Isaiah 28
1 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty [is] a fading flower; who [are] on the head of the rich valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
౧ఎఫ్రాయీములో తాగుబోతులకు గర్వకారణంగా ఉన్న పూలమాలకు బాధ. వాడిపోతున్న పువ్వులాంటి అతడి ప్రాభవ సౌందర్యానికి బాధ. అది ద్రాక్షారసం వశంలోకి వెళ్ళిపోయిన వాళ్ళు నివసించే పచ్చని లోయ తలపై ఉన్న కిరీటం.
2 Behold, the LORD hath a mighty and strong one, [which] as a tempest of hail [and] a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
౨వినండి! శక్తిశాలీ, బలశాలీ అయిన ఒకడు ప్రభువుకి ఉన్నాడు. అతడు వడగళ్ళ లాంటి వాడు. అతడు వినాశనకారి అయిన తుఫాను వంటివాడు. ముంచెత్తే బలమైన జడివాన వంటివాడు. ఆయన తన చేతితో భూమిని కొడతాడు.
3 The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim shall be trodden under feet.
౩ఎఫ్రాయీములో తాగుబోతులకు గర్వకారణంగా ఉన్న కిరీటాన్ని కింద పడేసి కాళ్ళతో తొక్కుతారు.
4 And the glorious beauty, which [is] on the head of the rich valley, shall be a fading flower, [and] as the early fruit before the summer; which, [when] he that looketh upon it, seeth while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.
౪పచ్చని లోయ తలపై ఉన్న వాడిపోతున్న పువ్వులాంటి అతడి ప్రాభవ సౌందర్యం కోతకాలం రాకముందే పండిపోయిన మొదటి అంజూరపు పండులా ఉంటుంది. మొదట దాన్ని చూసినవాడు దాన్ని చేతిలోకి తీసుకున్న వెంటనే నోట్లో వేసుకుని మింగివేస్తాడు.
5 In that day will the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, to the residue of his people,
౫ఆ రోజున సేనల ప్రభువైన యెహోవా మిగిలి ఉన్న తన ప్రజలకు తానే అందమైన కిరీటంగానూ, అందమైన రాజ మకుటంగానూ ఉంటాడు.
6 And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.
౬ఆయన న్యాయం చెప్పడానికి న్యాయపీఠం పైన కూర్చున్న వాడికి న్యాయం నేర్పే ఆత్మగానూ, తమ ద్వారాల దగ్గర శత్రువులను తరిమి కొట్టే వాళ్లకి బలంగానూ ఉంటాడు.
7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are overwhelmed with wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble [in] judgment.
౭అయితే వీళ్ళు కూడా ద్రాక్షారసం తాగి తూలుతారు. మద్యపానం చేసి తడబడతారు. యాజకుడైనా, ప్రవక్త అయినా మద్యం తాగి తూలుతారు. ద్రాక్షారసం వాళ్ళని వశం చేసుకుంటుంది. మద్యపానం చేసి తడబడుతూ ఉంటారు. దర్శనం కలిగినప్పుడు తూలుతూ ఉంటారు. తీర్పు చెప్పాల్సి వచ్చినప్పుడు తడబడతారు.
8 For all tables are full of vomit [and] filthiness, [so that there is] no place [clean].
౮వాళ్ళు భోజనం చేసే బల్లలు అన్నీ వాంతితో నిండి ఉన్నాయి. శుభ్రమైన స్థలం అక్కడ కనిపించదు.
9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? [them that are] weaned from the milk, [and] drawn from the breasts.
౯వాడు జ్ఞానాన్ని ఎవరికి బోధిస్తాడు? వర్తమానాన్ని ఎవరికి వివరిస్తాడు? పాలు విడిచిన వాళ్ళకా? లేక తల్లి రొమ్ము విడిచిన వాళ్ళకా?
10 For precept [must be] upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little:
౧౦ఎందుకంటే “ఆజ్ఞ వెంట ఆజ్ఞ, ఆజ్ఞ వెంట ఆజ్ఞ, సూత్రం వెంట సూత్రం, సూత్రం వెంట సూత్రంగా, ఇక్కడ కొంచెం, అక్కడ కొంచెంగా ఉంటుంది.” అని వాళ్ళు అనుకుంటారు.
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
౧౧అప్పుడు ఆయన నిజంగానే వాళ్ళతో వెక్కిరించే పెదాలతో, విదేశీ భాషలో మాట్లాడతాడు.
12 To whom he said, This [is] the rest [with which] ye may cause the weary to rest; and this [is] the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
౧౨గతంలో ఆయన వాళ్ళతో “ఇది విశ్రాంతి స్థలం. అలసి పోయిన వాళ్ళని విశ్రాంతి తీసుకోనివ్వండి” అన్నాడు. కానీ వాళ్ళు వినలేదు. కాబట్టి వాళ్ళు వెళ్ళి వెనక్కి పడి, కుంగిపోయి, వలలో చిక్కుకుని, బందీలు అయ్యేలా యెహోవా మాట వాళ్లకి ఇలా వస్తుంది.
13 But the word of the LORD was to them, precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
౧౩“ఆజ్ఞ వెంట ఆజ్ఞ, ఆజ్ఞ వెంట ఆజ్ఞ, సూత్రం వెంట సూత్రం, సూత్రం వెంట సూత్రం, ఇక్కడ కొంచెం, అక్కడ కొంచెం.”
14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which [is] in Jerusalem.
౧౪కాబట్టి ఎగతాళి చేసేవాళ్ళూ, యెరూషలేములో ఈ ప్రజలను పాలించే వాళ్ళు, యెహోవా మాట వినండి.
15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we in agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not reach us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: (Sheol h7585)
౧౫మీరు ఇలా అన్నారు “మేం చావుతో నిబంధన చేసుకున్నాం. పాతాళంతో ఒక ఒప్పందానికి వచ్చాం. కాబట్టి కీడు ప్రవాహంలా వచ్చినా అది మమ్మల్ని తాకదు. ఎందుకంటే మేం అబద్ధాన్ని ఆశ్రయించాం. మిథ్య వెనుక దాక్కున్నాం.” (Sheol h7585)
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner [stone], a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
౧౬దానికి ప్రభువైన యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్తున్నాడు. “చూడండి, నేను సీయోనులో ఒక పునాది రాయి వేస్తాను. అది పరిశోధనకి గురైన రాయి. ఒక ప్రశస్తమైన మూలరాయిని వేస్తాను. అది దృఢమైన పునాది రాయి. విశ్వాసం ఉంచే వాడు సిగ్గుపడడు.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding-place.
౧౭నేను న్యాయాన్ని కొలబద్దగానూ, నీతిని ఒడంబంగానూ చేస్తాను. వడగళ్ళు మీ అబద్దాలనే ఆశ్రయాన్ని తుడిచి పెట్టేస్తాయి. మీరు దాగి ఉన్న చోటును వరద నీళ్ళు ముంచెత్తుతాయి.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. (Sheol h7585)
౧౮చావుతో మీరు చేసుకున్న నిబంధనను రద్దు చేస్తాను. పాతాళంతో మీరు చేసుకున్న ఒప్పందం చెల్లదు. వరద ప్రవాహంలా విపత్తు మీకు పైగా దాటినప్పుడు మీరు ఉక్కిరిబిక్కిరి అవుతారు. (Sheol h7585)
19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only [to] understand the report.
౧౯అవి వచ్చినప్పుడల్లా మిమ్మల్ని ముంచెత్తి వేస్తాయి. ప్రతి ఉదయమూ, ప్రతి పగలూ, ప్రతి రాత్రీ అది వస్తుంది. ఈ వార్త అర్థం అయినప్పుడు అది మహాభయాన్ని కలిగిస్తుంది.
20 For the bed is shorter than that [a man] can stretch himself [on it]: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself [in it].
౨౦పడుకుని కాళ్ళు చాపుకోడానికి మంచం పొడవు చాలదు. కప్పుకోడానికి దుప్పటి వెడల్పు చాలదు.
21 For the LORD will rise as [on] mount Perazim, he will be wroth as [in] the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
౨౧యెహోవా తన పనిని జరిగించడానికి, ఆశ్చర్యకరమైన తన పనిని చేయడానికి, విచిత్రమైన తన పనిని జరిగించడానికి పెరాజీము పర్వతం పైన లేచినట్టుగా లేస్తాడు. గిబియోను లోయలో ఆయన తనను తాను రెచ్చగొట్టుకున్నట్టుగా లేస్తాడు.
22 Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the LORD God of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.
౨౨కాబట్టి పరిహాసం చేయకండి. లేకుంటే మీ సంకెళ్ళు మరింతగా బిగుసుకుంటాయి. సేనల ప్రభువైన యెహోవా నుండి భూమిపైన నాశనం జరుగుతుందనే సమాచారం నేను విన్నాను.
23 Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.
౨౩కాబట్టి మనస్సు పెట్టి నేను చెప్పేది వినండి. జాగ్రత్తగా నా మాటలు ఆలకించండి.
24 Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?
౨౪రైతు విత్తడానికి ఎప్పుడూ పొలం దున్నుతూనే ఉంటాడా? ఎప్పుడూ పొలంలో మట్టి పెళ్లలను పగలగొడుతూ ఉంటాడా?
25 When he hath made even the face of it, doth he not cast abroad the vetches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat, and the appointed barley, and the rye in their place?
౨౫అతడు నేలను చదును చేసిన తర్వాత సోపు గింజలు చల్లడా? జీలకర్ర చల్లడా? గోధుమలు వరుసల్లో, బార్లీ సరైన స్థలంలో వేసి చేను అంచుల్లో మిరప మొక్కలు నాటడా?
26 For his God doth instruct him to discretion, [and] doth teach him.
౨౬అతడి దేవుడే అతడికి ఆ క్రమాన్ని నేర్పించాడు. ఎలా చేయాలో జ్ఞానంతో అతనికి బోధించాడు.
27 For the vetches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart-wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the vetches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.
౨౭జీలకర్రను యంత్రంలో ఉంచి నూర్చారు. జీలకర్ర పై బండి చక్రాన్ని దొర్లించరు. కానీ సోపుని చువ్వతో, జీలకర్రను కర్రతో దుళ్ళకొడతారు.
28 Bread -[corn] is bruised; because he will not always be threshing it, nor break [it with] the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it [with] his horsemen.
౨౮మనుషులు రొట్టెల కోసం గోధుమలను నూర్చి పిండి చేస్తారు. కానీ అదేపనిగా గోధుమలను పిండి చేస్తూనే ఉండరు కదా! గోధుమలను దుళ్ళగొట్టడానికి గుర్రాలనూ బండి చక్రాలనూ నడిపిస్తారు గానీ దాన్ని పిండి చేయడానికి కాదు కదా!
29 This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, [who] is wonderful in counsel, [and] excellent in operation.
౨౯దీన్ని కూడా మనుషులకు సేనల ప్రభువైన యెహోవా నేర్పిస్తున్నాడు. ఆయన బోధ అద్భుతంగానూ ఆయన ఆలోచన శ్రేష్టంగానూ ఉంటుంది.”
