Ezekiel 16

1 Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

E veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

2 Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,

Filho do homem, faze conhecer a Jerusalém as suas abominações.

3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD to Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity [is] of the land of Canaan; thy father [was] an Amorite, and thy mother a Hittite.

E dize: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah a Jerusalém: A tua origem e o teu nascimento procedem da terra dos cananeus: teu pai era amorreu, e a tua mãe hethea.

4 And [as for] thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple [thee]; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.

E, quanto ao teu nascimento, no dia em que nasceste não te foi cortado o umbigo, nem foste lavada com a água, vendo-te eu; nem tão pouco foste esfregada com sal, nem envolta em faixas.

5 No eye pitied thee, to do any of these to thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.

Não se compadeceu de ti olho algum, para te fazer alguma coisa disto, compadecido de ti; antes foste lançada na face do campo, pelo nojo da tua alma, no dia em que tu nasceste.

6 And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thy own blood, I said to thee [when thou wast] in thy blood, Live; yes, I said to thee [when thou wast] in thy blood, Live.

E, passando eu por ao pé de ti, vi-te pizada no teu sangue, e disse-te: Ainda que estejas no teu sangue, vive; sim, disse-te: Ainda que estejas no teu sangue, vive

7 I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and become great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: [thy] breasts are fashioned, and thy hair is grown, whereas thou [wast] naked and bare.

Eu te fiz multiplicar como o renovo do campo, e cresceste, e te engrandeceste, e chegaste à grande formosura: avultaram os peitos, e brotou o teu pelo; porém estavas nua e descoberta.

8 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time [was] the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yes, I swore to thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.

E, passando eu por ao pé de ti, vi-te, e eis que o teu tempo era tempo de amores; e estendi sobre ti a ourela do meu manto, e cobri a tua nudez; e dei-te juramento, e entrei em concerto contigo, diz o Senhor Jehovah, e tu ficaste sendo minha.

9 Then I washed thee with water; yes, I thoroughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.

Então te lavei na água, e te enxuguei do teu sangue, e te ungi com óleo.

10 I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.

E te vesti de bordadura, e te calcei de pelo de texugo, e te cingi de linho fino, e te cobri de seda.

11 I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.

E te ornei com ornamentos, e te pus braceletes nas mãos e um colar à rodo do teu pescoço.

12 And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and ear-rings in thy ears, and a beautiful crown upon thy head.

E te pus uma jóia pendente na testa, e pendentes nas orelhas, e uma coroa de glória na cabeça.

13 Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment [was of] fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.

E assim foste ornada de ouro e prata, e o teu vestido foi de linho fino, e de seda e bordadura: nutriste-te de flor de farinha, e mel e óleo; e foste formosa em extremo, e foste prospera, até chegares a ser rainha.

14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it [was] perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.

E saiu de ti a fama entre as nações, por causa da tua formosura, porque perfeita era, por causa da minha glória que eu tinha posto sobre ti, diz o Senhor Jehovah.

15 But thou didst trust in thy own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.

Porém confiaste na tua formosura, e fornicaste por causa da tua fama; derramaste as tuas fornicações a todo o que passava, para seres sua.

16 And of thy garments thou didst take, and deck thy high places with divers colors, and play the harlot upon them: [the like things] shall not come, neither shall it be [so].

E tomaste dos teus vestidos, e fizeste lugares altos enfeitados, de diversas cores, e fornicaste sobre eles: tais coisas não vieram, nem hão de vir.

17 Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and hast made to thyself images of men, and hast committed lewdness with them.

E tomaste as tuas jóias de enfeite, que eu te dei do meu ouro e da minha prata, e fizeste imagens do homens, e fornicaste com elas.

18 And hast taken thy broidered garments, and covered them: and thou hast set my oil and my incense before them.

E tomaste os teus vestidos bordados, e os cobriste; e o meu óleo e o meu perfume puseste diante delas.

19 My provisions also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, [with which] I fed thee, thou hast even set before them for a sweet savor: and [thus] it was, saith the Lord GOD.

E o meu pão que te dei, a flor de farinha, e o óleo e o mel com que eu te sustentava também puseste diante delas em cheiro suave; e assim foi, diz o Senhor Jehovah.

20 Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne to me, and these hast thou sacrificed to them to be devoured. [Is this] of thy lewdness a small matter,

Além disto, tomaste a teus filhos e tuas filhas, que me tinhas gerado, e os sacrificaste a elas, para os consumirem: acaso é pequena a tua fornicação?

21 That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through [the fire] for them?

E mataste a meus filhos, e os entregaste a elas para os fazerem passar pelo fogo.

22 And in all thy abominations and thy deeds of lewdness thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, [and] wast polluted in thy blood.

E em todas as tuas abominações, e tuas fornicações, não te lembraste dos dias da tua mocidade, quando tu estavas nua e descoberta, e pizada no teu sangue.

23 And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe to thee! saith the Lord GOD; )

E sucedeu, depois de toda a tua maldade (ai! ai de ti! diz o Senhor Jehovah),

24 [That] thou hast also built to thee an eminent place, and hast made thee a high place in every street.

Que edificaste uma abobada, e fizeste lugares altos por todas as ruas.

25 Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast prostituted thyself to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy lewd deeds.

A cada canto do caminho edificaste o teu lugar alto, e fizeste abominável a tua formosura, e alargaste os teus pés a todo o que passava: e assim multiplicaste as tuas fornicações.

26 Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbors, great of flesh; and hast multiplied thy lewd deeds, to provoke me to anger.

Também fornicaste com os filhos do Egito, teus vizinhos de grandes carnes, e multiplicaste a tua fornicação para me provocares à ira.

27 Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thy ordinary [food], and delivered thee to the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of thy lewd way.

Pelo que eis que estendi a minha mão sobre ti, e diminui a tua porção; e te entreguei à vontade das que te aborrecem, a saber, das filhas dos philisteus, as quais se envergonhavam do teu caminho depravado.

28 Thou hast played the harlot also with the Assyrians, because thou wast insatiable; yes, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldst not be satisfied.

Também fornicaste com os filhos da Assyria, porquanto eras insaciável; e, fornicando com eles, nem ainda assim ficaste farta;

29 Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan to Chaldea; and yet with this thou wast not satisfied.

Antes multiplicaste as tuas fornicações na terra de Canaan até Chaldea, e nem ainda com isso te fartaste.

30 How weak is thy heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these [things], the work of an imperious lewd woman;

Quão fraco está o teu coração, diz o Senhor Jehovah, fazendo tu todas estas coisas, obras de uma mulher meretriz e imperiosa!

31 In that thou buildest thy eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thy high place in every street; and hast not been as a harlot, in that thou scornest hire;

Edificando tu a tua abobada ao canto de cada caminho, e fazendo o teu lugar alto em cada rua! nem foste como a meretriz, desprezando a paga;

32 [But as] a wife that committeth adultery, [who] taketh strangers instead of her husband!

Antes como a mulher adúltera que, em lugar de seu marido, recebe os estranhos.

33 They give gifts to all lewd women: but thou givest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come to thee on every side for thy lewdness.

A todas as meretrizes dão paga, mas tu dás os teus presentes a todos os teus amantes; e lhes dás presentes, para que venham a ti de todas as partes, por tuas fornicações.

34 And the contrary is in thee from [other] women in thy unlawful commerce, whereas none followeth thee to commit lewdness: and in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is given to thee, therefore thou art contrary.

Assim que contigo sucede o contrário das mulheres nas tuas fornicações, pois após ti não andam para fornicar; porque, dando tu a paga, e a ti não sendo dada a paga, te fizeste contrária às outras.

35 Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD:

Portanto, ó meretriz, ouve a palavra do Senhor.

36 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness exposed through thy carnal connection with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give to them;

Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Porquanto se derramou o teu dinheiro, e se descobriu a tua nudez nas tuas fornicações com os teus amantes, como também com todos os ídolos das tuas abominações, e no sangue de teus filhos que lhes deste:

37 Behold therefore, I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all [them] that thou hast loved, with all [them] that thou hast hated; I will even gather them on every side against thee, and will uncover thy nakedness to them, that they may see all thy nakedness.

Portanto, eis que ajuntarei a todos os teus amantes, com os quais te misturaste, como também a todos os que amaste, com todos os que aborreceste, e ajunta-los-ei contra ti em redor, e descobrirei a tua nudez diante deles, para que vejam toda a tua nudez.

38 And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy.

E julgar-te-ei segundo o teu juízo das adulteras e das que derramam sangue; e entregar-te-ei ao sangue de furor e de ciúme.

39 And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thy eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.

E entregar-te-ei nas suas mãos, e derribarão a tua abobada, e transtornarão os teus altos lugares, e te despirão os teus vestidos, e tomarão as tuas jóias de enfeite, e te deixarão nua e descoberta.

40 They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.

Então farão subir contra ti um ajuntamento, e te apedrejarão com pedra, e te traspassarão com as suas espadas.

41 And they shall burn thy houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.

E queimarão as tuas casas a fogo, e executarão juízos contra ti, aos olhos de muitas mulheres; e te farei cessar de ser meretriz, e paga não darás mais.

42 So will I make my fury towards thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.

Assim farei descançar em ti o meu furor, e os meus ciúmes se desviarão de ti, e me aquietarei, e nunca mais me indignarei.

43 Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast provoked me in all these [things]; behold therefore, I also will recompense thy way upon [thy] head, saith the Lord GOD: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thy abominations.

Porquanto não te lembraste dos dias da tua mocidade, e me provocaste à ira com tudo isto: pelo que, eis que também eu farei recair o teu caminho sobre a tua cabeça, diz o Senhor Jehovah, e não farás tal enormidade de mais sobre todas as tuas abominações.

44 Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use [this] proverb against thee, saying, As [is] the mother, [so is] her daughter.

Eis que todo o que usa de provérbios usará de ti neste provérbio, dizendo: Qual a mãe, tal sua filha.

45 Thou [art] thy mother's daughter, that lotheth her husband and her children; and thou [art] the sister of thy sisters, who lothed their husbands and their children: your mother [was] a Hittite, and your father an Amorite.

Tu és a filha de tua mãe, que tinha nojo de seu marido e de seus filhos; e tu és a irmã de tuas irmãs, que tinham nojo de seus maridos e de seus filhos: vossa mãe foi hethea, e vosso pai amorreu.

46 And thy elder sister [is] Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, [is] Sodom and her daughters.

E tua irmã maior é Samaria, ela e suas filhas, a qual habita à tua esquerda: e tua irmã menor que tu, que habita à tua mão direita, é Sodoma e suas filhas

47 Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but as [if that were] a very little [thing], thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways.

Todavia não andaste nos caminhos, nem fizeste conforme as suas abominações, como se isto mui pouco fôra; porém te corrompeste mais do que elas, em todos os teus caminhos.

48 [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.

Vivo eu, diz o Senhor Jehovah, que não fez Sodoma, tua irmã, nem ela, nem suas filhas, como fizeste tu e tuas filhas.

49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

Eis que esta foi a maldade de Sodoma, tua irmã; soberba, fartura de pão, e abundância de ociosidade teve ela e suas filhas, porém nunca esforçou a mão do pobre e do necessitado.

50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw [good].

E se ensoberbeceram, e fizeram abominação diante de mim; pelo que as tirei dali, vendo eu isto.

51 Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thy abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thy abominations which thou hast done.

Também Samaria não cometeu a metade de teus pecados: e multiplicaste as tuas abominações mais do que elas, e justificaste a tuas irmãs, com todas as tuas abominações que fizeste.

52 Thou also, who hast judged thy sisters, bear thy own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yes, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.

Tu pois também leva a tua vergonha, tu que julgaste a tuas irmãs, pelos teus pecados, que fizeste mais abomináveis do que elas; mais justas são do que tu: envergonha-te logo também, e leva a tua vergonha, pois justificaste a tuas irmãs.

53 When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then [will I bring again] the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them:

Eu pois farei voltar os cativos deles; os cativos de Sodoma e suas filhas, e os cativos de Samaria e suas filhas, e os cativos do teu cativeiro entre elas;

54 That thou mayest bear thy own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort to them.

Para que leves a tua vergonha, e sejas envergonhada por tudo o que fizeste, dando-lhes tu consolação.

55 When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former state, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former state, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former state.

Quando tuas irmãs, Sodoma e suas filhas, tornarem ao seu primeiro estado, e também Samaria e suas filhas tornarem ao seu primeiro estado, também tu e tuas filhas tornareis ao vosso primeiro estado.

56 For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride,

Nem até Sodoma, tua irmã, foi ouvida na tua boca, no dia das tuas soberbas,

57 Before thy wickedness was disclosed, as at the time of [thy] reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all [that are] around her, the daughters of the Philistines, who despise thee on every side.

Antes que se descobrisse a tua maldade, como no tempo do desprezo das filhas da Síria, e de todos os que estavam ao redor dela, as filhas dos philisteus, que te desprezavam em redor.

58 Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thy abominations, saith the LORD.

A tua enormidade e as tuas abominações tu levarás, diz o Senhor.

59 For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, who hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.

Porque assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: também te farei como fizeste; que desprezaste o juramento, quebrantando o concerto.

60 Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish to thee an everlasting covenant.

Contudo eu me lembrarei do meu concerto contigo nos dias da tua mocidade; e estabelecerei contigo um concerto eterno.

61 Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thy elder and thy younger: and I will give them to thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.

Então te lembrarás dos teus caminhos, e te confundirás, quando receberes tuas irmãs maiores do que tu, com as menores do que tu, porque tas darei por filhas, porém não pelo teu concerto.

62 And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD:

Porque eu estabelecerei o meu concerto contigo, e saberás que eu sou o Senhor;

63 That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified towards thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.

Para que te lembres disso, e te envergonhes, e nunca mais abras a tua boca por causa da tua vergonha, quando me reconciliar contigo de tudo quanto fizeste, diz o Senhor Jehovah.
