Hebrews 1
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,
Dieu, qui a parlé autrefois à nos pères par les prophètes, bien souvent et en bien des manières, dernièrement,
2 Hath in these last days spoken to us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; (aiōn g165)
En ces jours, nous a parlé par son Fils, qu’il a établi héritier en toutes choses, par qui il a fait même les siècles; (aiōn g165)
3 Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself made purification of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Et qui étant la splendeur de sa gloire et l’empreinte de sa substance, et soutenant toutes choses par la puissance de sa parole, après avoir opéré la purification des péchés, est assis à la droite de la Majesté, au plus haut des cieux.
4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Ayant été fait d’autant supérieur aux anges, que le nom qu’il a reçu en partage est bien différent du leur.
5 For to which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
Car auquel des anges Dieu a-t-il jamais dit: Vous êtes mon Fils, je vous ai engendré aujourd’hui? Et encore: Moi je serai son Père, et lui sera mon Fils?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the first-begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
Et lorsqu’il introduit de nouveau son premier-né dans le monde, il dit: Et que tous les anges de Dieu l’adorent.
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
À la vérité, l’Ecriture dit touchant les anges: Qui fait de ses anges des vents, et de ses ministres une flamme de feu;
8 But to the Son, [he saith], Thy throne, O God, [is] for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness [is] the scepter of thy kingdom. (aiōn g165)
Mais au Fils: Votre trône, ô Dieu, est dans les siècles des siècles; un sceptre d’équité est le sceptre de votre empire. (aiōn g165)
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, [even] thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Vous avez aimé la justice et haï l’iniquité: c’est pourquoi Dieu, votre Dieu, vous a oint d’huile de joie, plus qu’il ne l’a fait à ceux qui ont été oints avec vous.
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the works of thy hands.
Puis: C’est vous. Seigneur, qui au commencement avez fondé la terre; et les cieux sont l’ouvrage de vos mains.
11 They shall perish; but thou remainest: and they all shall become old as doth a garment;
Ils périront, mais vous, vous demeurerez, et tous vieilliront comme un vêtement;
12 And as a vesture wilt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed; but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
Et vous les changerez comme un manteau, et ils seront changés; mais vous, vous êtes toujours le même, et vos années ne finiront point.
13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thy enemies thy footstool?
Aussi, auquel des anges a-t-il jamais dit: Asseyez-vous à ma droite, jusqu’à ce que je fasse de vos ennemis l’escabeau de vos pieds?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall inherit salvation?
Ne sont-ils pas tous des esprits chargés d’un ministère, et envoyés pour l’exercer en faveur de ceux qui recueilleront l’héritage du salut?
