Hosea 11
1 When Israel [was] a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.
Cuando Israel era un muchacho, Yo lo amé, y de Egipto llamé a mi hijo.
2 [As] they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed to Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.
Cuanto más los llamaba, tanto más se alejaban de mi Presencia. Continuaban los sacrificios a los baales y quemaban incienso a los ídolos.
3 I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them.
Pero fui Yo Quien enseñó a andar a Efraín. Los tomé por sus brazos. Sin embargo, no reconocieron que Yo los sanaba.
4 I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid food for them.
Los atraje con cuerdas humanas, con correas de amor. Fui para ellos como el que quita el yugo de su nuca. Me incliné y los alimenté.
5 He shall not return into the land of Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.
No regresará a la tierra de Egipto, pero el asirio será su rey, porque rehusaron convertirse.
6 And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour [them], because of their own counsels.
La espada blandirá contra sus ciudades, y demolerá los cerrojos de sus puertas, porque siguieron sus propios planes.
7 And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt [him].
Mi pueblo está inclinado a apartarse de Mí. Aunque me llaman el Altísimo, ninguno en absoluto me exalta.
8 How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? [how] shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? [how] shall I set thee as Zeboim? my heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.
¿Cómo puedo abandonarte, oh Efraín? ¿Cómo puedo entregarte, oh Israel? ¿Cómo puedo hacerte como Adma? ¿Cómo puedo tratarte como a Zeboim? Se me conmueve el corazón dentro de Mí, se enternece toda mi compasión.
9 I will not execute the fierceness of my anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I [am] God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.
No me volveré para destruir a Efraín, por cuanto Yo soy ʼEL, y no hombre, el Santo en medio de ti, y no vendré con furor.
10 They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.
Caminarán tras Yavé. Él rugirá como un león. Cuando ruja, sus hijos vendrán temblorosos desde occidente.
11 They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD.
Desde Egipto vendrán temblorosos como pájaros, desde la tierra de Asiria, como palomas, y vivirán en sus casas, dice Yavé.
12 Ephraim encompasseth me with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints.
Efraín me rodeó de mentiras, la Casa de Israel, de falsedad. Judá aún divaga contra ʼEL, contra el Santo, Quien es Fiel.
