Jeremiah 48

1 Against Moab thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe to Nebo! for it is laid waste: Kiriathaim is confounded [and] taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed.

മോവാബിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള അരുളപ്പാടു. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നെബോവിന്നു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! അതു ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു; കിൎയ്യത്തയീമിന്നു ലജ്ജ ഭവിച്ചു; അതു പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടുപോയി; ഉയൎന്ന കോട്ട ലജ്ജിച്ചു ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.

2 [There shall be] no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from [being] a nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.

മോവാബിന്റെ വമ്പു ഒടുങ്ങിപ്പോയി; ഹെശ്ബോനിൽ അവർ അതിന്റെ നേരെ അനൎത്ഥം നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു; വരുവിൻ, അതു ഒരു ജാതി ആയിരിക്കാതവണ്ണം നാം അതിനെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളക; മദ്മേനേ, നീയും നശിച്ചുപോകും; വാൾ നിന്നെ പിന്തുടരും.

3 A voice of crying [shall be] from Horonaim, devastation and great destruction.

ഹോരോനയീമിൽനിന്നു: നാശം, മഹാസംഹാരം എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിലവിളി കേൾക്കുന്നു.

4 Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.

മോവാബ് തകൎന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുകൾ നിലവിളി കൂട്ടുന്നു.

5 For in the ascent of Luhith continual weeping shall go up; for in the descent of Horonaim the enemies have heard a cry of destruction.

ലൂഹീതിലേക്കുള്ള കയറ്റത്തിൽകൂടി അവർ കരഞ്ഞുംകൊണ്ടു കയറിപ്പോകുന്നു; ഹോരോനയീമിലേക്കുള്ള ഇറക്കത്തിൽ സംഹാരത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള നിലവിളിയുടെ സങ്കടശബ്ദം കേൾക്കുന്നു.

6 Flee, save your lives, and be like the heath in the wilderness.

ഓടിപ്പോകുവിൻ! പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിപ്പിൻ! മരുഭൂമിയിലെ ചൂരൽചെടിപോലെ ആയിത്തീരുവിൻ!

7 For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou also shalt be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity [with] his priests and his princes together.

നിന്റെ കോട്ടകളിലും ഭണ്ഡാരങ്ങളിലും ആശ്രയിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു നീയും പിടിക്കപ്പെടും; കെമോശ് തന്റെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരോടും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടും കൂടെ പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകും.

8 And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD hath spoken.

കൊള്ളയിടുന്നവൻ എല്ലാപട്ടണത്തിലും വരും; ഒരു പട്ടണവും ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകയില്ല; യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ താഴ്വര നശിച്ചുപോകും; സമഭൂമി ശൂന്യമായ്തീരും.

9 Give wings to Moab, that it may flee and get away: for its cities shall be desolate, without any to dwell in them.

മോവാബ് പറന്നുപോകേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിന്നു ചിറകു കൊടുപ്പിൻ; അതിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ നിവാസികൾ ഇല്ലാതെ ശൂന്യമായ്പോകും.

10 Cursed [be] he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully, and cursed [be] he that keepeth back his sword from blood.

യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തി ഉദാസീനതയോടെ ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ; രക്തം ചൊരിയാതെ വാൾ അടക്കിവെക്കുന്നവൻ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ;

11 Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.

മോവാബ് ബാല്യം മുതൽ സ്വൈരമായി മട്ടിന്മീതെ തെളിഞ്ഞുനിന്നു; അവനെ പാത്രത്തിൽനിന്നു പാത്രത്തിലേക്കു പകരുകയോ പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ സ്വാദു അവനിൽ തന്നേ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ മണം പോയ്പോയിട്ടുമില്ല.

12 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will send to him wanderers that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles.

ആകയാൽ പകരുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയപ്പാനുള്ള കാലം വരുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; അവർ അവനെ പകൎന്നുകളകയും അവന്റെ പാത്രങ്ങളെ ഒഴിച്ചു കുടങ്ങളെ ഉടെച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്യും.

13 And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Beth-el their confidence.

യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹം തങ്ങളുടെ ആശ്രയമായ ബേഥേലിങ്കൽ ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോയതുപോലെ മോവാബും കെമോശിങ്കൽ ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകും.

14 How say ye, We [are] mighty and strong men for the war?

ഞങ്ങൾ വീരന്മാരും യുദ്ധസമൎത്ഥന്മാരും ആകുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നതെങ്ങിനെ?

15 Moab is laid waste, and gone up [out of] her cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the king, whose name [is] the LORD of hosts.

മോവാബ് നശിച്ചു; അതിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ പുകയായി പൊങ്ങിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠയുവാക്കൾ കുലനിലത്തേക്കു ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ എന്നു നാമമുള്ള രാജാവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

16 The calamity of Moab [is] near to come, and his affliction hasteth fast.

മോവാബിന്നു ആപത്തു വരുവാൻ അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ അനൎത്ഥം ഏറ്റവും ബദ്ധപ്പെടുന്നു.

17 All ye that are about him bemoan him; and all ye that know his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, [and] the beautiful rod!

അവന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള എല്ലാവരുമായുള്ളോരേ. അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു വിലപിപ്പിൻ! അവന്റെ പേർ അറിയുന്ന ഏവരുമായുള്ളോരേ, അയ്യോ ബലമുള്ള വടി, ഭംഗിയുള്ള കോൽ എങ്ങനെ ഒടിഞ്ഞു എന്നു പറവിൻ.

18 Thou daughter that dost inhabit Dibon, come down from [thy] glory, and sit in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab shall come upon thee, [and] he shall destroy thy strong holds.

ദീബോൻനിവാസിനിയായ പുത്രീ, നിന്റെ മഹത്വം വിട്ടിറങ്ങി ദാഹത്തോടെ ഇരിക്ക; മോവാബിനെ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നവൻ നിന്റെ നേരെ വന്നു നിന്റെ കോട്ടകളെ നശിപ്പിക്കുമല്ലോ.

19 O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and espy; ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth, [and] say, What is done?

അരോവേർനിവാസിനിയേ, നീ വഴിയിൽ നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു നോക്കുക; ഓടിപ്പോകുന്നവനോടും ചാടിപ്പോകുന്നവളോടും സംഭവിച്ചതെന്തു എന്നു ചോദിക്ക.

20 Moab is confounded; for it is broken down: howl and cry; tell ye it in Arnon, that Moab is laid waste.

മോവാബ് തകൎന്നിരിക്കയാൽ ലജ്ജിച്ചു പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; മുറയിട്ടു നിലവിളിപ്പിൻ; മോവാബ് ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അൎന്നോനിങ്കൽ അറിയിപ്പിൻ.

21 And judgment is come upon the plain country; upon Holon, and upon Jahazah, and upon Mephaath,

സമഭൂമിക്കു ന്യായവിധി വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഹോലോന്നും യഹ്സെക്കും മേഫാഥിന്നും

22 And upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth-diblathaim,

ദീബോന്നും നെബോവിന്നും ബേത്ത്-ദിബ്ളാത്തയീമിന്നും കിൎയ്യത്തയീമിന്നും

23 And upon Kiriathaim, and upon Beth-gamul, and upon Beth-meon,

ബേത്ത്--ഗാമൂലിന്നും ബേത്ത്-മെയോന്നും

24 And upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near.

കെരീയോത്തിന്നും ബൊസ്രെക്കും മോവാബ് ദേശത്തു ദൂരത്തും സമീപത്തും ഉള്ള എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങൾക്കും തന്നേ.

25 The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith the LORD.

മോവാബിന്റെ കൊമ്പു വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ ഭുജം തകൎന്നുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

26 Make ye him drunken; for he magnified [himself] against the LORD: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.

മോവാബ് യഹോവയുടെ നേരെ വമ്പു കാണിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവന്നു മത്തു പിടിപ്പിപ്പിൻ; മോവാബ് തന്റെ ഛൎദ്ദിയിൽ കിടന്നുരുളും; അവൻ പരിഹാസവിഷയമായ്തീരും.

27 For was not Israel a derision to thee? was he found among thieves? for since thou hast spoken of him, thou hast leaped for joy.

അല്ല, യിസ്രായേൽ നിനക്കു പരിഹാസവിഷയമായിരുന്നില്ലയോ? നീ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു പറയുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും തല കുലുക്കുവാൻ അവൻ കള്ളന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നുവോ?

28 O ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock, and be like the dove [that] maketh her nest in the sides of the hole's mouth.

മോവാബ് നിവാസികളേ, പട്ടണങ്ങളെ വിട്ടു പാറപ്രദേശത്തു പാൎക്കുവിൻ; ഗുഹയുടെ പാൎശ്വങ്ങളിൽ കൂടുവെക്കുന്ന പ്രാവിനെപ്പോലെയാകുവിൻ.

29 We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogance, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.

മോവാബ് മഹാഗൎവ്വി; അവന്റെ ഗൎവ്വത്തെയും അഹമ്മതിയെയും ഡംഭത്തെയും നിഗളത്തെയും ഉന്നതഭാവത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു ഞങ്ങൾ കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു.

30 I know his wrath, saith the LORD; but [it shall] not [be] so; his lies shall not so effect [it].

അവന്റെ ക്രോധം ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; അവന്റെ സംസാരം അസത്യം; അസത്യമായതു അവർ പ്രവൎത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

31 Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for all Moab; [my heart] shall mourn for the men of Kirheres.

അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ മോവാബിനെക്കുറിച്ചു മുറയിടും; എല്ലാമോവാബിനെയും കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ നിലവിളിക്കും; കീർഹേരെസിലെ ജനങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു അവർ വിലപിക്കും.

32 O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jazer: thy plants have gone over the sea, they reach [even] to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler hath fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage.

സിബ്മാമുന്തിരിവള്ളിയേ, യസേരിനെക്കുറിച്ചു കരയുന്നതിലും അധികം ഞാൻ നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു കരയും; നിന്റെ വള്ളികൾ കടലിന്നിക്കരെ കടന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ യസേർകടൽവരെ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ശൂന്യമാക്കുന്നവൻ നിന്റെ കനികളിന്മേലും മുന്തിരിക്കൊയ്ത്തിന്മേലും ചാടി വീണിരിക്കുന്നു.

33 And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to fail from the wine-presses: none shall tread with shouting; [their] shouting [shall be] no shouting.

സന്തോഷവും ഉല്ലാസവും വിളഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നും മോവാബ് ദേശത്തുനിന്നും നീങ്ങിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; ചക്കുകളിൽനിന്നു വീഞ്ഞു ഞാൻ ഇല്ലാതാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ആൎപ്പുവിളിയോടെ ആരും ചക്കു ചവിട്ടുകയില്ല; ആൎപ്പല്ലാത്ത ആൎപ്പുണ്ടാകുംതാനും.

34 From the cry of Heshbon [even] to Elealeh, [and even] to Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar [even] to Horonaim, [as] a heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.

ഹെശ്ബോനിലെ നിലവിളി ഹേതുവാൽ അവർ എലയാലെവരെയും യഹസ് വരെയും സോവാർമുതൽ ഹോരോനയീംവരെയും എഗ്ലത്ത്-ശെലീശിയവരെയും നിലവിളികൂട്ടുന്നു; നിമ്രീമിലെ ജലാശയങ്ങളും ശൂന്യമായ്തീരുമല്ലോ.

35 Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, saith the LORD, him that offereth in the high places, and him that burneth incense to his gods.

പൂജാഗിരിയിൽ ബലികഴിക്കുന്നവനെയും ദേവന്മാൎക്കു ധൂപം കാട്ടുന്നവനെയും ഞാൻ മോവാബിൽ ഇല്ലാതെയാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

36 Therefore my heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and my heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kirheres: because the riches [that] he hath gotten have perished.

മോവാബ് സമ്പാദിച്ച സമ്പാദ്യം നശിച്ചുപോയിരിക്കയാൽ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു എന്റെ ഹൃദയം കുഴൽപോലെ ധ്വനിക്കുന്നു; കീർഹേരെസിലെ ജനങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു എന്റെ ഹൃദയം കുഴൽപോലെ ധ്വനിക്കുന്നു.

37 For every head [shall be] bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands [shall be] cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.

എല്ലാ തലയും കഷണ്ടിയായും എല്ലാതാടിയും കത്രിച്ചും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; എല്ലാകൈകളിന്മേലും മുറിവും അരകളിൽ രട്ടും കാണുന്നു.

38 [There shall be] lamentation generally upon all the house-tops of Moab, and in its streets: for I have broken Moab like a vessel in which [is] no pleasure, saith the LORD.

ഇഷ്ടമില്ലാത്ത പാത്രത്തെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ മോവാബിനെ ഉടെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കയാൽ മോവാബിലെ എല്ലാപുരമുകളുകളിലും അതിന്റെ തെരുക്കളിൽ എല്ലാടവും വിലാപം എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

39 They shall howl, [saying], How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying to all them about him.

അതു എങ്ങനെ ഉടഞ്ഞുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു! മുറയിടുവിൻ! മോവാബ് എങ്ങനെ ലജ്ജിച്ചു പുറന്തിരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു! അങ്ങനെ മോവാബ് തന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ളവൎക്കൊക്കെയും പരിഹാസത്തിന്നും സ്തംഭനത്തിന്നും വിഷയമായ്തീരും.

40 For thus saith the LORD; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread his wings over Moab.

യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: അവൻ കഴുകനെപ്പോലെ പറന്നു മോവാബിന്മേൽ ചിറകു വിടൎക്കും.

41 Kerioth is taken, and the strong holds are surprised, and the mighty men's hearts in Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

കെരീയോത്ത് പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടു; ദുൎഗ്ഗങ്ങൾ കീഴടങ്ങിപ്പോയി; അന്നാളിൽ മോവാബിലെ വീരന്മാരുടെ ഹൃദയം നോവുകിട്ടിയ സ്ത്രീയുടെ ഹൃദയംപോലെയാകും.

42 And Moab shall be destroyed from [being] a people, because he hath magnified [himself] against the LORD.

യഹോവയുടെ നേരെ വമ്പു കാണിക്കയാൽ മോവാബ് ഒരു ജാതിയായിരിക്കാതവണ്ണം നശിച്ചുപോകും.

43 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, [shall be] upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the LORD.

മോവാബ് നിവാസിയേ, പേടിയും കുഴിയും കണിയും നിനക്കു വരും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

44 He that fleeth from the fear, shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth out of the pit, shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, [even] upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.

പേടി ഒഴിഞ്ഞോടുന്നവൻ കുഴിയിൽ വീഴും; കുഴിയിൽനിന്നു കയറുന്നവൻ കണിയിൽ അകപ്പെടും; ഞാൻ അതിന്നു, മോവാബിന്നു തന്നേ, അവരുടെ സന്ദൎശനകാലം വരുത്തും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

45 They that fled stood under the shade of Heshbon because of the force: but a fire shall come out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.

ഓടിപ്പോയവർ ബലമില്ലാതെ ഹെശ്ബോന്റെ നിഴലിൽ നില്ക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഹെശ്ബോനിൽനിന്നു തീയും സീഹോന്റെ നടുവിൽനിന്നു ജ്വാലയും പുറപ്പെട്ടു മോവാബിന്റെ ചെന്നിയും തുമുലപുത്രന്മാരുടെ നെറുകയും ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

46 Woe be to thee, O Moab! the people of Chemosh perisheth: for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters captives.

മോവാബേ, നിനക്കു ഹാ കഷ്ടം! കെമോശിന്റെ ജനം നശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെ ബദ്ധന്മാരായും നിന്റെ പുത്രിമാരെ പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കും കൊണ്ടുപോയിരുന്നു.

47 Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith the LORD. Thus far [is] the judgment of Moab.

എങ്കിലും ഒടുക്കം ഞാൻ മോവാബിന്റെ പ്രവാസം മാറ്റും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു. ഇത്രത്തോളമാകുന്നു മോവാബിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ന്യായവിധി.
