Job 14
1 Man [that is] born of a woman [is] of few days, and full of trouble.
ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଜାତ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଅଳ୍ପାୟୁ ଓ ଦୁଃଖରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ।
2 He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.
ସେ ପୁଷ୍ପ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ପ୍ରସ୍ପୁଟିତ ହୋଇ କଟାଯାଏ; ମଧ୍ୟ ସେ ଛାୟା ତୁଲ୍ୟ ବହିଯାଇ ସ୍ଥିର ନ ଥାଏ।
3 And dost thou open thy eyes upon such one, and bring me into judgment with thee?
ଆଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏପରି ଜଣକ ଉପରେ କʼଣ ଆପଣା ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରଖୁଅଛ ଓ ଆପଣା ନିକଟକୁ ବିଚାରାର୍ଥେ କʼଣ ମୋତେ ଆଣୁଅଛ?
4 Who can bring a clean [thing] out of an unclean? not one.
ଅଶୁଚି ବସ୍ତୁରୁ ଶୁଚି ବସ୍ତୁ କିଏ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ କରିପାରେ? ଜଣେ ନାହିଁ।
5 Seeing his days [are] determined, the number of his months [is] with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;
ତାହାର ଦିନସବୁ ନିର୍ଣ୍ଣୀତ, ତାହାର ମାସ-ସଂଖ୍ୟା ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରେ ଅଛି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାର ସୀମା ନିରୂପଣ କରିଅଛ, ଏଣୁ ସେ ତାହା ଲଙ୍ଘନ କରିପାରେ ନାହିଁ?
6 Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as a hireling, his day.
ଏହେତୁ ସେ ଯେପରି ବେତନଜୀବୀ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ଦିନ ଭୋଗ କରିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ପାଇ ପାରିବ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତାହାଠାରୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ଫେରାଅ।
7 For there is hope of a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and that its tender branch will not cease.
କାରଣ ବୃକ୍ଷ ବିଷୟରେ ଆଶା ଥାଏ, ତାହା କଟାଗଲେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ପଲ୍ଲବିତ ହେବ ଓ ତହିଁର କୋମଳ ଶାଖାର ଅଭାବ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।
8 Though its root shall become old in the earth, and its stock die in the ground;
ଯଦ୍ୟପି ତହିଁର ମୂଳ ମୃତ୍ତିକାରେ ପୁରୁଣା ହୋଇଯାଏ ଓ ତହିଁର ଗଣ୍ଡି ଭୂମିରେ ମରିଯାଏ;
9 [Yet] through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.
ତଥାପି ଜଳର ଗନ୍ଧ ପାଇଲେ, ତାହା ପଲ୍ଲବିତ ହେବ ଓ ରୋପିତ ବୃକ୍ଷ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଶାଖାବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ହେବ।
10 But man dieth, and wasteth away: yes, man yieldeth his breath, and where [is] he?
ମାତ୍ର ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ମରେ ଓ କ୍ଷୟ ପାଏ; ହଁ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାଣତ୍ୟାଗ କରେ, ପୁଣି ସେ କେଉଁଠାରେ ଥାଏ?
11 [As] the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:
ଯେପରି ସମୁଦ୍ରରୁ ଜଳ ବାହାରି ଯାଏ ଓ ନଦୀ କ୍ଷୟପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ଓ ଶୁଷ୍କ ହୁଏ;
12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens [shall be] no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.
ସେପରି ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଶୟନ କଲେ ଆଉ ଉଠେ ନାହିଁ; ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳ ଲୋପ ନ ପାଇବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେମାନେ ଜାଗ୍ରତ ହେବେ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ନିଦ୍ରାରୁ ଉତ୍ଥାପିତ ହେବେ ନାହିଁ।
13 O that thou wouldst hide me in the grave, that thou wouldst keep me secret, until thy wrath is past, that thou wouldst appoint me a set time, and remember me! (Sheol h7585)
ଆଃ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେବେ ପାତାଳରେ ମୋତେ ଲୁଚାଇ ରଖନ୍ତ, ତୁମ୍ଭର କୋପ ଅତୀତ ହେବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଯେବେ ମୋତେ ଗୋପନରେ ରଖନ୍ତ, ଯେବେ ମୋʼ ପାଇଁ ସମୟ ନିରୂପଣ କରି ମୋତେ ସ୍ମରଣ କରନ୍ତ! (Sheol h7585)
14 If a man dieth, shall he live [again]? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change shall come.
ଯଦି ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ହୁଏ ତେବେ କʼଣ ସେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ବଞ୍ଚିବ? ମୋହର ମୁକ୍ତି ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ନୋହିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ଯୁଦ୍ଧର ସମସ୍ତ ଦିନ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରିବି।
15 Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thy hands.
ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଡାକିବ ଓ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେବି; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତକୃତ କର୍ମ ପ୍ରତି କରୁଣା କରିବ।
16 For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin?
ମାତ୍ର ଏବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋʼ ପାଦଗତି ଗଣନା କରୁଅଛ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ କʼଣ ମୋʼ ପାପ ପ୍ରତି ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କରୁ ନାହଁ?
17 My transgression [is] sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up my iniquity.
ମୋହର ଅପରାଧ ଥଳୀରେ ମୋହରାଙ୍କିତ ହୋଇଅଛି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋʼ ଅଧର୍ମ ବାନ୍ଧି ରଖୁଅଛ।
18 And surely the mountain falling cometh to naught, and the rock is removed out of its place.
ଆଉ, ପର୍ବତ ପଡ଼ିଲେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଲୁପ୍ତ ହୁଏ ଓ ଶୈଳ ଆପଣା ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ଅନ୍ତରିତ ହୁଏ;
19 The waters wear the stones: thou washest away the things which grow [out] of the dust of the earth; and thou destroyest the hope of man.
ଜଳ ପ୍ରସ୍ତରକୁ କ୍ଷୟ କରେ; ଜଳର ପ୍ଲାବନ ପୃଥିବୀର ଧୂଳି ଧୋଇନିଏ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ଆଶା ନାଶ କରୁଅଛ।
20 Thou prevailest for ever against him, and he passeth: thou changest his countenance, and sendest him away.
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାକାଳ ତାହା ଉପରେ ଜୟଯୁକ୍ତ ହେଉଅଛ, ତେଣୁ ସେ ଚାଲିଯାଏ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାର ମୁଖ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରି ତାହାକୁ ଦୂର କରି ଦେଉଅଛ।
21 His sons come to honor, and he knoweth [it] not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth [it] not of them.
ତାହାର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ସମ୍ଭ୍ରମ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲେ, ସେ ତାହା ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ; ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ଅବନତ ହେଲେ, ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟ ବୋଧ ପାଏ ନାହିଁ।
22 But his flesh upon him shall have pain, and his soul within him shall mourn.
ମାତ୍ର ତାହାର ନିଜ ମାଂସ ବ୍ୟଥା ଭୋଗ କରେ ଓ ତାହାର ପ୍ରାଣ ଅନ୍ତରେ ବ୍ୟାକୁଳ ହୁଏ।”
