Isaiah 47
1 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: [there is] no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
“Desça e sente-se no pó, virgem filha da Babilônia. Sente-se no chão sem um trono, filha dos caldeus. Pois você não será mais chamado de terno e delicado.
2 Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.
Pegue as mós e moa a farinha. Tire o véu, levante a saia, descubra suas pernas, e percorrem os rios.
3 Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yes, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet [thee as] a man.
Sua nudez será revelada. Sim, sua vergonha será vista. Eu vou me vingar, e não poupará ninguém”.
4 [As for] our Redeemer, the LORD of hosts [is] his name, the Holy One of Israel.
Nosso Redentor, Yahweh dos Exércitos é seu nome, é o Santo de Israel.
5 Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.
“Sente-se em silêncio, e entre na escuridão, filha dos caldeus. Pois você não será mais chamado a dona dos reinos.
6 I was wroth with my people, I have polluted my inheritance, and given them into thy hand: thou didst show them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.
Eu estava com raiva do meu povo. Eu profanei minha herança e os entregou em suas mãos. Você não lhes mostrou misericórdia. Você colocou um jugo muito pesado sobre os idosos.
7 And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: [so] that thou didst not lay these [things] to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.
Você disse: 'Eu serei uma princesa para sempre'. de modo que você não tenha deixado essas coisas no seu coração, nem se lembrou dos resultados.
8 Therefore hear now this, [thou that art] given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thy heart, I [am], and none else besides me; I shall not sit [as] a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
“Agora, portanto, escutem isto, vocês que são dados aos prazeres, que se sentam em segurança, que dizem em seu coração, Eu sou, e não há mais ninguém além de mim”. Eu não me sentarei como viúva, nem conhecerei a perda de filhos”.
9 But these two [things] shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection, for the multitude of thy sorceries, [and] for the great abundance of thy enchantments.
Mas estas duas coisas chegarão a você em um momento em um dia: a perda de filhos e da viuvez. Eles virão sobre você em sua total medida, na multidão de suas sorveterias, e a grande abundância de seus encantos.
10 For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thy heart, I [am], and none else besides me.
Pois você tem confiado em sua maldade. Você disse: “Ninguém me vê”. Sua sabedoria e seu conhecimento o perverteram. Você disse em seu coração: “Eu sou, e não há mais ninguém além de mim”.
11 Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, [which] thou shalt not know.
Portanto, o desastre virá sobre você. Você não saberá quando amanhecer. A malícia cairá sobre você. Você não poderá guardá-lo. A desolação virá sobre você de repente, o que você não entende.
12 Stand now with thy enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, in which thou hast labored from thy youth; if thou shalt be able to profit, if thou mayest prevail.
“Fique de pé agora com seus encantos e com a multidão de suas sorveterias, em que você trabalhou desde sua juventude, como se você pudesse lucrar, como se você pudesse prevalecer.
13 Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the star-gazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from [these things] that shall come upon thee.
Você está cansado na multidão de seus conselhos. Agora deixe que os astrólogos, os observadores de estrelas e os prognosticadores mensais se levantem e salvem você das coisas que acontecerão com você.
14 Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: [there shall] not [be] a coal to warm at, [nor] fire to sit before it.
Eis que eles são como restolho. O fogo vai queimá-los. Eles não se livrarão do poder da chama. Não será um carvão para aquecer em ou uma fogueira para sentar.
15 Thus shall they be to thee with whom thou hast labored, [even] thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.
As coisas em que você trabalhou serão assim: aqueles que traficaram com você desde sua juventude vagarão cada um à sua maneira. Não haverá ninguém para salvá-lo.
