Exodus 37
1 And Bezaleel made the ark [of] shittim wood: two cubits and a half [was] the length of it, and a cubit and a half the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the hight of it:
Betsaleel fit l'arche de bois d'acacia. Sa longueur était de deux coudées et demie, sa largeur d'une coudée et demie, et sa hauteur d'une coudée et demie.
2 And he overlaid it with pure gold within and without, and made a crown of gold to it round about.
Il la couvrit d'or pur à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur, et fit une moulure d'or tout autour.
3 And he cast for it four rings of gold, [to be set] by the four corners of it; even two rings upon the one side of it, and two rings upon the other side of it.
Il fondit pour elle quatre anneaux d'or à ses quatre pieds, deux anneaux d'un côté et deux anneaux de l'autre.
4 And he made staffs [of] shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.
Il fit des perches de bois d'acacia et les couvrit d'or.
5 And he put the staffs into the rings by the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.
Il mit les barres dans les anneaux des côtés de l'arche, pour porter l'arche.
6 And he made the mercy-seat [of] pure gold: two cubits and a half [was] the length of it, and one cubit and a half the breadth of it.
Il fit un propitiatoire d'or pur. Sa longueur était de deux coudées et demie, et sa largeur d'une coudée et demie.
7 And he made two cherubim [of] gold, beaten out of one piece he made them, on the two ends of the mercy-seat;
Il fit deux chérubins d'or. Il les fit en ouvrage battu, aux deux extrémités du propitiatoire:
8 One cherub on the end on this side, and another cherub on the [other] end on that side: out of the mercy-seat made he the cherubim on the two ends of it.
un chérubin à l`une des extrémités, et un chérubin à l`autre extrémité. Il fit les chérubins d'une seule pièce avec le propitiatoire, à ses deux extrémités.
9 And the cherubim spread out [their] wings on high, [and] covered with their wings over the mercy-seat, with their faces one to another; [even] towards the mercy-seat were the faces of the cherubim.
Les chérubins étendaient leurs ailes au-dessus du propitiatoire et le couvraient de leurs ailes, leurs faces étant tournées l'une vers l'autre. Les faces des chérubins étaient tournées vers le propitiatoire.
10 And he made the table [of] shittim wood: two cubits [was] its length, and a cubit its breadth, and a cubit and a half its hight:
Il fit la table en bois d'acacia. Sa longueur était de deux coudées, sa largeur d'une coudée, et sa hauteur d'une coudée et demie.
11 And he overlaid it with pure gold, and made to it a crown of gold round about.
Il la couvrit d'or pur, et fit une moulure d'or autour d'elle.
12 Also he made to it a border of a hand-breadth round about; and made a crown of gold for its border round about.
Il fit autour d'elle une bordure de la largeur d'une main, et il fit une moulure d'or sur sa bordure, tout autour.
13 And he cast for it four rings of gold, and put the rings upon the four corners that [were] in its four feet.
Il fondit pour elle quatre anneaux d'or, et il mit les anneaux aux quatre coins qui étaient à ses quatre pieds.
14 Over against the border were the rings, the places for the staffs, to bear the table.
Les anneaux étaient près de la bordure, aux endroits où l'on mettait les barres pour porter la table.
15 And he made the staffs [of] shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold, to bear the table.
Il fit les barres de bois d'acacia, et les couvrit d'or, pour porter la table.
16 And he made the vessels which [were] upon the table, its dishes, and its spoons, and its bowls, and its covers to cover with, [of] pure gold.
Il fit d'or pur les ustensiles qui étaient sur la table, les plats, les cuillères, les coupes et les cruches pour verser.
17 And he made the candlestick of pure gold; [of] beaten work he made the candlestick; its shaft, and its branch, its bowls, its knobs, and its flowers were of the same:
Il fit le chandelier d'or pur. Il fit le chandelier en travail battu. Sa base, sa tige, ses coupes, ses boutons et ses fleurs étaient d'une seule pièce avec lui.
18 And six branches proceeding from its sides; three branches of the candlestick from the one side of it, and three branches of the candlestick from the other side of it.
Six branches sortaient de ses côtés; trois branches du chandelier sortaient de l'un de ses côtés, et trois branches du chandelier sortaient de l'autre côté;
19 Three bowls made after the fashion of almonds in one branch, a knob and a flower; and three bowls made like almonds in another branch, a knob and a flower: so throughout the six branches proceeding from the candlestick.
trois coupes en forme de fleurs d'amandier dans une branche, un bouton et une fleur, et trois coupes en forme de fleurs d'amandier dans l'autre branche, un bouton et une fleur; il en était de même pour les six branches qui sortaient du chandelier.
20 And in the candlestick [were] four bowls made like almonds, its knobs, and its flowers:
Dans le chandelier, il y avait quatre coupes faites comme des fleurs d'amandier, ses bourgeons et ses fleurs;
21 And a knob under two branches of the same, and a knob under two branches of the same, and a knob under two branches of the same, according to the six branches proceeding from it.
et un bourgeon sous deux branches d'une pièce avec lui, et un bourgeon sous deux branches d'une pièce avec lui, et un bourgeon sous deux branches d'une pièce avec lui, pour les six branches qui sortent du chandelier.
22 Their knobs and their branches were of the same: all of it [was] one beaten work [of] pure gold.
Leurs bourgeons et leurs branches étaient d'une seule pièce avec elle. Le tout était un ouvrage battu d'or pur.
23 And he made its seven lamps, and its snuffers, and its snuff-dishes, [of] pure gold.
Il fit ses sept lampes, ses éteignoirs et ses tabatières d'or pur.
24 [Of] a talent of pure gold he made it, and all its vessels.
Il le fit d'un talent d'or pur, avec tous ses ustensiles.
25 And he made the incense-altar [of] shittim wood: the length of it [was] a cubit, and the breadth of it a cubit; [it was] foursquare; and two cubits [was] the hight of it; the horns of it were of the same.
Il fit l'autel des parfums en bois d'acacia. Il était carré: sa longueur était d'une coudée, et sa largeur d'une coudée. Sa hauteur était de deux coudées. Ses cornes étaient d'un seul tenant avec lui.
26 And he overlaid it with pure gold, [both] the top of it, and its sides round about, and its horns: also he made to it a crown of gold round about.
Il le couvrit d'or pur: son sommet, ses côtés tout autour et ses cornes. Il fit une moulure d'or autour d'elle.
27 And he made two rings of gold for it under its crown, by the two corners of it, upon its two sides, to be places for the staffs to bear it with.
Il lui fit deux anneaux d'or sous sa couronne de moulures, sur ses deux côtes, sur ses deux côtés, pour servir d'emplacements à des perches destinées à le porter.
28 And he made the staffs [of] shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold.
Il fit les barres de bois d'acacia, et les couvrit d'or.
29 And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.
Il fit l'huile d'onction sainte et le parfum pur d'épices douces, selon l'art du parfumeur.
