Hebrews 12
1 Wherefore, seeing we also are encompassed with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
इसलिये जब हमारे चारों ओर गवाहों का ऐसा विशाल बादल छाया हुआ है, हम भी हर एक रुकावट तथा पाप से, जो हमें अपने फंदे में उलझा लेता है, छूटकर अपने लिए निर्धारित दौड़ में धीरज के साथ आगे बढ़ते जाएं,
2 Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
हम अपनी दृष्टि मसीह येशु, हमारे विश्वास के कर्ता तथा सिद्ध करनेवाले पर लगाए रहें, जिन्होंने उस आनंद के लिए, जो उनके लिए निर्धारित किया गया था, लज्जा की चिंता न करते हुए क्रूस की मृत्यु सह ली और परमेश्वर के सिंहासन की दाहिने ओर बैठ गए.
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
उन पर विचार करो, जिन्होंने पापियों द्वारा दिए गए घोर कष्ट इसलिये सह लिए कि तुम निराश होकर साहस न छोड़ दो.
4 Ye have not yet resisted to blood, striving against sin.
पाप के विरुद्ध अपने संघर्ष में तुमने अब तक उस सीमा तक प्रतिरोध नहीं किया है कि तुम्हें लहू बहाना पड़े.
5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh to you as to children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked by him:
क्या तुम उस उपदेश को भी भुला चुके हो जो तुम्हें पुत्र मानकर किया गया था? “मेरे पुत्र, प्रभु के अनुशासन को व्यर्थ न समझना, और उनकी ताड़ना से साहस न छोड़ देना,
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
क्योंकि प्रभु अनुशासित उन्हें करते हैं, जिनसे उन्हें प्रेम है तथा हर एक को, जिसे उन्होंने पुत्र के रूप में स्वीकार किया है, ताड़ना भी देते हैं.”
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons: for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
सताहट को अनुशासन समझकर सहो. परमेश्वर का तुमसे वैसा ही व्यवहार है, जैसा पिता का अपनी संतान से होता है. भला कोई संतान ऐसी भी होती है, जिसे पिता अनुशासित न करता हो?
8 But if ye are without chastisement, of which all are partakers, then are ye bastards and not sons.
अनुशासित तो सभी किए जाते हैं किंतु यदि तुम अनुशासित नहीं किए गए हो, तुम उनकी अपनी नहीं परंतु अवैध संतान हो.
9 Furthermore, we have had fathers of our flesh who corrected [us], and we gave [them] reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live?
इसके अतिरिक्त हमें अनुशासित करने के लिए हमारे शारीरिक पिता हैं, जिनका हम सम्मान करते हैं. परंतु क्या यह अधिक सही नहीं कि हम आत्माओं के पिता के अधीन रहकर जीवित रहें!
10 For they verily for a few days chastened [us] after their own pleasure; but he for [our] profit, that [we] might be partakers of his holiness.
हमारे पिता, जैसा उन्हें सबसे अच्छा लगा, हमें थोड़े समय के लिए अनुशासित करते रहे किंतु परमेश्वर हमारी भलाई के लिए हमें अनुशासित करते हैं कि हम उनकी पवित्रता में भागीदार हो जाएं.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless, afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness to them who are exercised by it.
किसी भी प्रकार का अनुशासन उस समय तो आनंद कर नहीं परंतु दुःखकर ही प्रतीत होता है, किंतु जो इसके द्वारा शिक्षा प्राप्त करते हैं, बाद में उनमें इससे धार्मिकता की शांति भरा प्रतिफल इकट्ठा किया जाता है.
12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
इसलिये शिथिल होते जा रहे हाथों तथा निर्बल घुटनों को मजबूत बनाओ.
13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
तथा “अपना मार्ग सीधा बनाओ” जिससे अपंग अंग नष्ट न हों परंतु स्वस्थ बने रहें.
14 Follow peace with all [men], and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
सभी के साथ शांति बनाए रखो तथा उस पवित्रता के खोजी रहो, जिसके बिना कोई भी प्रभु को देख न पाएगा.
15 Looking diligently, lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up, trouble [you], and by it many be defiled;
ध्यान रखो कि कोई भी परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह से वंचित न रह जाए. कड़वी जड़ फूटकर तुम पर कष्ट तथा अनेकों के अशुद्ध होने का कारण न बने.
16 Lest there [be] any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birth-right.
सावधान रहो कि तुम्हारे बीच न तो कोई व्यभिचारी व्यक्ति हो और न ही एसाव के जैसा परमेश्वर का विरोधी, जिसने पहलौठा पुत्र होने के अपने अधिकार को मात्र एक भोजन के लिए बेच दिया.
17 For ye know that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
तुम्हें मालूम ही है कि उसके बाद जब उसने वह आशीष दोबारा प्राप्त करनी चाही, उसे अयोग्य समझा गया—आंसू बहाने पर भी वह उस आशीष को अपने पक्ष में न कर सका.
18 For ye are not come to the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor to blackness, and to darkness, and tempest,
तुम उस पर्वत के पास नहीं आ पहुंचे, जिसे स्पर्श किया जा सके और न ही दहकती ज्वाला, अंधकार, काली घटा और बवंडर;
19 And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which [voice] they that heard, entreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
तुरही की आवाज और शब्द की ऐसी ध्वनि के समीप, जिसके शब्द ऐसे थे कि जिन्होंने उसे सुना, विनती की कि अब वह उनसे और अधिक कुछ न कहे,
20 (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
उनके लिए यह आज्ञा सहने योग्य न थी: “यदि पशु भी पर्वत का स्पर्श करे तो वह पथराव द्वारा मार डाला जाए.”
21 And so terrible was the sight, [that] Moses said, I exceedingly fear and tremble: )
वह दृश्य ऐसा डरावना था कि मोशेह कह उठे, “मैं भय से थरथरा रहा हूं.”
22 But ye are come to mount Sion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
किंतु तुम ज़ियोन पर्वत के, जीवित परमेश्वर के नगर स्वर्गीय येरूशलेम के, असंख्य हजारों स्वर्गदूतों के,
23 To the general assembly and church of the first-born, who are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
स्वर्ग में लिखे पहलौंठों की कलीसिया के, परमेश्वर के, जो सबके न्यायी हैं, सिद्ध बना दिए गए धर्मियों की आत्माओं के,
24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than [that of] Abel.
मसीह येशु के, जो नई वाचा के मध्यस्थ हैं तथा छिड़काव के लहू के, जो हाबिल के लहू से कहीं अधिक साफ़ बातें करता है, पास आ पहुंचे हो.
25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more [shall not] we [escape], if we turn away from him that [speaketh] from heaven:
इसका ध्यान रहे कि तुम उनकी आज्ञा न टालो, जो तुमसे बातें कर रहे हैं. जब वे दंड से न बच सके, जिन्होंने उनकी आज्ञा न मानी, जिन्होंने उन्हें पृथ्वी पर चेतावनी दी थी, तब हम दंड से कैसे बच सकेंगे यदि हम उनकी न सुनें, जो स्वर्ग से हमें चेतावनी देते हैं?
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
उस समय तो उनकी आवाज ने पृथ्वी को हिला दिया था किंतु अब उन्होंने यह कहते हुए प्रतिज्ञा की है, “एक बार फिर मैं न केवल पृथ्वी परंतु स्वर्ग को भी हिला दूंगा.”
27 And this [word], Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
ये शब्द “एक बार फिर” उन वस्तुओं के हटाए जाने की ओर संकेत हैं, जो अस्थिर हैं अर्थात् सृष्ट वस्तुएं, कि वे वस्तुएं, जो अचल हैं, स्थायी रह सकें.
28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and godly fear.
इसलिये जब हमने अविनाशी राज्य प्राप्त किया है, हम परमेश्वर के आभारी हों कि इस आभार के द्वारा हम परमेश्वर को सम्मान और श्रद्धा के साथ स्वीकारयोग्य आराधना भेंट कर सकें,
29 For our God [is] a consuming fire.
इसलिये कि हमारे “परमेश्वर भस्म कर देनेवाली आग हैं.”
