< Hosea 5 >
1 Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment [is] towards you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
“Muntie, mo asɔfo! Monhyɛ eyi nso, mo Israelfo! Monyɛ asow, adehyefi! Saa atemmu yi tia mo: Moayɛ afiri wɔ Mispa, ne asau a wɔagu no Tabor so.
2 And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I [have been] a rebuker of them all.
Atuatewfo adɔ mogyahwiegu mu asukɔ. Mɛtwe wɔn nyinaa aso.
3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou art guilty of lewdness, [and] Israel is defiled.
Minim Efraim ho nsɛm nyinaa; wɔmfaa Israel nhintaw me ɛ. Efraim, mprempren de wobɔ aguaman; na Israel aporɔw.
4 They will not frame their doings to turn to their God: for the spirit of lewdness [is] in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.
“Wɔn nneyɛe mma wɔ kwan mma wɔnnkɔ Nyankopɔn nkyɛn. Aguamammɔ honhom wɔ wɔn koma mu; wonnye Awurade nto mu.
5 And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.
Israel ahantan di tia no. Israelfo no, mpo Efraim hintihintiw wɔ wɔn amumɔyɛ mu; Yuda nso ne wɔn hintiw saa ara.
6 They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find [him]; he hath withdrawn himself from them.
Sɛ wɔne wɔn nguan ne wɔn anantwi kɔhwehwɛ Awurade a Wɔrenhu no, efisɛ watwe ne ho afi wɔn ho.
7 They have dealt treacherously against the LORD: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.
Wɔanni Awurade nokware. Wɔwowoo aguaman mma. Sɛ wodi wɔn Ɔsram Foforo Afahyɛ a, ɔbɛsɛe wɔn nsase.
8 Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, [and] the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud [at] Beth-aven, after thee, O Benjamin.
“Hyɛn torobɛnto no wɔ Gibea. Hyɛn mmɛn no wɔ Rama. Momma ɔko nteɛmu so wɔ Bet Awen; Benyamin, monsɔre nni anim.
9 Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.
Efraim bɛda mpan wɔ akontaabu da. Israel mmusuakuw no mu no mepae mu ka nea ɛwɔ mu.
10 The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: [therefore] I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
Yuda sodifo no te sɛ wɔn a woyiyi ahye so abo. Mehwie mʼabufuw agu wɔn so te sɛ nsuyiri.
11 Ephraim [is] oppressed [and] broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.
Wɔhyɛ Efraim so, wotiatia ne so wɔ atemmu mu, wasi nʼadwene pi sɛ obedi ahoni akyi.
12 Therefore [will] I [be] to Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.
Mɛyɛ sɛ nwewee ama Efraim na mayɛ Yudafo sɛ dua a aporɔw.
13 When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah [saw] his wound, then Ephraim went to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet he could not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.
“Bere a Efraim huu ne yare, na Yuda nso huu nʼakuru no, Efraim de nʼani kyerɛɛ Asiria. Ɔsoma kɔɔ ɔhenkɛse no hɔ kɔpɛɛ mmoa. Nanso wantumi ansa no yare, na akuru no nso anwuwu.
14 For I [will be] to Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, [even] I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue [him].
Enti mɛyɛ sɛ gyata ama Efraim na mayɛ sɛ gyata hoɔdenfo ama Yuda. Mɛtetew wɔn mu nketenkete, na makɔ; Mɛsoa wɔn akɔ, na obiara rentumi nnye wɔn.
15 I will go [and] return to my place, till they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
Afei mɛsan akɔ me nkyi kosi sɛ wobenya ahonu. Na wɔbɛhwehwɛ mʼakyi kwan; wɔn awerɛhow mu, wɔbɛhwehwɛ me anibere so.”
