Isaiah 11
1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots:
Un brote saldrá del tronco de Isaí, y una rama de sus raíces dará fruto.
2 And the spirit of the LORD will rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
El Espíritu de Yahvé descansará sobre él: el espíritu de la sabiduría y el entendimiento, el espíritu del consejo y la fuerza, el espíritu del conocimiento y del temor de Yahvé.
3 And will make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he will not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
Su deleite estará en el temor de Yahvé. No juzgará por la vista de sus ojos, ni decidir por el oído;
4 But with righteousness will he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he will smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips will he slay the wicked.
pero juzgará a los pobres con justicia, y decide con equidad para los humildes de la tierra. Golpeará la tierra con la vara de su boca; y con el aliento de sus labios matará a los malvados.
5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
La justicia será el cinturón de su cintura, y la fidelidad el cinturón alrededor de su cintura.
6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
El lobo vivirá con el cordero, y el leopardo se acostará con el cabrito, el ternero, el león joven y el ternero cebado juntos; y un niño pequeño los guiará.
7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
La vaca y el oso pastarán. Sus crías se acostarán juntas. El león comerá paja como el buey.
8 And the suckling child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the den of the basilisk.
El niño lactante jugará cerca del agujero de una cobra, y el niño destetado pondrá su mano en la guarida de la víbora.
9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
No harán daño ni destruirán en todo mi santo monte; porque la tierra estará llena del conocimiento de Yahvé, como las aguas cubren el mar.
10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
Sucederá en ese día que las naciones buscarán la raíz de Isaí, que se erige como estandarte de los pueblos; y su lugar de descanso será glorioso.
11 And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the LORD will set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the isles of the sea.
Sucederá en ese día que el Señor volverá a poner su mano por segunda vez para recuperar el remanente que queda de su pueblo de Asiria, de Egipto, de Patros, de Cus, de Elam, de Sinar, de Hamat y de las islas del mar.
12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
Él levantará un estandarte para las naciones, y reunirá a los desterrados de Israel, y reunirá a los dispersos de Judá desde los cuatro rincones de la tierra.
13 The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not distress Ephraim.
También la envidia de Efraín se alejará, y los que persiguen a Judá serán eliminados. Efraín no envidiará a Judá, y Judá no perseguirá a Efraín.
14 But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines towards the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.
Volarán sobre los hombros de los filisteos en el oeste. Juntos saquearán a los hijos del este. Extenderán su poder sobre Edom y Moab, y los hijos de Amón les obedecerán.
15 And the LORD will utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind will he shake his hand over the river, and will smite it in the seven streams, and make [men] go over dry shod.
El Señor destruirá por completo la lengua del mar egipcio, y con su viento abrasador agitará su mano sobre el río, lo dividirá en siete arroyos y hará que los hombres marchen con sandalias.
16 And there shall be a highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; as it was to Israel in the day that he came up from the land of Egypt.
Habrá un camino para el remanente que quede de su pueblo desde Asiria, como lo hubo para Israel el día que subió de la tierra de Egipto.
