< Jeremiah 5 >

1 Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in its broad places, if ye can find a man, if there is [any] that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.
“Darasenyo a mapan kadagiti kalsada ti Jerusalem, kasta met nga agsukimatkayo kadagiti plasana. Ket kitaenyo ken panunotenyo daytoy: No makasarakkayo iti tao wenno siasinoman nga agtigtignay a sililinteg ken ikagkagumaanna nga agtignay a sipupudno, pakawanekto ti Jerusalem.
2 And though they say, The LORD liveth; surely they swear falsely.
Uray no kunada, 'Iti nagan ni Yahweh nga adda iti agnanayon,' inuulbod ti panagsapatada.”
3 O LORD, [are] not thy eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, [but] they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.
O Yahweh, saan kadi a kinapudno ti sapsapulen dagiti matam? Dinangram dagiti tattao, ngem saanda a makarikna iti ut-ot. Pinarmekmo ida a naan-anay, ngem agkedkedda latta nga umawat iti panangiwanwan. Pagbalbalinenda a natangtangken pay ngem bato dagiti rupada, ta saanda a kayat nga agbabawi.
4 Therefore I said, Surely these [are] poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, [nor] the judgment of their God.
Isu a kinunak, “Awan duadua a napanglaw laeng dagitoy a tattao. Maagda, ta saanda nga ammo dagiti wagas ni Yahweh, uray pay dagiti paglintegan ti Diosda.
5 I will go to the great men, and will speak to them; for they have known the way of the LORD, [and] the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, [and] burst the bonds.
Mapanakto kadagiti mabigbigbig a tattao ket ipakaamok kadakuada dagiti mensahe ti Dios, ta uray kaskasano, ammoda ti wagas ni Yahweh, dagiti paglintegan ti Diosda. Ngem aminda, tinukkolda a sangsangkamaysa ti sangolda; pinugsatda amin dagiti kawar a nangisinggalut kadakuada iti Dios.
6 Wherefore a lion from the forest shall slay them, [and] a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, [and] their backslidings are increased.
Isu a rautento ida ti leon nga aggapu iti kasamekan. Dadaelento ida iti atap nga aso nga aggapu idiay Araba. Umayto ti leopardo a maibusor kadagiti siudadda. Marangrangkayto ti siasinoman a rummuar iti siudadna. Ta kumarkarkaro ti panagsalungasingda. Awan panagpatingga ti panangtallikudda iti Dios.
7 How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by [them that are] no gods: when I had fed them to the full, then they committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses.
Apay koma a pakawanek dagitoy a tattao? Tinallikudandak dagiti annakyo a lallaki ken nagsapatada iti nagan dagiti saan a dios. Binussogko ida, ngem nakikamalalada ket napanda iti balay dagiti balangkantis.
8 They were [as] fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbor's wife.
Kaslada la kadagiti kabalio a makataktakba. Aggarraigida gapu iti tarigagayda a tumakba. Tarigagayan ti tunggal lalaki ti asawa ti kaarrubana.
9 Shall I not visit for these [things]? saith the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
Isu a saan kadi a rumbeng laeng a dusaek ida- kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh- saan kadi a rumbeng laeng nga agibalesak iti nasion a kas iti daytoy?
10 Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they [are] not the LORD'S.
Sumang-atkayo kadagiti natukad-tukad a kaubasanna ket dadaelenyo dagitoy. Ngem saanyo a dadaelen a maminpinsan dagitoy. Putdenyo dagiti sangada, agsipud ta dagitoy a sanga ket saan a nagtaud kenni Yahweh.
11 For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, saith the LORD.
Ta liniputandak a naminpinsan dagiti balay ti Israel ken Juda- kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh-
12 They have belied the LORD, and said, [It is] not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:
ken inlaksiddak. Kunada, 'Saan a pudno isuna. Awanto ti dakes a mapagtengtayo, ken saantayonto a makakita iti kampilan wenno agsagaba iti panagbisin.
13 And the prophets shall become wind, and the word [is] not in them: thus shall it be done to them.
Ta awanen iti serserbi dagiti profeta, maiyarigdan iti angin, ken awan a pulos ti mangipakpakaammo kadatayo iti mensahe ni Yahweh. Sagabaenda ngarud dagiti pangtada.”'
14 Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, Behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.
Isu a kastoy ti kuna ni Yahweh a Manakabalin-amin, “Gapu ta imbagam daytoy, denggem, ngannganikon nga ikabil ti saok dita ngiwatmo. Kaslanto apuy daytoy, ket kaslanto kayo dagitoy a tattao! Ta uramennanto ida.
15 Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the LORD: it [is] a mighty nation, it [is] an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say.
Kitaem, umadanin ti panangiyegko iti maysa a nasion a maibusor kadakayo manipud iti adayo, balay ti Israel- kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh- nabileg daytoy a nasion, nasion nga addan idi un-unana! Daytoy ket nasion a saanyo nga ammo ti pagsasaoda, wenno maawatan dagiti ibagada.
16 Their quiver [is] as an open sepulcher, they [are] all mighty men.
Kasla silulukat a tanem ti pana daytoy. Soldadoda amin.
17 And they shall eat up thy harvest, and thy bread, [which] thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up thy flocks and thy herds: they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig-trees: they shall impoverish with the sword thy fortified cities, in which thou hast trusted.
Isu a maibusto dagiti apityo, kasta met dagiti annakyo a lallaki ken babbai, ken taraonyo. Kanendanto dagiti arban iti karnero ken bakbakayo; kanendanto dagiti bunga ti ubasyo ken dagiti kayo ti igos. Rebbaendanto babaen iti kampilan dagiti nasarikedkedan a siudadyo nga isu a pagtaltalkanyo.
18 Nevertheless in those days, saith the LORD, I will not make a full end with you.
Ngem uray kadagidiay nga al-aldaw- kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh- saanko a panggep a dadaelenkayo a naan-anay.
19 And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Why doeth the LORD our God all these [things] to us? then shalt thou answer them, As ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land [that is] not yours.
inton dakayo, Israel ken Juda, ket kunayo, 'Apay nga inaramid kadatayo ni Yahweh a Diostayo amin dagitoy a banbanag? Ket sika, Jeremias, kunaemto kadakuada, 'Kas iti panangtallikudyo kenni Yahweh ken nagrukbabkayo kadagiti gangannaet a dios iti dagayo, agserbikayonto met ngarud kadagiti gangannaet iti daga a saanyo a kukua.'
20 Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,
Ipadamagmo daytoy iti balay ni Jacob ken ipangngegmo iti Juda. Kunaem,
21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; who have eyes, and see not; who have ears, and hear not:
'Dengngenyo daytoy, dakayo a maag a tattao nga awan pannakaawatna; addaan kadagiti mata, ngem saan a makakita. Addaanda kadagiti lapayag, ngem saan a makangngeg.
22 Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, who have placed the sand [for] the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though its waves toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
Saankayo kadi nga agbuteng kaniak- kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh-wenno agpigerger iti sangoanak? Nangikabilak iti darat a kas pannakabeddeng ti baybay, maysa nga agnanayon a paglintegan a saanna a malabsing- uray pay agpangato ken agpababa ti baybay, kaskasdi a saanna a labsingen daytoy. Uray pay agdaranudor dagiti dalluyon daytoy, saanda a lumabes iti daytoy.
23 But this people have a revolting and a rebellious heart; they have revolted and gone.
Ngem addaan iti natangken a panagpuspuso dagitoy a tattao. Nagsukir ken pimmanawda.
24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in its season: he reserveth to us the appointed weeks of harvest.
Ta saanda a kunaen kadagiti puspusoda, “Agbutengtayo kenni Yahweh a Diostayo, nga isu ti mangmangyeg iti tudo- ti umuna ken maudi a tudo- iti apag-isu a tiempoda, a mangipasigurado iti naituding a lawlawas a panagaapittayo.” Ti kinadakesyo ti nanglapped iti pannakapasamak dagitoy a banbanag.
25 Your iniquities have turned away these [things], and your sins have withheld good [things] from you.
Dagiti basbasolyo ti nanglapped iti iyuumay ti naimbag kadakayo.
26 For among my people are found wicked [men]: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.
Ta adda nadangkes a lallaki a nailaok kadagiti tattaok. Agbanbantayda a kas iti maysa nga agar-arudok nga agtiliw kadagiti billit; mangipakatda iti palab-og ken tiliwenda dagiti tattao.
27 As a cage is full of birds, so [are] their houses full of deceit: therefore they have become great, and have grown rich.
Kas iti tangkal a napunno iti bilbillit, napnoan iti panangallilaw dagiti babbalayda. Isu a dimmakkel ken bimmaknangda.
28 They have become fat, they shine: yes, they surpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.
Limmukmegda; uray la simmileng dagiti kudilda iti kinapintas ti panagbiagda. Limmabesda kadagiti amin a beddeng ti kinadakes. Saanda nga ipakaasi ti kalintegan dagiti tattao, wenno ikanawa dagiti ulila. Rumangrang-ayda uray no saanda nga inikkan iti kalintegan dagiti agkasapulan.
29 Shall I not visit for these [things]? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?
Saan kadi a nasken a dusaek ida gapu kadagitoy a banbanag- kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh- ken saan kadi a rumbeng laeng a balsek ti nasion a kas iti daytoy?
30 A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;
Nakabutbuteng ken nakaal-alinggaget ti napasamak iti daga.
31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love [to have it] so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
Nagipadto dagiti profeta iti inaallilaw, ken agturturay dagiti papadi iti bukodda a bileg. Kaykayat dagiti tattaok ti kastoy a wagas, ngem anianto ti mapasamak iti kamaudianan?
