Isaiah 60
1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
Ridică-te, străluceşte, căci lumina ta a venit şi gloria DOMNULUI a răsărit peste tine.
2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD will arise upon thee, and his glory will be seen upon thee.
Căci, iată, întunericul va acoperi pământul şi întunericul gros poporul; dar DOMNUL va răsări peste tine şi gloria lui va fi văzută peste tine.
3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
Şi neamurile vor veni la lumina ta şi împăraţii la strălucirea răsăritului tău.
4 Lift up thy eyes around, and see: all they assemble themselves, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at [thy] side.
Ridică-ţi ochii de jur împrejur şi priveşte, toţi se adună împreună, ei vin la tine, fiii tăi vor veni de departe şi fetele tale vor fi îngrijite lângă tine.
5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thy heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted to thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come to thee.
Atunci vei vedea şi vei curge de bucurie şi inima ta se va teme şi se va lărgi; deoarece plinătatea mării se va întoarce spre tine, forţele neamurilor vor veni la tine.
6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall show forth the praises of the LORD.
Mulţimea cămilelor te va acoperi, dromaderii din Madian şi Efa; toţi cei din Seba vor veni, vor aduce aur şi tămâie; şi vor vesti laudele DOMNULUI.
7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered to thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister to thee: they shall come up with acceptance on my altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
Toate turmele Chedarului se vor aduna la tine, berbecii Nebaiotului îţi vor servi, se vor urca pe altarul meu şi vor fi bine primiţi, iar casa gloriei mele eu o voi glorifica.
8 Who [are] these [that] fly as a cloud, and as doves to their windows?
Cine sunt aceştia care zboară ca un nor şi ca porumbeii la porumbarele lor?
9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, to the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
Da, insulele mă vor aştepta şi mai întâi [vor fi] corăbiile din Tarsis, pentru a aduce pe fiii tăi de departe, argintul şi aurul lor cu ei, pentru numele DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău şi al Celui Sfânt al lui Israel, deoarece el te-a glorificat.
10 And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister to thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favor have I had mercy on thee.
Şi fiii străinilor vor construi zidurile tale şi împăraţii lor îţi vor servi, căci în furia mea te-am lovit, dar în bunăvoinţa mea am avut milă de tine.
11 Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that [men] may bring to thee the forces of the Gentiles, and [that] their kings [may be] brought.
De aceea porţile tale vor fi deschise totdeauna; nu vor fi închise nici ziua, nici noaptea; ca să se aducă la tine tăriile neamurilor şi să fie aduşi împăraţii lor.
12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yes, [those] nations shall be utterly wasted.
Fiindcă naţiunea şi împărăţia care nu îţi va servi, va pieri; da, acele naţiuni vor fi în întregime risipite.
13 The glory of Lebanon shall come to thee, the fir-tree, the pine-tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
Gloria Libanului va veni la tine, bradul, pinul şi merişorul împreună, pentru a înfrumuseţa locul sanctuarului meu; şi voi face glorios locul picioarelor mele.
14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending to thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
De asemenea fiii celor care te-au chinuit vor veni, plecându-se înaintea ta; şi toţi cei ce te-au dispreţuit se vor prosterna la tălpile picioarelor tale; şi te vor numi: Cetatea DOMNULUI, Sionul Celui Sfânt al lui Israel.
15 Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through [thee], I will make thee an eternal excellence, a joy of many generations.
Deşi ai fost părăsită şi urâtă, astfel încât nimeni nu a trecut prin tine, te voi face o maiestate eternă, o bucurie a multor generaţii.
16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD [am] thy Savior and thy Redeemer, the mighty one of Jacob.
De asemenea vei suge laptele neamurilor şi vei suge sânul împăraţilor şi vei cunoaşte că eu, DOMNUL, sunt salvatorul tău şi Răscumpărătorul tău, Cel puternic al lui Iacob.
17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thy exactors righteousness.
Pentru aramă eu voi aduce aur, şi pentru aur voi aduce argint, şi pentru lemn, aramă, şi pentru pietre, fier; de asemenea voi face pe ofiţerii tăi pace şi pe colectorii de taxe, dreptate.
18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
Violenţă nu va mai fi auzită în ţara ta, nici risipire nici distrugere între graniţele tale; dar tu vei numi zidurile tale Salvare, şi porţile tale Laudă.
19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light to thee: but the LORD will be to thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
Soarele nu îți va mai da lumina ziua, nici luna nu îți va da lumina prin strălucire, ci DOMNUL îţi va fi o lumină veşnică, şi Dumnezeul tău, gloria ta.
20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD will be thy everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
Soarele tău nu va mai apune; nici luna ta nu se va retrage, fiindcă DOMNUL va fi a ta veşnică lumină şi zilele jelirii tale se vor sfârşi.
21 Thy people also [shall be] all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
Poporul tău de asemenea, ei toţi vor fi drepţi, vor moşteni ţara pentru totdeauna, lăstarul sădirii mele, lucrarea mâinilor mele, ca eu să fiu glorificat.
22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in its time.
Puţinul va deveni o mie şi unul tânăr o naţiune tare; eu, DOMNUL, voi grăbi aceasta la timpul ei.
