Job 12
1 And Job answered and said,
Ndipo Ayubu akajibu na kusema,
2 No doubt but ye [are] the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
“Hakuna shaka ninyi wanadamu; Hekima mtakufa nayo.
3 But I have understanding as well as you; I [am] not inferior to you: yes, who knoweth not such things as these?
Lakini nina ufahamu kama vile ninyi; Mimi siyo duni kwenu. Ni dhhiri, ni nani asiyefahamu vitu hivyo kama hivi?
4 I am [as] one mocked by his neighbor, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright [man is] derided.
Mimi ni kitu cha kuchekwa na jirani-Mimi, ni mmoja aliyemwita Mungu na ambaye alijibiwa na yeye! Mimi, ni mwenye haki na mtu asiyekuwa na hatia-Mimi sasa nimekuwa kitu cha kuchekwa.
5 He that is ready to slip with [his] feet [is as] a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.
Katika mawazo yake mtu fulani aliye katika kufurahi, kuna kudharau kwa mashaka; hufikiri katika njia ambayo huleta mambo mabaya zaidi kwa wale ambao miguu yao inateleza.
6 The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth [abundantly].
Hema za wezi hufanikiwa, na wale ambao humkasirisha Mungu huhisi salama; mikono yao wenyewe ni miungu wao.
7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
Lakini sasa waulize hao wanyama wa mwituni, na watakufundisha wewe; waulize ndege wa angani, na watakuambia wewe.
8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare to thee.
Au iambie ardhi, na itakufundisha wewe; samaki wa baharini watakutangazia wewe.
9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?
Ni myama yupi miongoni mwa hawa asiyefahamu kuwa mkono wa Yahwe umetenda haya?
10 In whose hand [is] the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
Katika mkono wake mna uzima wa kila kiumbe hai na pumzi ya wanadamu wote.
11 Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste its food?
Je, sikio haliyajaribu maneno kama vile kaakaa lionjavyo chakula chake?
12 With the ancient [is] wisdom; and in length of days understanding.
Kwa wazee mna hekima; katika wingi wa siku mna ufahamu.
13 With him [is] wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.
Pamoja na Mungu mna hekima na ukuu; yeye anayo mashauri na ufahamu.
14 Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
Tazama, yeye huangusha chini, na haiwezekani kujengwa tena; kama yeye akimtia gerezani mtu yeyote, hakutakuwa tena kufunguliwa.
15 Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
Tazama, kama yeye akiyazuia maji, yanakauka; na kama akiyaachilia nje yanaitaabisha ardhi.
16 With him [is] strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver [are] his.
Pamoja na yeye mna nguvu na hekima; watu ambao wamedanganywa na mdanganyi wote pamoja wako katika nguvu zake.
17 He leadeth counselors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools.
Yeye huwaongoza washauri mbali bila kuvaa viatu katika huzuni; huwarudisha hakimu katika upumbavu.
18 He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle.
Yeye Huondoa minyororo ya mamlaka kutoka kwa wafalme; yeye hufunika viuno vyao kwa nguo.
19 He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.
Yeye huwaongoza makuhani mbali bila kuvaa viatu na kuwapindua watu wakuu.
20 He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.
Yeye huondoa hotuba ya wale waliokuwa wameaminiwa na huondoa mbali ufahamu wa wazee.
21 He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty.
Yeye humwaga aibu juu ya binti za wafalme na hufungua mishipi ya watu wenye nguvu.
22 He revealeth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth to light the shades of death.
Yeye huweka wazi vitu vya kina kutoka katika giza na kuvileta nje kumuika vivuli mahali ambapa watu waliokufa wapo.
23 He increaseth nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth nations, and straiteneth them [again].
Yeye huyafanya mataifa kuwa na nguvu, na pia huyaharibu; Yeye pia huyakuza mataifa, na pia yeye huyaongoza mbali kama wafungwa.
24 He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness [where there is] no way.
Yeye huondoa mbali ufahamu kutoka kwa viongozi wa watu wa nchi; huwafanya wao kutangatanga msituni mahali pasipo na njia.
25 They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like [a] drunken [man].
Wao wanapapasa katika giza bila kuwa na mwanga; yeye huwafanya wao kuweweseka kama mtu mlevi.
