyes of his children shall fail.
Ka ngʼato ondhogo osiepne mondo oyud mwandu to gima otimono nyaka dongʼ ewi nyithinde.
6 He hath made me also a by-word of the people; and in former time I was as a tabret.
“Nyasaye osemiyo abedo ngʼama ji duto goyo ngero kendo ma ka ji oneno to ngʼudho kuome olawo.
7 My eye also is dim by reason of sorrow, and all my members [are] as a shade.
Wengena koro ok nen maber nikech kuyo ma an-go; denda duto olokore choke lilo.
8 Upright [men] shall be astonished at this, and the innocent shall stir up himself against the hypocrite.
Joma paro ni gin joma kare kibaji omako; kendo joma paro ni ler wacho ni ok angʼeyo Nyasaye.
9 The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.
Kata kamano, joma kare nosik koluwo yoregi makare, kendo joma yoregi oriere nomed bedo motegno.
10 But as for you all, do ye return, and come now: for I cannot find [one] wise [man] among you.
“Un duto weyauru kendo dhiuru mabor nikech ok aneno ngʼama riek kuomu-ka.
11 My days are past, my purposes are broken off, [even] the thoughts of my heart.
Ndalona osekadho, chenrona duto osekethore, kaachiel gi gik moko duto ma chunya gombo.
12 They change the night into day: the light [is] short because of darkness.
Jogi loko otieno mi bed odiechiengʼ; ka piny otimo mudho to giwacho ni, ‘Ler ni machiegni.’
13 If I wait, the grave [is] my house: I have made my bed in the darkness. (Sheol )
Ka dipo ni dala ma ageno dhiye en mana liel kende, kata kapo ni apedho kitandana e mudho, (Sheol )
14 I have said to corruption, Thou [art] my father: to the worm, [Thou art] my mother, and my sister.
ka dipo ni awacho ne kethruok ni, ‘In e wuonwa,’ kendo aluongo kudni ni, ‘minwa,’ kata ni, ‘nyamera,’
15 And where [is] now my hope? as for my hope, who will see it?
to koro geno mara ni kune? En ngʼa manyalo neno geno moro amora ma an-go?
16 They shall go down to the bars of the pit, when [our] rest together [is] in the dust. (Sheol )
Bende dodhi piny nyaka e dhorangeye mag tho? Koso bende dwalor kode nyaka ei lowo?” (Sheol )
