Isaiah 51
1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look to the rock [whence] ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit [whence] ye are digged.
೧ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಕ್ತರೇ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ನೀವು ಯಾವ ಬಂಡೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಒಡೆದು ತೆಗೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರೋ, ಯಾವ ಗುಂಡಿಯಿಂದ ಅಗೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರೋ ಆ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನೋಡಿರಿ.
2 Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah [that] bore you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
೨ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃವಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನನ್ನೂ, ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತ ಸಾರಳನ್ನೂ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿರಿ. ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಇದ್ದಾಗ ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು, ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ಅವನ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದೆನು.
3 For the LORD will comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
೩ಯೆಹೋವನು ಚೀಯೋನನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸುವನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಳು ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸುಧಾರಿಸಿ, ಕಾಡುನೆಲವನ್ನು ಏದೆನ್ ಉದ್ಯಾನದಂತೆಯೂ, ಬೀಳುಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ವನದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕಂಗೊಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವನು. ಹರ್ಷ, ಉಲ್ಲಾಸ, ಸ್ತೋತ್ರ, ಗಾನಧ್ವನಿ ಇವು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವವು.
4 Hearken to me, my people; and give ear to me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.
೪“ನನ್ನ ಜನರೇ, ಆಲಿಸಿರಿ! ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೇ, ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ! ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶವು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವುದು, ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವೆನು.
5 My righteousness [is] near; my salvation is gone forth, and my arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on my arm shall they trust.
೫ನನ್ನ ರಕ್ಷಣಾಧರ್ಮದ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿದೆ, ನನ್ನ ವಿಮೋಚನಕ್ರಿಯೆಯು ತಲೆದೋರಿದೆ, ನನ್ನ ಹಸ್ತವು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವುದು, ದ್ವೀಪನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಹಸ್ತಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾದಿರುವರು.
6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall become old like a garment, and its inhabitants shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
೬ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆತ್ತಿ ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿರಿ, ಕೆಳಗೆ ಭೂಮಂಡಲವನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿರಿ. ಆಕಾಶವು ಹೊಗೆಯಂತೆ ಚದರಿ ಹೋಗುವುದು, ಭೂಮಿಯು ಹಳೆಯ ವಸ್ತ್ರದಂತಾಗುವುದು, ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಸೊಳ್ಳೆಗಳೋಪಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುವರು. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ವಿಮೋಚನಕ್ರಿಯೆಯೋ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದು, ನನ್ನ ರಕ್ಷಣಾಧರ್ಮದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಭಂಗವೇ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
7 Hearken to me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart [is] my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
೭ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನರಿತು ನನ್ನ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಜನರೇ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ, ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ದೂರಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಅವರ ದೂಷಣೆಗೆ ಅಂಜದಿರಿ.
8 For the moth shall eat them like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
೮ನುಸಿಯು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಂತೆ ತಿಂದುಹಾಕುವುದು, ಹುಳವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಉಣ್ಣೆಯಂತೆ ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುವುದು. ನನ್ನ ರಕ್ಷಣಧರ್ಮದ ಕಾರ್ಯವೋ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದು. ನನ್ನ ವಿಮೋಚನ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಯು ತಲತಲಾಂತರಕ್ಕೂ ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದು.”
9 Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. [Art] thou not that which hath cut Rahab, [and] wounded the dragon?
೯ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭುಜವೇ, ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳ್ಳು, ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಂಡು, ಬಲವನ್ನು ತಂದುಕೋ! ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ, ತಲಾಂತರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಂಡಂತೆ ಈಗಲೂ ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತುಕೋ, ರಹಬನ್ನು ಛೇದಿಸಿ ಘಟಸರ್ಪವನ್ನು ತಿವಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟವನು ನೀನಲ್ಲವೋ?
10 [Art] thou not that which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?
೧೦ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನೂ, ಮಹಾಸಾಗರದ ಜಲರಾಶಿಯನ್ನೂ ಬತ್ತಿಸಿ ವಿಮುಕ್ತ ಜನರು ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ, ಸಮುದ್ರದ ತಳವನ್ನು ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದವನು ನೀನಲ್ಲವೋ?
11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing to Zion; and everlasting joy [shall be] upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
೧೧ಯೆಹೋವನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿದವರು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಸಂತೋಷವೆಂಬ ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಉತ್ಸಾಹಧ್ವನಿಯೊಡನೆ ಚೀಯೋನಿಗೆ ಸೇರುವರು. ಹರ್ಷಾನಂದಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವರು, ಮೊರೆಯೂ ಕರಕರೆಯೂ ತೊಲಗಿಹೋಗುವವು.
12 I, [even] I, [am] he that comforteth you: who [art] thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man [that] shall die, and of the son of man [who] shall be made [as] grass;
೧೨ನಾನೇ, ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸುವವನು. ಮರ್ತ್ಯಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ, ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಗತಿಗೆ ಬರುವ ನರಜನ್ಮದವನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವ ನೀನು ಎಂಥವನು?
13 And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where [is] the fury of the oppressor?
೧೩ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲವನ್ನು ಹರಡಿ, ಭೂಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಟ್ಟೆಯಾ? ನಾಶಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬಾಣವನ್ನು ಹೂಡುವ ಹಿಂಸಕನ ಕ್ರೋಧಕ್ಕೆ ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಡೆಬಿಡದೆ ಅಂಜುತ್ತೀಯಾ? ಆ ಹಿಂಸಕನ ಕ್ರೋಧವು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ?
14 The captive exile hasteneth that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail.
೧೪ಸೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಗ್ಗಿರುವವನು ಸಾಯನು, ಪಾತಾಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿಯನು, ಬೇಗನೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುವನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನದ ಕೊರತೆಯೇ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
15 But I [am] the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts [is] his name.
೧೫ಅಲೆಗಳು ಭೋರ್ಗರೆಯುವಷ್ಟು ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ರೇಗಿಸುವ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಾನೇ, ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂಬುದೇ ನನ್ನ ನಾಮಧೇಯ.
16 And I have put my words in thy mouth, and have covered thee in the shade of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, Thou [art] my people.
೧೬ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ, ಭೂಲೋಕವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ, ಚೀಯೋನಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಜನರು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು, ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯ ನೆರಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುದುಗಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
17 Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drank at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drank the dregs of the cup of trembling, [and] wrung [them] out.
೧೭ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ರೋಷವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಕುಡಿದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮೇ, ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತುಕೋ, ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತುಕೋ, ಎದ್ದುನಿಲ್ಲು! ಭ್ರಮಣಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಆ ಪಾನದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ತೊಟ್ಟನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿಸದೆ ಕುಡಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಿ.
18 [There is] none to guide her among all the sons [whom] she hath brought forth; neither [is there any] that taketh her by the hand of all the sons [that] she hath brought up.
೧೮ಅವಳು ಹೆತ್ತ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವವನು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಸಾಕಿದ ಆ ಸಕಲ ಕುಮಾರರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಳ ಕೈ ಹಿಡಿಯುವವನು ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
19 These two [things] have come to thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee?
೧೯ನಿನಗೆ ಈ ಎರಡು ಬಾಧೆಗಳು ಬಂದಿವೆ, ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಸಂತಾಪವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರಿದ್ದಾರೆ? ನಾಶವೋ, ಸಂಹಾರವೋ, ಕ್ಷಾಮವೋ, ಶಕ್ತಿಯೋ. ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೇಗೆ ಸಂತೈಸಲಿ?
20 Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.
೨೦ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆತಪ್ಪಿದವರಾಗಿ ಬಲೆಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಜಿಂಕೆಗಳಂತೆ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಚೌಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯೆಹೋವನ ರೋಷವನ್ನೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
21 Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:
೨೧ನೀನು ಹಿಂಸೆಗೊಳಗಾಗಿದ್ದಿ. ಕುಡಿದು ಅಮಲೇರಿದ್ದಿ. ಆದರೆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸದಿಂದಲ್ಲ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಈಗ ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳು.
22 Thus saith thy Lord Jehovah, and thy God [that] pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thy hand the cup of trembling, [even] the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:
೨೨ನಿನ್ನ ಕರ್ತನೂ, ತನ್ನ ಜನರ ಪಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡುವ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರೂ ಆದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ಇಗೋ, ಭ್ರಮಣಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಪಾನದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ, ನನ್ನ ರೋಷದಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿರುವ ಬಟ್ಟಲನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುವೆನು. ಅದನ್ನು ನೀನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
23 But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; who have said to thy soul, Prostrate thyself, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.
೨೩ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸುವವರ ಕೈಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನು. ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ, ‘ನೀನು ಬಿದ್ದುಕೋ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತುಳಿಯುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗುವೆವು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು, ನೀನು ಹಾದುಹೋಗುವ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬೆನ್ನನ್ನು ನೆಲವನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಬೀದಿಯ ಮಣ್ಣನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡೆಯಲ್ಲಾ.”
