Jeremiah 15
1 Then said the LORD to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, [yet] my mind [could] not [be] towards this people: cast [them] out of my sight, and let them go forth.
तब परमप्रभुले मलाई भन्नुभयो, “मोशा र शमूएल मेरो सामु खडा भए तापनि म यी मानिसका पक्षमा खडा हुन्नँ । तिनीहरूलाई टाढा जानलाई मेरो सामुबाट तिनीहरूलाई हटाइदे ।
2 And it shall come to pass, if they say to thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as [are] for death, to death; and such as [are] for the sword, to the sword; and such as [are] for the famine, to the famine; and such as [are] for the captivity, to the captivity.
यस्तो हुनेछ, तिनीहरूले तँलाई यसो भन्नेछन्, 'हामी कहाँ जाने?' तब तैंले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुपर्छ, 'परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छः मृत्युको निम्ति साँचिएकाहरू मृत्युमा जानुपर्छ । तरवारको निम्ति साँचिएकाहरू तरवारमा जानुपर्छ । अनिकालको निम्ति साँचिएकाहरू अनिकालमा जानुपर्छ, र निर्वासनको निम्ति साँचिएकाहरू निर्वासनमा जानुपर्छ ।'
3 And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.
म तिनीहरूलाई चारवटा समूहमा विभाजन गर्नेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो— केहीलाई मार्न तरवारलाई, केहीलाई घिसार्न कुकुरहरूलाई, केहीलाई स्वाहा पार्न र नष्ट पार्नलाई आकाशका चराहरू र जमिनका पशुहरूलाई ।
4 And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for [that] which he did in Jerusalem.
यहूदाका राजा हिजकियाहका छोरा मनश्शेले यरूशलेममा जे गरेका थिए, त्यसैको कारणले म तिनीहरूलाई पृथ्वीका सबै राज्यका लागि एक डरलाग्दो कुरो तुल्याउनेछु ।
5 For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to ask concerning thy welfare?
ए यरूशलेम, तँलाई कसले दया देखाउने छ? तेरो निम्ति कसले शोक गर्नेछ?
6 Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.
तैंले मलाई त्यागेको छस्, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो— तँ मबाट फर्केर गएको छस् । त्यसैले म आफ्नो हातले तँलाई प्रहार गर्नेछु र तलाई नाश पार्नेछु । तँलाई दया देखाउँदा-देखाउँदा म थकित भइसकेको छु ।
7 And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave [them] of children, I will destroy my people, [since] they return not from their ways.
त्यसैल म तिनीहरूलाई देशका मूल ढोकाहरूमा नाङ्लोले निफन्नेछु । म तिनीहरूलाई शोकमा पार्नेछु । मेरा मानिसहरू आफ्ना मार्गबाट नफर्कने भएकाले म तिनीहरूलाई नष्ट पार्नेछु ।
8 Their widows are multiplied to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noon-day: I have caused [him] to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city.
म तिनीहरूका विधवाहरूको सङ्ख्या समुद्रतटको बालुवाभन्दा धेरै बनाउनेछु । युवाहरूका आमाहरूको विरुद्धमा म दिउँसै विनाशक पठाउनेछु । शोक र त्रासलाई तिनीहरूमा अकस्मात् आउने म बनाउनेछु ।
9 She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath resigned her breath; her sun is gone down while [it was] yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the LORD.
सात जना सन्तान जन्माउने आमा उजाड हुनेछे । त्यसले उफ् उफ् गर्नेछे । दिन छँदै त्यसको घाम अस्ताउनेछ । त्यो लज्जित र अपमानित हुनेछे, किनकि बाँकी रहेकाहरूलाई म तिनीहरूका शत्रुहरूको उपस्थितिमा तरवारलाई दिनेछु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।”
10 Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor have men lent to me on usury; [yet] every one of them doth curse me.
हे मेरी आमा, मलाई धिक्कार छ! किनकि तपाईंले मलाई जन्म दिनुभयो, म जो देशैभरि तर्क र विवादको मानिस हुँ । मैले ऋण दिएको छैनँ, न कसैले मलाई ऋण दिएको छ, तर तिनीहरू सबैले मलाई श्राप दिन्छन् ।
11 The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to treat thee [well] in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.
परमप्रभुले भन्नुभयो, “के म भलाइको लागि तँलाई छुटानेछैनँ र? निश्चय नै सङ्कष्ट र विपत्तिको समयमा म तेरा शत्रुहरूलाई मदतको निम्ति तँसित बिन्ती गर्न लगाउनेछु ।
12 Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel?
के कसैले फलामलाई टुक्रा-टुक्रा पार्न सक्छ? खास गरी, उत्तरबाट आउने काँसा मिसिएको फलामलाई?
13 Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and [that] for all thy sins, even in all thy borders.
म तेरा शत्रुहरूलाई तेरा धन-सम्पत्ति र खजाना सित्तैंमा लुटको मालको रूपमा दिनेछु । तेरा सबै सिमानभित्र गरिएका तेरा सबै पापको कारणले म यसो गर्नेछु ।
14 And I will make [thee] to pass with thy enemies into a land [which] thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in my anger, [which] shall burn upon you.
त्यसपछि तैंले नचिन्ने देशमा म तँलाई तेरा शत्रुहरूको सेवा गर्न लगाउनेछु, किनकि तेरो विरुद्धमा मेरो रिसमा आगो दन्कने छ ।”
15 O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy long-suffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.
हे परमप्रभु, तपाईं जान्नुहुन्छ । मलाई सम्झनुहोस्, र सहायता गर्नुहोस् । मलाई सतावट गर्नेहरूको विरुद्धमा मेरो पक्षमा बदला लिनुहोस् । तपाईं धैर्यवान् हुनुहुन्छ, तर मलाई टाढा लाने अनुमति तिनीहरूलाई नदिनुहोस् । तपाईंको निम्ति मैले निन्दा भोग्छु भनी जान्नुहोस् ।
16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.
तपाईंका वचनहरू भेट्टाइएका छन्, र मैले ती खाएँ । तपाईंका वचनहरू मेरो लागि रमाहट बने, र मेरो हृदयको आनन्द बने, किनकि हे सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु परमेश्वर म तपाईंको नाउँ लिन्छु ।
17 I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.
म उत्सव मनाउने वा रमाहट गर्नेहरूका बिचमा बसिनँ । तपाईंको शक्तिशाली हातको कारणले म एकान्तमा बसेँ, किनकि तपाईंले मलाई क्रोधले भर्नुभयो ।
18 Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, [which] refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether to me as a liar, [and as] waters [that] fail?
किन मेरो पिडा निरन्तर छ, र मेरो चोट निको हुन नमान्ने, निको नहुने भएको छ? के तपाईं मेरो लागि झुक्किने खोला, सुकेर जाने खोलाजस्तो बन्नुहुने छ र?
19 Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou shalt return, then will I bring thee again, [and] thou shalt stand before me: and if thou shalt separate the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return to thee; but return not thou to them.
त्यसकारण परमप्रभुले यसो भन्नुभयो, “ए यर्मिया, तैंले पश्चात्ताप गरिस् भने म तँलाई पुनर्स्थापित गर्नेछु, र तँ मेरो सामु खडा हुनेछस् र मेरो सेवा गर्नेछस् । किनकि तैंले मूर्ख थोकहरूलाई मुल्यवान् थोकहरूबाट अलग गरिस् भने तँ मेरो मुखजस्तै हुनेछस् । मानिसहरू तँकहाँ फर्केर आउने छन्, तर तँ आफै भने तिनीहरूकहाँ जानुहुँदैन ।
20 And I will make thee to this people a fortified brazen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I [am] with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
यी मानिसको निम्ति म तँलाई छेड्नै नसकिने काँसाको पर्खालजस्तै बनाउनेछु, र तिनीहरूले तेरो विरुद्धमा युद्ध छेड्नेछन् । तर तिनीहरूले तँलाई पराजित गर्नेछैनन्, किनकि तँलाई बचाउन र छुटकारा दिन म तँसितै हुन्छु, यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
21 And I will deliver thee from the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee from the hand of the terrible.
किनकि म तँलाई दुष्टहरूको हातबाट बचाउनेछु, र निर्दयीको हातबाट छुटकारा दिनेछु ।”
