< Isaiah 33 >

1 Woe to thee that layest waste, and thou [wast] not laid waste; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to lay waste, thou shalt be wasted; [and] when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.
Raphoenae kâhmo laipalah ouk ka raphoe e hoi dumnae kâhmo laipalah ouk ka dum e naw teh, a yawthoe awh. Nang ni na raphoe hnukkhu, nama hai raphoenae na kâhmo han.
2 O LORD, be gracious to us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.
Oe BAWIPA kaimouh hah na pahren haw. Kaimouh ni nang teh na ring awh. Amom karawitawi kaimae kut, runae kâhmo toteh kaimae rungngangkung lah awm haw.
3 At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered.
Ransanaw e lawk kecu dawk taminaw teh a yawng awh. Bawipa nang na thaw toteh, miphunnaw teh koung a kâkayei awh.
4 And your spoil shall be gathered [like] the gathering of the caterpillar: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.
Nangmae hnopainaw teh samtongnaw kamkhueng e patetlah lawp lah na o awh han. samtongnaw a kâtawm teh a cawkdawk awh e patetlah hotnaw e van vah a kâtawm awh vaiteh a yawng awh han.
5 The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.
BAWIPA teh tawm lah ao. Bangkongtetpawiteh, a rasangnae hmuen koe ao teh, Zion kho hah kângingnae hoi lannae hoi a kawi sak.
6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, [and] strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD [is] his treasure.
Bawipa teh nange tueng dawk na caknae, rungngangnae hnopai, lungangnae hoi panuenae lah ao han.
7 Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the embassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.
Khenhaw! Ahnimae ransanaw teh, lamthung dawkvah a hram awh. Lungmawngnae laiceinaw teh a khuika awh.
8 The highways lie waste, the way-faring man ceaseth: he hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth no man.
Lamthungnaw teh kingdi. Lamthung dawk kahlawng ka cet e awm hoeh. Lawkkam hah a raphoe awh toe. Khonaw hai a hnoun awh toe. Tami hah banglahai ngâi awh hoeh.
9 The earth mourneth [and] languisheth: Lebanon is ashamed [and] hewn down: Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel shake off [their fruits].
Ram teh a cingou teh, ayawmyin lah ao han. Lebanon kahrawng teh yeiraiponae hoi remke lah ao. Sharon hmuen teh kahrawngum patetlah ao. Bashan hoi Karmel mon dawk e thingkungnaw teh peng a sarut han.
10 Now will I rise, saith the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.
BAWIPA ni a dei e teh, atu kai ka thaw han. Atu kamahoima ka kâtawm han. Atu kai teh tawm e lah ka o han.
11 Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, [as] fire, shall devour you.
Nangmouh teh, cahik na vawn awh vaiteh, cakong hah na khe awh han. Nangmae kâha teh, hmai lah ao teh, namamouh na kak awh han.
12 And the people shall be [as] the burnings of lime: [as] thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.
Taminaw ni thungtalung hah hmai a raawng e patetlah thoseh, pâkhingkungnaw a bouk teh hmai a phum e patetlah thoseh ao han.
13 Ye [that are] far off, hear what I have done; and ye [that are] near, acknowledge my might.
Ahlanae koe e taminaw, kai ni ka sak e naw hah panuek awh haw. A hnainae koe e taminaw, kaie thaonae hah panuek awh haw.
14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
Zion kho e tamikayonnaw teh a taki awh. Cathut laipalah e taminaw teh, a tâlueng awh. Maimouh dawkvah, apimouh ka kang e hmai hoi kaawm thai han. Maimouh dawkvah, apimouh a yungyoe e hmai hoi kaawm thai han.
15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
Kalan lah ka cet niteh, kalan lah ka dei e, rektapnae lahoi hmu e hnopai hah a panuet teh, tadawnghno hah dâw hane hlak teh a kut kahek e, thi palawng hane pouknae hah tarawi hoeh nahanlah amae hnâ hah ka tabuem e, kathout hnonaw khet hoeh nahanelah, a mit ka tabuem e,
16 He shall dwell on high: his place of defense [shall be] the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters [shall be] sure.
hote tami teh a rasangnae koe a tahung han. Ahnie a kâuepnae teh, talungmon ramvengim lah ao han.
17 Thy eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.
Na mit ni siangpahrang e meihawinae hah hmawt vaiteh, ahlanae koe e ram hai a hmu han.
18 Thy heart shall meditate terror. Where [is] the scribe? where [is] the receiver? where [is] he that counted the towers?
Na lungthin ni taki ka tho e hah letlang a pouk toteh, ka parei e tami teh nâmouh ao va. Ka khing e tami teh nâmouh ao va. Imrasangnaw ka parei e tami teh nâmouh ao va.
19 Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of deeper speech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, [that thou canst] not understand.
Ka pathu e miphun, thai thai hoeh e lawk hah vaptivaptap lah ka pan niteh, panue thai hoeh e lawk ka pan e miphun hah na hmawt mahoeh toe.
20 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thy eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle [that] shall not be taken down; not one of its stakes shall ever be removed, neither shall any of its cords be broken.
Pawitonae kho Zion kho hah khenhaw! Khom buet touh boehai puen hoeh e, rui buet touh boehai ka pet hoeh e, kampuen thai hoeh e rim ti e, lungmawngnae im Jerusalem kho hah, nangmouh ni namamae mit hoi na hmu awh han.
21 But there the glorious LORD [will be] to us a place of broad rivers [and] streams; in which shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass through it.
Hote hmuen koe ka lentoe e BAWIPA teh, kakaw e palangnaw e hmuen lah ao han. hote hmuen koe tuisamlanae kaawm e long cet thai mahoeh. Atha kaawm e long hai cet thai mahoeh.
22 For the LORD [is] our judge, the LORD [is] our lawgiver, the LORD [is] our king; he will save us.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA teh maimae lawkcengkung lah ao. BAWIPA teh maimae kâlawknaw kapoekung lah ao. BAWIPA teh maimae siangpahrang lah ao teh, maimouh hah na rungngang han.
23 Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey.
Nange long hninaw arui athawk teh, hote hnikhomnaw hah kacaklah kawm thai hoeh, hni hai kadai thai hoeh. Hatnavah, hmu e hnonaw hah kârei awh han. Khokkhemnaw ni patenghai lawp e hnonaw hah bout a lawp awh han.
24 And the inhabitants shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein [shall be] forgiven [their] iniquity.
Haw kaawm e buet touh ni boehai, kai ka pataw, telah dei awh mahoeh. Hote hmuen koe kho ka sak e pueng teh, yon ngaithoum lah ao awh han.
