Hosea 8
1 [Set] the trumpet to thy mouth. [He shall come] as an eagle against the house of the LORD, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.
“ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ತುತೂರಿಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೋ. ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ, ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಅಪರಾಧ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಹದ್ದಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರುವರು.
2 Israel shall cry to me, My God, we know thee.
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನವರು, ‘ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದೇವೆ,’ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಕೂಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
3 Israel hath cast off [the thing that is] good: the enemy shall pursue him.
ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಒಬ್ಬ ಶತ್ರುವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುವನು.
4 They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew [it] not: of their silver and their gold have they made for themselves idols, that they may be cut off.
ಅವರು ಅರಸರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನಿಂದಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಅನುಮತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ರಾಜಕುಮಾರರನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ತಾವು ನಾಶವಾಗುವಂತೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯಿಂದಲೂ, ತಮ್ಮ ಬಂಗಾರದಿಂದಲೂ ತಮಗೆ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
5 Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast [thee] off; my anger is kindled against them: how long [will it be] ere they attain to innocence?
ಸಮಾರ್ಯವೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಬಸವ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಬಿಸಾಡಿಬಿಡು. ನನ್ನ ಕೋಪವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಉರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವರು ಎಷ್ಟು ಕಾಲ ಶುದ್ಧತೆಗೆ ಅಸಮರ್ಥರಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ?
6 For from Israel [was] it also: the workman made it; therefore it [is] not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.
ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದವರು. ಕಮ್ಮಾರನು ಈ ಬಸವ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅದು ದೇವರಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಬಸವನನ್ನು ಚೂರುಚೂರಾಗುವುದು.
7 For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if it shall yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.
“ಅವರು ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಪೈರು ತೆನೆಗೆ ಬಾರದು. ಮೊಳಕೆಯು ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಅದು ಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ ವಿದೇಶಿಯರು ಅದನ್ನು ನುಂಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.
8 Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel in which [is] no pleasure.
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಕಬಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವರು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಡವಾದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.
9 For they have gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.
ಅವರು ಒಂಟಿಯಾದ ಕಾಡುಕತ್ತೆಯ ಹಾಗೆ ಅಸ್ಸೀರಿಯಗೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮು ಪ್ರೇಮಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಾರಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.
10 Yes, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes.
ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮಾರಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾನು ಈಗ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸುವೆನು. ಅವರು ಪ್ರಬಲ ಅರಸನ ಹಿಂಸೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುವರು.
11 Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be to him to sin.
“ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮು ಪಾಪ ಪರಿಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರೂ, ಈ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳೇ ಅವರ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿವೆ.
12 I have written to him the great things of my law, [but] they were counted as a strange thing.
ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ನಿಯಮದ ಅನೇಕ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯವಾದವುಗಳೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿದನು.
13 They sacrifice flesh [for] the sacrifices of my offerings, and eat [it]; [but] the LORD accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.
ಅವರು ಯಜ್ಞದ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಬಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳಿಂದ ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಈಗ ಅವರ ಅಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅವರ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ಈಜಿಪ್ಟಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವರು.
14 For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fortified cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಅರಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಯೆಹೂದವು ಸಹ ಕೋಟೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚುಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಅದರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು. ಅದು ಅವರ ಕೋಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುವುದು.”
