Isaiah 51
1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look to the rock [whence] ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit [whence] ye are digged.
੧ਹੇ ਧਰਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਵਾਲਿਓ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਲਣ ਵਾਲਿਓ, ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਣੋ! ਉਸ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਵੱਲ ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੱਢੇ ਗਏ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਖਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਵੱਲ ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੁੱਟੇ ਗਏ, ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰੋ!
2 Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah [that] bore you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
੨ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂਲ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰੋ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਦ ਉਹ ਇੱਕੋ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਇਆ।
3 For the LORD will comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
੩ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤਾਂ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਰਾਨਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਜਾੜ ਨੂੰ ਅਦਨ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁੱਕੀ ਭੂਮੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਗ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਬਣਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਅਨੰਦ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਨਾਲੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਭਜਨ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵੀ।
4 Hearken to me, my people; and give ear to me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.
੪ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ, ਮੇਰੀ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਦਿਓ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਕੌਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਕੰਨ ਲਾਓ! ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਲਈ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
5 My righteousness [is] near; my salvation is gone forth, and my arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on my arm shall they trust.
੫ਮੇਰਾ ਧਰਮ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਬਚਾਓ ਨਿੱਕਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਭੁਜਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਨਗੀਆਂ, ਟਾਪੂ ਮੇਰੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਭੁਜਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਸ ਰੱਖਣਗੇ।
6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall become old like a garment, and its inhabitants shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
੬ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਚੁੱਕੋ, ਅਤੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਮਾਰੋ, ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤਾਂ ਧੂੰਏਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਅਲੋਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀ ਮੱਖੀਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਮਰ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਪਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਧਰਮ ਅਨੰਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
7 Hearken to me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart [is] my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
੭ਹੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਿਓ, ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਣੋ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਹੈ। ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿੰਦਿਆ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਡਰੋ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਰਬਚਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਾ ਘਬਰਾਓ,
8 For the moth shall eat them like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
੮ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਕੀੜਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਖਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਲੇਹਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਨ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਖਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਪਰ ਮੇਰਾ ਧਰਮ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਓਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਤੱਕ।
9 Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. [Art] thou not that which hath cut Rahab, [and] wounded the dragon?
੯ਜਾਗ, ਜਾਗ, ਬਲ ਪਹਿਨ ਲੈ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਭੁਜਾ! ਜਾਗ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪੁਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ! ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਰਹਬ ਨੂੰ ਟੁੱਕੜੇ-ਟੁੱਕੜੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਅਜਗਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ?
10 [Art] thou not that which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?
੧੦ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ, ਵੱਡੀ ਡੁੰਘਿਆਈ ਦਿਆਂ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ? ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਤਹਿ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਡਾਏ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਦੇ ਲੰਘਣ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ?
11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing to Zion; and everlasting joy [shall be] upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
੧੧ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਲ ਨਾਲ ਛੁਡਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਮੁੜ ਆਉਣਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਜੈਕਾਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣਗੇ, ਸਦੀਪਕ ਅਨੰਦ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਸੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਉਂਕੇ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
12 I, [even] I, [am] he that comforteth you: who [art] thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man [that] shall die, and of the son of man [who] shall be made [as] grass;
੧੨ਮੈਂ, ਮੈਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਕੌਣ ਹੈਂ ਜੋ ਮਰਨਹਾਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਡਰੇਂ, ਅਤੇ ਆਦਮ ਵੰਸ਼ ਤੋਂ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਘਾਹ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ?
13 And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where [is] the fury of the oppressor?
੧੩ਤੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜੋ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦਾ ਤਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਨਿੱਤ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਜ਼ਾਲਮ ਦੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ, - ਭਲਾ, ਜ਼ਾਲਮ ਦਾ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਰਿਹਾ?
14 The captive exile hasteneth that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail.
੧੪ਝੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਕੈਦੀ ਛੇਤੀ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਮਰ ਕੇ ਟੋਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਨਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਟੀ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
15 But I [am] the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts [is] his name.
੧੫ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਛਾਲਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਹਿਰਾਂ ਗੱਜਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, - ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ!
16 And I have put my words in thy mouth, and have covered thee in the shade of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, Thou [art] my people.
੧੬ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਏ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਸਾਯੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਢੱਕਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਹ ਰੱਖਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਹੈਂ।
17 Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drank at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drank the dregs of the cup of trembling, [and] wrung [them] out.
੧੭ਹੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਜਾਗ, ਜਾਗ! ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਜਾ! ਤੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਪੀਤਾ, ਤੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਡਗਮਗਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਿਆਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੀ ਕੇ ਖਾਲੀ ਕੀਤਾ।
18 [There is] none to guide her among all the sons [whom] she hath brought forth; neither [is there any] that taketh her by the hand of all the sons [that] she hath brought up.
੧੮ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਾਲਿਆ, ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਫੜ੍ਹੇ।
19 These two [things] have come to thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee?
੧੯ਇਹ ਦੋ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆ ਪਈਆਂ, ਕੌਣ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਤਸੱਲੀ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ? ਬਰਬਾਦੀ ਤੇ ਭੰਨ ਤੋੜ, ਕਾਲ ਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਆ ਪਈ, ਮੈਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ਦਿਆਂ?
20 Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.
੨੦ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬੇਹੋਸ਼ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹਿਰਨ ਜਾਲ਼ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ, ਤੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਝਿੜਕ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
21 Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:
੨੧ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੇ ਦੁਖਿਆਰੀਏ, ਇਹ ਸੁਣ, ਤੂੰ ਮਤਵਾਲੀ ਤਾਂ ਹੈਂ ਪਰ ਮਧ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ।
22 Thus saith thy Lord Jehovah, and thy God [that] pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thy hand the cup of trembling, [even] the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:
੨੨ਤੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਦਾ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਲੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਵੇਖ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਡਗਮਗਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਲਾ, ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਫੇਰ ਕਦੀ ਨਾ ਪੀਵੇਂਗੀ।
23 But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; who have said to thy soul, Prostrate thyself, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.
੨੩ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ਝੁੱਕ ਜਾ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਉੱਪਰੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘੀਏ! ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਿੱਠ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੰਘਣ ਲਈ ਗਲੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
