Isaiah 66
1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven [is] my throne, and the earth [is] my footstool: where [is] the house that ye build to me? and where [is] the place of my rest?
Assim diz o Senhor: Os céus são o meu trono, e a terra o escabelo dos meus pés: qual seria a casa que vós me edificarieis? e qual seria o lugar do meu descanço?
2 For all these [things] hath my hand made, and all these [things] have been, saith the LORD: but to this man [will] I look, [even] to [him that is] poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
Porque a minha mão fez todas estas coisas, e assim todas estas coisas foram feitas, diz o Senhor; mas para esse olharei, para o pobre e abatido de espírito, e que treme da minha palavra.
3 He that killeth an ox [is as if] he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, [as if] he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, [as if he offered] swine's blood; he that burneth incense, [as if] he blessed an idol. Yes, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
Quem mata um boi é como o que fere um homem; quem sacrifica um cordeiro é como o que degola um cão; quem oferece uma oblação é como o que oferece sangue de porco; quem oferece incenso memorativo é como o que bendiz a um ídolo: também estes escolhem os seus próprios caminhos, e a sua alma toma prazer nas suas abominações;
4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spoke, they did not hear: but they did evil before my eyes, and chose [that] in which I delighted not.
Também eu escolherei seus escárneos, farei vir sobre eles os seus temores; porquanto clamei e ninguém respondeu, falei, e não escutaram; mas fizeram o que parece mal aos meus olhos, e escolheram aquilo em que não tinha prazer.
5 Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
Ouvi a palavra do Senhor, os que tremeis da sua palavra. Vossos irmãos, que vos aborrecem e longe de si vos separam por amor do meu nome, dizem: Glorifique-se o Senhor; porém aparecerá para a vossa alegria, e eles serão confundidos.
6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompense to his enemies.
Uma voz de grande rumor haverá da cidade, uma voz do templo, a voz do Senhor, que dá o pago aos seus inimigos.
7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a male child.
Antes que estivesse de parto, pariu; antes que lhe viessem as dores, deu à luz um filho macho.
8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? [or] shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
Quem jamais ouviu tal coisa? quem viu coisas semelhantes? poder-se-ia fazer parir uma terra num só dia? nasceria uma nação de uma só vez? mas já Sião esteve de parto e já pariu seus filhos.
9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut [the womb]? saith thy God.
Abriria eu a madre, e não geraria? diz o Senhor: geraria eu, e fechar-me-ia? diz o teu Deus.
10 Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
Gozai-vos com Jerusalém, e alegrai-vos dela, vós todos os que a amais: alegrai-vos com ela de alegria, todos os que pranteastes por ela;
11 That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may draw milk, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
Para que mameis, e vos farteis dos peitos das suas consolações: para que chupeis, e vos deleiteis com o resplandor da sua glória.
12 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon [her] sides, and be dandled upon [her] knees.
Porque assim diz o Senhor: Eis que estenderei sobre ela a paz como um rio, e a glória das nações como um ribeiro que trasborda; então mamareis, ao colo vos trarão, e sobre os joelhos vos afagarão.
13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
Como alguém a quem consola sua mãe, assim eu vos consolarei; e em Jerusalém vós sereis consolados.
14 And when ye see [this], your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known towards his servants, and [his] indignation towards his enemies.
E o vereis e alegrar-se-á o vosso coração, e os vossos ossos reverdecerão como a erva tenra: então a mão do Senhor será notória aos seus servos, e ele se indignará contra os seus inimigos.
15 For behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
Porque, eis que o Senhor virá em fogo; e os seus carros como um torvelinho; para tornar a sua ira em furor, e a sua repreensão em chamas de fogo.
16 For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
Porque com fogo e com a sua espada entrará o Senhor em juízo com toda a carne; e os mortos do Senhor serão multiplicados.
17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one [tree] in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
Os que se santificam, e se purificam nos jardins uns após os outros, no meio deles: os que comem carne de porco, e a abominação, e o rato: juntamente serão consumidos, diz o Senhor.
18 For I [know] their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
Porque conheço as suas obras e os seus pensamentos! o tempo vem em que ajuntarei todas as nações e línguas; e virão, e verão a minha glória.
19 And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them to the nations, [to] Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, [to] Tubal, and Javan, [to] the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.
E porei entre eles um sinal, e os que deles escaparem enviarei às nações, a Tarsis, Pul, e Lud, flecheiros a Tubal e Javan, até às ilhas de mais longe, que não ouviram a minha fama, nem viram a minha glória; e anunciarão a minha glória entre as nações
20 And they shall bring all your brethren [for] an offering to the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
E trarão a todos os vossos irmãos, dentre todas as nações, de presente ao Senhor, sobre cavalos, e em carros, e em liteiras, e sobre mulas, e sobre dromedários, ao meu santo monte, a Jerusalém, diz o Senhor: como quando os filhos de Israel trazem os seus presentes em vasos limpos à casa do Senhor:
21 And I will also take of them for priests [and] for Levites, saith the LORD.
E também deles tomarei a alguns para sacerdotes e para levitas, diz o Senhor.
22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
Porque, como os céus novos, e a terra nova, que hei de fazer, estarão diante da minha face, diz o Senhor, assim também há de estar a vossa semente e o vosso nome.
23 And it shall come to pass, [that] from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
E será que desde uma lua nova até à outra, e desde um sábado até ao outro, virá toda a carne a adorar perante mim, diz o Senhor.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring to all flesh.
E sairão, e verão os corpos mortos dos homens que prevaricaram contra mim; porque o seu bicho nunca morrerá, nem o seu fogo se apagará; e serão em horror a toda a carne.
