Exodus 20
1 And God spoke all these words, saying,
၁ဘုရားသခင်က``ငါသည်သင်တို့အားကျွန် ခံရာအီဂျစ်ပြည်မှထုတ်ဆောင်ခဲ့သော သင် တို့၏ဘုရားသခင်ထာဝရဘုရားဖြစ် တော်မူ၏။
2 I [am] the LORD thy God, who have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
၂
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
၃``ငါမှလွဲ၍ အခြားသောဘုရားကိုမကိုး ကွယ်ရ။
4 Thou shalt not make to thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:
၄``မိုးကောင်းကင်သတ္တဝါ၊ မြေကြီးပေါ်ရှိသတ္တဝါ၊ မြေကြီးအောက်ရေထဲရှိသတ္တဝါတို့နှင့် ပုံသဏ္ဌာန် တူသောရုပ်တုကိုသင်တို့အတွက်မထုလုပ်ရ။-
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me;
၅ငါသည်သင်တို့၏ဘုရားသခင်ထာဝရဘုရား ဖြစ်၍ ငါနှင့်ပြိုင်ဘက်ဟူ၍မရှိစေရ။ ထို့ကြောင့် ရုပ်တုကိုဦးမချ၊ ဝတ်မပြုရ။ ငါ့ကိုမုန်းသော သူကို သားသမီး၊ မြေး၊ မြစ်တိုင်အောင်ဒဏ်ခတ် မည်။-
6 And showing mercy to thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
၆သို့ရာတွင်ငါ့ကိုချစ်၍ငါ့ပညတ်တို့ကိုစောင့် ထိန်းသောသူတို့အား အမျိုးအစဉ်အဆက် ထောင်သောင်းတိုင်အောင်ငါ၏မေတ္တာကိုပြ တော်မူမည်။
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
၇``သင်၏ဘုရားသခင်ထာဝရဘုရား၏ နာမကိုအလွဲသုံးစားမပြုရ။ ထိုသို့ အလွဲသုံးစားပြုသူအားငါဒဏ်ခတ် မည်။
8 Remember the sabbath-day to keep it holy.
၈``ဥပုသ်နေ့ကိုစောင့်ထိန်းလော့။ ထိုနေ့ကိုနေ့ ထူးနေ့မြတ်အဖြစ်သတ်မှတ်လော့။-
9 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
၉သင်သည်ခြောက်ရက်ပတ်လုံးအလုပ်ကိုလုပ် လော့။-
10 But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:
၁၀သတ္တမနေ့သည် ထာဝရဘုရားအတွက်သီး သန့်ထားသောနားရက်ဖြစ်၏။ ထိုနေ့တွင်သင် မှစ၍သင်၏သားသမီးများ၊ ကျေးကျွန် များ၊ တိရစ္ဆာန်များ၊ ဧည့်သည်အာဂန္တုများ သည်အလုပ်မလုပ်ရ။-
11 For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that [is] in them, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath-day, and hallowed it.
၁၁ထာဝရဘုရားသည်ခြောက်ရက်အတွင်းမိုး ကောင်းကင်၊ မြေကြီး၊ ပင်လယ်နှင့်ထိုအရပ်တို့ ၌ရှိသမျှတို့ကိုဖန်ဆင်း၍သတ္တမနေ့တွင် နားနေတော်မူ၏။ ထို့ကြောင့်ထာဝရဘုရား သည်ထိုနားရက်ကိုကောင်းချီးပေး၍ နေ့ထူး နေ့မြတ်သတ်မှတ်တော်မူ၏။
12 Honor thy father and thy mother; that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
၁၂``သင်၏ဘုရားသခင်ထာဝရဘုရားပေး တော်မူမည့်ပြည်တွင် အသက်ရှည်စွာနေထိုင် နိုင်ရန်သင်၏မိဘကိုရိုသေလော့။
13 Thou shalt not kill.
၁၃``လူ့အသက်ကိုမသတ်နှင့်။
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
၁၄``သူ့သားအိမ်ရာကိုမပြစ်မှားနှင့်။
15 Thou shalt not steal.
၁၅``သူ့ဥစ္စာကိုမခိုးနှင့်။
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
၁၆``သူတစ်ပါး၏တစ်ဘက်၌မတရားသက်သေ မခံနှင့်။
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that [is] thy neighbor's.
၁၇``သူတစ်ပါး၏အိမ်ကိုလိုချင်တပ်မက်သော စိတ်မရှိနှင့်။ သူတစ်ပါး၏မယား၊ ကျေးကျွန်၊ နွား၊ မြည်းမှစ၍သူပိုင်ဆိုင်သမျှတို့ကို မတပ်မက်နှင့်'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူသတည်း။
18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw [it], they removed, and stood afar off.
၁၈လူအပေါင်းတို့သည်မိုးချုန်းသံ၊ တံပိုးမှုတ်သံ နှင့်လျှပ်စစ်ပြက်ခြင်း၊ တောင်မှမီးခိုးထွက်ခြင်း တို့ကိုကြားရမြင်ရသောအခါ ကြောက်ရွံ့ တုန်လှုပ်လျက်အဝေး၌ရပ်နေကြ၏။-
19 And they said to Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
၁၉သူတို့ကမောရှေအား``ကိုယ်တော်ကသာ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့အား ထာဝရဘုရား၏အမိန့်ကို ဆင့်ဆိုပါ။ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့နားထောင်ပါမည်။ ထာဝရဘုရားကအကျွန်ုပ်တို့အားတိုက် ရိုက်မိန့်ကြားပါက အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သေမည် ကိုစိုးရိမ်ပါသည်'' ဟုဆိုလေ၏။
20 And Moses said to the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.
၂၀ထိုအခါမောရှေက``မကြောက်ရွံ့ကြနှင့်။ သင် တို့ကိုစုံစမ်းခြင်းငှာလည်းကောင်း၊ သင်တို့ သည်ကိုယ်တော်၏စကားကိုနားထောင်၍ အပြစ်မပြုစေခြင်းငှာလည်းကောင်း ဘုရားသခင်ကြွလာခြင်းဖြစ်သည်'' ဟုဖြေကြား လေ၏။-
21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God [was].
၂၁သို့ရာတွင်လူတို့သည်အဝေး၌သာရပ်နေ ကြ၏။ မောရှေကသာလျှင်ဘုရားသခင်ရှိ တော်မူရာ မည်းမှောင်သောတိမ်တိုက်အနီးသို့ ချဉ်းကပ်လေ၏။
22 And the LORD said to Moses, Thus thou shalt say to the children of Israel; Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
၂၂ထာဝရဘုရားသည်မောရှေမှတစ်ဆင့် ဣသ ရေလအမျိုးသားတို့အားဤသို့မိန့်တော်မူ ၏။``ငါထာဝရဘုရားသည်သင်တို့အားမိုး ကောင်းကင်မှမိန့်ကြားသည်ကိုသင်တို့သိရ ကြပြီ။-
23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make to you gods of gold.
၂၃သင်တို့သည်ငါ့ကိုသာကိုးကွယ်ရမည်။ ငွေ ရုပ်တု၊ ရွှေရုပ်တုဘုရားများကိုပြုလုပ်၍ မကိုးကွယ်နှင့်။-
24 An altar of earth thou shalt make to me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt-offerings, and thy peace-offerings, thy sheep, and thy oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come to thee, and I will bless thee.
၂၄ယဇ်ပူဇော်ရန်အတွက်မြေဖြင့်ပလ္လင်တည်ရမည်။ ထိုယဇ်ပလ္လင်ပေါ်တွင်သင်တို့၏သိုး၊ နွား၊ ဆိတ်ယဇ် ကောင်လုံးကိုသော်လည်းကောင်း၊ မိတ်သဟာယ ယဇ်ကိုသော်လည်းကောင်း မီးရှို့ပူဇော်ရမည်။ ငါ့ အားဝတ်ပြုကိုးကွယ်ရန်သတ်မှတ်ထားသော အရပ်ခပ်သိမ်းသို့ ငါကြွလာ၍သင်တို့ကို ကောင်းချီးပေးမည်။-
25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou [shalt] lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.
၂၅သင်တို့သည်ငါ့အတွက်ကျောက်ဖြင့်ယဇ်ပလ္လင် တည်လျှင် ဆစ်သောကျောက်ဖြင့်မတည်ရ။ သံ ကိရိယာကိုသုံး၍ဆစ်ရသောကျောက်ဖြင့် တည်သောယဇ်ပလ္လင်သည် မသန့်ရှင်းပေ။-
26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps to my altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.
၂၆ယဇ်ပလ္လင်တွင်လှေကားထစ်မရှိစေရ။ အကယ် ၍လှေကားထစ်ရှိခဲ့လျှင်သင်တို့သည်ပလ္လင် သို့တက်သည့်အခါ သင်တို့၏ကိုယ်အင်္ဂါ အစိတ်အပိုင်းကိုမြင်ရလိမ့်မည်။
