Ezekiel 20

1 And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth [month], the tenth [day] of the month, [that] certain of the elders of Israel came to inquire of the LORD, and sat before me.

ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସପ୍ତମ ବର୍ଷର ପଞ୍ଚମ ମାସରେ, ମାସର ଦଶମ ଦିନରେ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶୀୟ ପ୍ରାଚୀନବର୍ଗଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେତେକ ଜଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପଚାରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆସି ମୋʼ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ବସିଲେ।

2 Then came the word of the LORD to me, saying,

ସେତେବେଳେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ମୋʼ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା ଏବଂ ସେ କହିଲେ,

3 Son of man, speak to the elders of Israel, and say to them, Thus saith the Lord God; Are ye come to inquire of me? [As] I live, saith the Lord God, I will not be inquired of by you.

“ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶୀୟ ପ୍ରାଚୀନବର୍ଗଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ କଥା କହି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଆସିଅଛ? ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଦେବା ନାହିଁ।

4 Wilt thou judge them, son of man, wilt thou judge [them]? cause them to know the abominations of their fathers:

ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ସେମାନଙ୍କର ବିଚାର କରିବ? ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ସେମାନଙ୍କର ବିଚାର କରିବ? ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣର ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ କ୍ରିୟାସକଳ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜ୍ଞାତ କରାଅ,

5 And say to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up my hand to the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up my hand to them, saying, I [am] the LORD your God;

ଆଉ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଦିନ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲକୁ ମନୋନୀତ କଲୁ ଓ ଯାକୁବର କୁଳଜାତ ବଂଶ ସପକ୍ଷରେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଉଠାଇଲୁ ଓ ମିସର ଦେଶରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଆପଣାର ପରିଚୟ ଦେଲୁ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସପକ୍ଷରେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଉଠାଇ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ବୋଲି କହିଲୁ;

6 In the day [that] I lifted up my hand to them, to bring them forth from the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which [is] the glory of all lands:

ସେହି ଦିନ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମିସର ଦେଶରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିବା ପାଇଁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରିଥିଲୁ, ସର୍ବ ଦେଶର ଗୌରବ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ସେହି ଦୁଗ୍ଧ ଓ ମଧୁ ପ୍ରବାହୀ ଦେଶକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ନେଇଯିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସପକ୍ଷରେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଉଠାଇଲୁ;

7 Then said I to them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I [am] the LORD your God.

ଆଉ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜଣ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଦୃଷ୍ଟିର ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ ବସ୍ତୁସକଳ ଦୂର କର ଓ ମିସରୀୟ ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଶୁଚି କର ନାହିଁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅଟୁ।

8 But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken to me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଦ୍ରୋହାଚାରୀ ହେଲେ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର କଥା ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ଅସମ୍ମତ ହେଲେ; ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜଣ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଦୃଷ୍ଟିର ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ ବସ୍ତୁସକଳ ଦୂର କଲେ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ମିସରୀୟ ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣକୁ ଛାଡ଼ିଲେ ନାହିଁ; ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ମିସର ଦେଶ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଆପଣା କ୍ରୋଧ ସାଧିବା ପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା କୋପ ଢାଳିବା ବୋଲି କହିଲୁ।

9 But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned before the heathen, among whom they [were], in whose sight I made myself known to them, in bringing them forth from the land of Egypt.

ତଥାପି ସେମାନେ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଥିଲେ, ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ, ମିସର ଦେଶରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିବା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆପଣାର ପରିଚୟ ଦେଇଥିଲୁ, ସେହି ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଆମ୍ଭର ନାମ ଯେପରି ଅପବିତ୍ର ନ ହୁଏ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ନାମ ନିମନ୍ତେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କଲୁ।

10 Wherefore I caused them to go forth from the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.

ଏହିରୂପେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମିସର ଦେଶରୁ ବାହାର କରାଇ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରକୁ ଆଣିଲୁ।

11 And I gave them my statutes, and showed them my judgments, which [if] a man doeth, he shall even live in them.

ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣାର ବିଧି ଦେଲୁ ଓ ଆପଣା ଶାସନସକଳ ଜ୍ଞାତ କରାଇଲୁ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଯଦି ତାହା ପାଳନ କରେ, ତେବେ ତହିଁରେ ସେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ!

12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I [am] the LORD that sanctify them.

ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ୟ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପବିତ୍ରକାରୀ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟୁ, ଏହା ଯେପରି ସେମାନେ ଜାଣିବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭର ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଚିହ୍ନସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣାର ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନସକଳ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲୁ।

13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which [if] a man doeth, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly profaned: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

ମାତ୍ର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଦ୍ରୋହାଚାରୀ ହେଲେ; ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଧିରୂପ ପଥରେ ଚାଲିଲେ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ଶାସନସକଳ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କଲେ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଯଦି ତାହା ପାଳନ କରେ, ତେବେ ତହିଁରେ ସେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ; ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନସକଳ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଅପବିତ୍ର କଲେ; ସେତେବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଂହାର କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା କୋପ ଢାଳିବା ବୋଲି କହିଲୁ।

14 But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.

ତଥାପି ଯେଉଁ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଗଣ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଲୁ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଆମ୍ଭର ନାମ ଯେପରି ଅପବିତ୍ର ନ ହୁଏ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ନାମ ନିମନ୍ତେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କଲୁ।

15 Yet also I lifted up my hand to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given [them], flowing with milk and honey, which [is] the glory of all lands;

ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ୟ ସର୍ବ ଦେଶର ଗୌରବ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ଯେଉଁ ଦୁଗ୍ଧ ଓ ମଧୁ ପ୍ରବାହୀ ଦେଶ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଇଥିଲୁ, ସେହି ଦେଶକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ନ ଆଣିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଉଠାଇଲୁ;

16 Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but profaned my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.

କାରଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହେବାରୁ ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଶାସନସକଳ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କଲେ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଧିରୂପ ପଥରେ ଚାଲିଲେ ନାହିଁ, ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନସକଳ ଅପବିତ୍ର କଲେ।

17 Nevertheless my eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness.

ତଥାପି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭର ଲଜ୍ଜ୍ୟା ହେଲା, ଏଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରୂପେ ସଂହାର କଲୁ ନାହିଁ।

18 But I said to their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:

ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ କହିଲୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ପିତୃଗଣର ବିଧି ଅନୁସାରେ ଚାଲ ନାହିଁ କିଅବା ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଶାସନସକଳ ମାନ ନାହିଁ, ଅଥବା ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଶୁଚି କର ନାହିଁ;

19 I [am] the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;

ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅଟୁ; ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଧିରୂପ ପଥରେ ଚାଲ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ଶାସନସକଳ ରକ୍ଷା କରି ପାଳନ କର;

20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I [am] the LORD your God.

ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନସକଳ ପବିତ୍ର କର; ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅଟୁ, ଏହା ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିବ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତାହାସବୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏକ ଚିହ୍ନସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବ।

21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which [if] a man doeth, he shall even live in them: they profaned my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

ମାତ୍ର ସେହି ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଦ୍ରୋହାଚରଣ କଲେ; ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଧିରୂପ ପଥରେ ଚାଲିଲେ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ଶାସନସକଳ ରକ୍ଷା କରି ପାଳନ କଲେ ନାହିଁ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ତାହା ପାଳନ କଲେ, ତହିଁରେ ସେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ; ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନସକଳ ଅପବିତ୍ର କଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆପଣା କ୍ରୋଧ ସାଧିବା ପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା କୋପ ଢାଳିବା ବୋଲି କହିଲୁ।

22 Nevertheless I withdrew my hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.

ତଥାପି ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଲୁ, ସେହି ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଆମ୍ଭର ନାମ ଯେପରି ଅପବିତ୍ର ନ ହୁଏ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ସମ୍ବରଣ କଲୁ ଓ ଆପଣା ନାମ ନିମନ୍ତେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କଲୁ।

23 I lifted up my hand to them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;

ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭେ ନାନା ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ ଓ ନାନା ଦେଶରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିକ୍ଷେପ କରିବୁ ବୋଲି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଉଠାଇଲୁ;

24 Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had profaned my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.

କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଶାସନସକଳ ପାଳନ କଲେ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଧିସକଳ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କଲେ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନସକଳ ଅପବିତ୍ର କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପିତୃବର୍ଗର ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣ ପ୍ରତି ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରହିଲା।

25 Wherefore I gave them also statutes [that were] not good, and judgments by which they should not live;

ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ୟ ଯାହା ସେମାନଙ୍କର ମଙ୍ଗଳଜନକ ନୁହେଁ, ଏପରି ବିଧି ଓ ଯହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ବଞ୍ଚିବେ ନାହିଁ, ଏପରି ଶାସନସବୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲୁ;

26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through [the fire] all the first-born, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I [am] the LORD.

ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟୁ, ଏହା ଯେପରି ସେମାନେ ଜାଣିବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ, ସେମାନେ ଗର୍ଭାଶୟ ମୁକ୍ତକାରୀ ସମସ୍ତ ସନ୍ତାନକୁ ଅଗ୍ନି ମଧ୍ୟଦେଇ ଗମନ କରାଇବା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଯେଉଁ ଉପହାର ପ୍ରଦାନ କଲେ, ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଶୁଚି କରାଇଲୁ।

27 Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel, and say to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.

ଏହେତୁ ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ ସଙ୍ଗେ କଥା କହି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପିତୃପୁରୁଷମାନେ ଏଥିରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ସତ୍ୟ-ଲଙ୍ଘନ କରି ଆମ୍ଭର ନିନ୍ଦା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।

28 [For] when I had brought them into the land, [for] which I lifted up my hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savor, and poured out there their drink-offerings.

କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଉଠାଇଥିଲୁ, ସେହି ଦେଶକୁ ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଣିଲୁ, ସେତେବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଉଚ୍ଚ ପର୍ବତ ଓ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଗହଳିଆ ବୃକ୍ଷ ଦେଖି ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ବଳିଦାନ କଲେ ଓ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ସେମାନେ (ଆମ୍ଭର) ବିରକ୍ତିଜନକ ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ, ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ସୁଗନ୍ଧିଯୁକ୍ତ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ରଖିଲେ ଓ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ପେୟ-ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଢାଳିଲେ।

29 Then I said to them, What [is] the high place to which ye go? and its name is called Bamah to this day.

ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀକି ଯାଅ, ତାହାର ଅଭିପ୍ରାୟ ଏହି କି? ଏଣୁ ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତହିଁର ନାମ ବାମା (ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀ) ରହିଅଛି।

30 Wherefore say to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye lewd deeds after their abominations?

ଏଣୁକରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶକୁ କୁହ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣର ରୀତି ଅନୁସାରେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଶୁଚି କରୁଅଛ? ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ କ୍ରିୟାନୁସାରେ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରୀ ହେଉଅଛ?

31 For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even to this day: and shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be inquired of by you.

ଆଉ, ଯେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଉପହାର ଦାନ କରୁଅଛ, ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ ଅଗ୍ନି ମଧ୍ୟଦେଇ ଗମନ କରାଉଅଛ, ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଶୁଚି କରୁ ନାହଁ? ତେବେ ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ, ଆମ୍ଭେ କି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଦେବା? ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ପଚାରିବା ପାଇଁ ଦେବା ନାହିଁ;

32 And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.

ପୁଣି, ‘ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାଷ୍ଠ ଓ ପ୍ରସ୍ତରର ସେବା କରି ଅନ୍ୟଦେଶୀୟମାନଙ୍କର ଓ ନାନା ଦେଶ ନିବାସୀ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀମାନଙ୍କ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହେବା ବୋଲି ଏହି ଯେଉଁ କଥା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମନରେ ଉଠୁଅଛି ଓ ଯାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କହୁଅଛ,’ ତାହା କେବେ ଘଟିବ ନାହିଁ।

33 [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with an out-stretched arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:

ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ବଳବାନ ହସ୍ତ, ବିସ୍ତୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବାହୁ ଓ କୋପବର୍ଷଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ରାଜା ହେବା;

34 And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries in which ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an out-stretched arm, and with fury poured out.

ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ବଳବାନ ହସ୍ତ, ବିସ୍ତୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବାହୁ ଓ କୋପବର୍ଷଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିବା ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶରେ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ ହୋଇଅଛ, ସେହି ସବୁ ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରିବା;

35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.

ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀସମୂହର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରକୁ ଆଣି ସମ୍ମୁଖାସମ୍ମୁଖୀ ହୋଇ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ବିଚାର କରିବା।

36 As I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD.

ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ମିସର ଦେଶର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣର ସହିତ ବିଚାର କରିଥିଲୁ, ସେହିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ବିଚାର କରିବା।

37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant.

ଆଉ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପାଞ୍ଚଣ ତଳେ ଗମନ କରାଇବା ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିୟମରୂପ ବନ୍ଧନରେ ଆବଦ୍ଧ କରିବା;

38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD.

ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ବିଦ୍ରୋହୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଅପରାଧକାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଝାଡ଼ି ଦୂର କରିଦେବା; ସେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶରେ ପ୍ରବାସ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେ ଦେଶରୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିବା, ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଦେଶରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ; ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟୁ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିବ।

39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter [also], if ye will not hearken to me: but profane ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.

ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭ ବାକ୍ୟରେ ମନୋଯୋଗ ନ କରିବ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ଯାଇ ଏବେ ଓ ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣର ସେବା କର; ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ଉପହାର ଓ ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆମ୍ଭର ପବିତ୍ର ନାମ ଆଉ ଅପବିତ୍ର କରିବ ନାହିଁ।

40 For on my holy mountain, on the mountain of the hight of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the first fruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.

କାରଣ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭର ପବିତ୍ର ପର୍ବତରେ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ଉଚ୍ଚତମ ପର୍ବତରେ, ସମୁଦାୟ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତେ ହିଁ ସେଠାରେ ଦେଶ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭର ସେବା କରିବେ; ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କରିବା ଓ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଯାବତୀୟ ପବିତ୍ର ବସ୍ତୁ ସହିତ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପହାର ଓ ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ଫଳର ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଚାହିଁବା।

41 I will accept you with your sweet savor, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries in which ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.

ଯେଉଁ ସମୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିବା ଓ ଯେଉଁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ ହୋଇ ରହିଅଛ, ସେହି ସବୁ ଦେଶରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରିବା, ସେହି ସମୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁଗନ୍ଧିଯୁକ୍ତ ଆଘ୍ରାଣାର୍ଥକ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବା ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଗଣର ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ପବିତ୍ରୀକୃତ ହେବା।

42 And ye shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country [for] which I lifted up my hand to give it to your fathers.

ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣକୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଉଠାଇଲୁ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ସେହି ଦେଶକୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଣିବା, ସେତେବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟୁ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିବ।

43 And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings in which ye have been defiled; and ye shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed.

ଆଉ, ଯହିଁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଶୁଚି କରିଅଛ, ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ସେହି ଆଚାର ବ୍ୟବହାର ଓ କ୍ରିୟାସକଳ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେଠାରେ ସ୍ମରଣ କରିବ ଓ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର କୃତ ସମସ୍ତ କୁକ୍ରିୟା ସକାଶୁ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଘୃଣା କରିବ।

44 And ye shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

ପୁଣି, ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଆଚାର ବ୍ୟବହାରାନୁସାରେ ନୁହେଁ, କିଅବା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟ କ୍ରିୟାନୁସାରେ ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଆପଣା ନାମ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିବା, ସେତେବେଳେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟୁ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିବ।”

45 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ମୋʼ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା ଏବଂ ସେ କହିଲେ,

46 Son of man, set thy face towards the south, and drop [thy word] towards the south, and prophesy against the forest of the south field;

“ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଦିଗ ପ୍ରତି ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ରଖ ଓ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଦିଗ ପ୍ରତି ଆପଣା ବାକ୍ୟ ବର୍ଷଣ କର, ଆଉ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରସ୍ଥ ଅରଣ୍ୟ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍‍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କର;

47 And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein.

ପୁଣି, ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଦିଗର ଅରଣ୍ୟକୁ କୁହ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣ; ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି: ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅଗ୍ନି ଜ୍ୱଳାଇବା, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭ ମଧ୍ୟସ୍ଥିତ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ସତେଜ ଓ ଶୁଷ୍କ ବୃକ୍ଷକୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ; ସେହି ଜ୍ୱଳନ୍ତ ଅଗ୍ନିଶିଖା ନିର୍ବାପିତ ହେବ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଦକ୍ଷିଣଠାରୁ ଉତ୍ତର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସମସ୍ତ ମୁଖ ତଦ୍ଦ୍ୱାରା ଦଗ୍ଧ ହେବ।

48 And all flesh shall see that I the LORD have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.

ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସେହି ଅଗ୍ନି ଯେ ଜ୍ୱଳାଇଅଛୁ, ଏହା ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଣୀ ଦେଖିବେ, ତହିଁର ନିର୍ବାଣ ନୋହିବ।”

49 Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak parables?

ଏଥିରେ ମୁଁ କହିଲି, “ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ସେମାନେ ମୋʼ ବିଷୟରେ କହନ୍ତି, ସେ ଲୋକ କି ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ-ବାକ୍ୟବାଦୀ ନୁହେଁ?”
