Job 12
1 And Job answered and said,
१नंतर ईयोबने उत्तर दिले आणि म्हणाला,
2 No doubt but ye [are] the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
२“तुम्हीच फक्त शहाणे लोक आहात, यामध्ये काही शंका नाहीत, तुमच्याबरोबरच शहाणपणही मरून जाईल.
3 But I have understanding as well as you; I [am] not inferior to you: yes, who knoweth not such things as these?
३माझे ही मन तुमच्या मनाइतकेच चांगले आहे, मीही तुमच्या इतकाच हुशार आहे. अहो खरेच, अशा प्रकारच्या गोष्टी कोणासही माहित नाहीत?
4 I am [as] one mocked by his neighbor, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright [man is] derided.
४माझ्या शेजाऱ्यांना मी हसण्याचा विषय झालो आहे. ते म्हणतात, त्याने देवाकडे प्रार्थना केली आणि त्यास त्याचे उत्तर मिळाले! मी चांगला आणि निष्पाप मानव आहे, पण तरीही ते मला हसतात.
5 He that is ready to slip with [his] feet [is as] a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.
५जो कोणी सुखी आहे, त्याच्या मते संकट हे दुदैव आहे, जो संकटात पडत आहे, त्यांच्या विचारा प्रमाणे तो अधिक तिरस्कारास पात्र आहे.
6 The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth [abundantly].
६परंतु चोरांचे तंबू समृध्द होतात. आणि जे लोक देवाला क्रोध आणतात ते निर्भय राहतात. केवळ त्यांच्या स्वत: चे हातच त्यांचे देव आहेत.
7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
७पण आता पशूंस विचार, ते तुला शिकवतील, आकाशात उडणाऱ्या पक्ष्यांना विचार आणि ते तुम्हास सांगतील.
8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare to thee.
८किंवा पृथ्वीशी बोला, ती तुला शिकवेल. समुद्रातील मासे तुला कळवतील कि,
9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?
९या सर्व गोष्टी परमेश्वराच्या हाताने केल्या, त्यांना जीवन दिले हे माहित नाही असा, त्यांच्या मध्ये कोण प्राणी आहे.
10 In whose hand [is] the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
१०जगणारा प्रत्येक प्राणी आणि श्वास घेणारा प्रत्येक मनुष्य देवाच्या अधिपत्याखाली असतो.
11 Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste its food?
११ज्या प्रमाणे जिभेला अन्नांची चव समजते, तसेच कानास शब्दातील फरक कळणार नाही का
12 With the ancient [is] wisdom; and in length of days understanding.
१२वृध्द माणसे शहाणी असतात. दीर्घायुष्याने समजुतदारपणा येतो.
13 With him [is] wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.
१३देवाच्या ठायी ज्ञान आणि सामर्थ्य आहेत. त्याच्याजवळ चांगला उपदेश आणि समजूतदारपणाही आहे.
14 Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
१४देव जेव्हा एखादी गोष्ट उध्वस्त करतो तेव्हा लोकांस ती परत उभारता येत नाही. देवाने जर एखाद्याला तुरुंगात टाकले तर लोक त्याची सुटका करु शकत नाहीत.
15 Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
१५पहा, जर त्याने पाऊस पडू दिला नाही तर पृथ्वी सुकून जाईल आणि जर त्याने पावसास मोकळे सोडले तर सारी पृथ्वी जलमय होऊन जाईल.
16 With him [is] strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver [are] his.
१६त्याच्या ठायी ज्ञान आणि सामर्थ्य आहेत. जिंकणारे आणि हरणारे सर्वच देवाच्या अधिन आहेत.
17 He leadeth counselors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools.
१७तो राज्यमंत्र्यांना दुखात अनवाणी पायांनी घेवून जातो, तो न्यायाधीशास मूर्ख ठरवतो.
18 He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle.
१८तो राजाचा अधिकार काढून घेतो, त्याच्या कमरेस बंधन लावतो.
19 He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.
१९तो याजकांचे सामर्थ्य काढून घेतो आणि मंदिरातील सेवकांना फारसे महत्व देत नाही.
20 He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.
२०तो विश्वासू उपदेशकाचा उपदेश काढून टाकतो, आणि वृद्धांची विद्वत्ता काढून घेतो.
21 He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty.
२१तो राजकुमारावर तिरस्काराची ओतनी करतो आणि सत्तेचे बंधन काढून टाकतो.
22 He revealeth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth to light the shades of death.
२२तो अंधारातील रहस्ये प्रगट करितो. मृत्यूलोकातल्या काळोखापेक्षा अधिक काळोख असलेल्या ठिकाणी तो प्रकाश पाठवतो.
23 He increaseth nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth nations, and straiteneth them [again].
२३तोच महान राष्ट्र बनवतो आणि तोच त्यांना नष्टही करतो. तो देशांना मोठे होऊ देतो आणि नंतर त्यातील लोकांस नष्ट करतो.
24 He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness [where there is] no way.
२४देव नेत्यांना मूर्ख बनवतो. तो त्यांना वाळवंटात इकडे तिकडे मार्गहीन भटकायला लावतो.
25 They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like [a] drunken [man].
२५प्रकाशाविना ते अंधारात चाचपडतात, तो त्यांना दारु प्यायलेल्या मनुष्या सारखा झोकांड्या खाणारा बनवतो.”
