Hebrews 11
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
İman ümid edilənlərə etibar etmək, görünməyən şeylərə əmin olmaqdır.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Əcdadlarımız imanları üçün müsbət şəhadət aldılar.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which appeared. (aiōn g165)
İman vasitəsilə dərk edirik ki, kainat Allahın kəlamı ilə yarandı, beləcə də görünən şeylər görünməyənlərdən törədi. (aiōn g165)
4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained testimony that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
İman vasitəsilə Habil Allaha Qabildən daha yaxşı bir qurban təqdim etdi. Bunun vasitəsilə saleh olduğu təsdiq edildi, çünki Allah onun təqdimləri barədə şəhadət etdi. Habil ölmüş olduğu halda iman vasitəsilə hələ də danışır.
5 By faith Enoch was translated, that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
Xanok ölümü görməsin deyə iman vasitəsilə dünyadan götürüldü. Onu tapa bilmədilər, çünki Allah onu dünyadan götürmüşdü. Götürülməzdən əvvəl o, şəhadət almışdı ki, Allahı razı salıb.
6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
İman olmadan Allahı razı salmaq qeyri-mümkündür. Çünki Allaha yaxınlaşan şəxs inanmalıdır ki, O var və Onu axtaranlara mükafat verir.
7 By faith Noah, being warned by God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to remove into a place which he should afterwards receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out not knowing whither he was going.
İbrahim çağırılanda iman vasitəsilə itaətli olub irs alacağı torpağa getdi. O hara getdiyini bilməyərək yola çıxdı.
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as [in] a foreign country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
İman vasitəsilə vəd edilmiş ölkədə bir qərib kimi məskunlaşdı. O eyni vədin həmvarisləri olan İshaq və Yaqubla birlikdə çadırlarda yaşadı.
10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker [is] God.
Çünki İbrahim memarı və banisi Allah olan bünövrəli şəhəri gözləyirdi.
11 Through faith also Sarah herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
Sara özü sonsuz və yaşı ötmüş olduğu halda iman vasitəsilə nəsil yaratmaq üçün güc aldı, çünki vəd Edəni sadiq saydı.
12 Therefore there sprang even from one, and him as good as dead, [so many] as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea-shore innumerable.
Buna görə də bir kişidən, artıq ölüdən fərqlənməyən birindən sayca göydəki ulduzlar qədər, dəniz kənarındakı qum kimi saysız-hesabsız nəsil törədi.
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of [them], and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
Bunların hamısı imanlı olaraq öldü. Vəd edilən şeylərə nail olmadılar, amma bunları uzaqdan görüb salamladılar və özlərinin yer üzündə yad və qərib olduqlarını iqrar etdilər.
14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
Axı belə sözləri deyənlər bir vətən axtardıqlarını göstərirlər.
15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that [country] from whence they came, they might have had opportunity to return.
Əgər onlar çıxdıqları ölkə barəsində düşünsəydilər, qayıtmağa imkanları olardı.
16 But now they desire a better [country], that is, a heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for he hath prepared for them a city.
Amma əslində onlar daha yaxşı bir ölkəni, yəni səmavi vətəni arzu edirdilər. Buna görə Allah Özünü onların Allahı adlandırmaqdan utanmır, çünki O onlar üçün şəhər hazırlamışdır.
17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only-begotten [son],
İbrahim sınağa çəkildiyi vaxt iman vasitəsilə İshaqı qurban olaraq təqdim etdi. Vədlərə nail olmuş İbrahim bircə oğlunu qurban vermək niyyətində idi.
18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
Halbuki ona «İshaqdan törəyənlər sənin nəslin adlanacaq» deyilmişdi.
19 Accounting that God [was] able to raise [him] even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
O, Allahı onu ölülər arasından diriltməyə qadir saydı. Buna görə də məcazi mənada İshaqı ölümdən geri aldı.
20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
İman vasitəsilə İshaq gələcək hadisələrlə əlaqədar Yaquba və Esava xeyir-dua verdi.
21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshiped, [leaning] upon the top of his staff.
Yaqub ölərkən Yusifin hər iki oğluna iman vasitəsilə xeyir-dua verdi və öz dəyənəyinin başına söykənib Allaha səcdə etdi.
22 By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.
Yusif də ölərkən İsrail övladlarının Misirdən çıxacaqları haqqında iman vasitəsilə söz söyləyərək öz sümükləri barəsində əmr verdi.
23 By faith Moses when he was born, was hid three months by his parents, because they saw [he was] a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.
Musa doğulanda anası və atası iman vasitəsilə onu üç ay gizlətdilər. Çünki onlar uşağın gözəl olduğunu görüb padşahın fərmanından qorxmadılar.
24 By faith Moses, when he had come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
Musa böyüyəndən sonra firon qızının oğlu adlanmaqdan iman vasitəsilə imtina etdi.
25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
Günahdan müvəqqəti zövq almaqdansa Allahın xalqı ilə birlikdə əzab çəkməyi üstün tutdu.
26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt: for he had respect to the recompense of the reward.
Məsih naminə çəkdiyi təhqiri Misir xəzinələrindən daha böyük var-dövlət saydı, çünki gözünü alacağı mükafata dikmişdi.
27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
İman vasitəsilə padşahın qəzəbindən qorxmayıb Misirdən çıxdı, çünki o, gözə Görünməyəni sanki görmüş kimi möhkəm dayandı.
28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the first-born should touch them.
İman vasitəsilə Musa Pasxa qurbanının kəsilməsini və onun qanının çilənməsini həyata keçirtdi ki, ilk doğulanları öldürən məhvedici mələk İsraillilərə toxunmasın.
29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry [land]: which the Egyptians essaying to do were drowned.
İman vasitəsilə İsraillilər Qırmızı dənizi qurudan keçən kimi keçdilər. Misirlilər də bunu etməyə cəhd etdilər, amma boğuldular.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encompassed seven days.
İman vasitəsilə İsraillilər yeddi gün Yerixonun ətrafında gəzdikdən sonra onun divarları yıxıldı.
31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, as she had received the spies with peace.

32 And what shall I say more? for the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, and [of] Barak, and [of] Samson, and [of] Jephthah, [of] David also, and Samuel, and [of] the prophets:
Daha nə deyə bilərəm? Gideon, Baraq, Şimşon, İftah, Davud, Şamuel və başqa peyğəmbərlər barəsində danışsam, vaxtım çatmaz.
33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
İman vasitəsilə onlar padşahlıqları məğlub etdilər, ədaləti icra etdilər, vədlərə nail oldular, aslanların ağızlarını bağladılar,
34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
şiddətli alovu söndürdülər, qılıncın ağzından qaçdılar, zəiflikdən qüvvətləndilər, döyüşdə güclü oldular, yadellilərin ordularını qovdular.
35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
Qadınlar öz ölülərini dirilmiş geri aldılar. Bəziləri işgəncə çəkəndə qurtulmaqdan imtina etdilər ki, dirilib daha yaxşı həyata nail olsunlar;
36 And others had trial of [cruel] mockings and scourgings, and, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
digərləri də təhqir olunub döyüldülər, habelə zəncirlərə və həbslərə məruz qaldılar;
37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheep-skins, and goat-skins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
onlar daşqalaq edildilər, mişarlanıb bölündülər, qılıncdan keçirilib öldürüldülər. Bəziləri isə qoyun dərisinə və keçi gönünə bürünərək gəzib-dolaşdılar, yoxsulluğa, əzab-əziyyətə məruz qaldılar.
38 (Of whom the world was not worthy: ) they wandered in deserts, and [in] mountains, and [in] dens and caves of the earth.
Dünya onlara layiq deyildi. Onlar səhralarda, dağlarda, mağaralarda və yeraltı oyuqlarda dolaşıb gəzdilər.
39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
Onların hamısı iman vasitəsilə müsbət şəhadət aldı, amma vəd edilənə nail olmadı.
40 God having provided some better [thing] for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
Çünki Allah bizim üçün daha yaxşı şey hazırlamışdır ki, onlar bizsiz kamilliyə çatmasın.
