Ephesians 1
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
Pablo, apóstol de Cristo Jesús por la voluntad de Dios, a los santos que están en Éfeso y a los fieles en Cristo Jesús:
2 Grace [be] to you, and peace from God our Father, and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ.
Gracia a vosotros y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ:
Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que nos ha bendecido con toda bendición espiritual en los lugares celestiales en Cristo,
4 According as he hath chosen us in him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
así como nos eligió en él antes de la fundación del mundo, para que fuéramos santos y sin defecto ante él en el amor,
5 Having predestinated us to the adoption of children to himself by Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will,
habiéndonos predestinado para ser adoptados como hijos por medio de Jesucristo para sí mismo, según el beneplácito de su deseo,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he hath made us accepted in the beloved:
para alabanza de la gloria de su gracia, por la cual nos favoreció gratuitamente en el Amado.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
En él tenemos nuestra redención por medio de su sangre, el perdón de nuestros delitos, según las riquezas de su gracia
8 In which he hath abounded towards us in all wisdom and prudence;
que hizo abundar para con nosotros en toda sabiduría y prudencia,
9 Having made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
dándonos a conocer el misterio de su voluntad, según su beneplácito que se propuso en él
10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might collect in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [even] in him:
para una administración de la plenitud de los tiempos, para resumir en Cristo todas las cosas, las que están en los cielos y las que están en la tierra.
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
También a nosotros se nos asignó una herencia en él, habiendo sido preordenados según el propósito de aquel que hace todas las cosas según el consejo de su voluntad,
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
a fin de que seamos para alabanza de su gloria, nosotros que antes esperábamos en Cristo.
13 In whom ye also [trusted], after ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
En él también vosotros, habiendo oído la palabra de la verdad, la Buena Nueva de vuestra salvación, en quien, habiendo creído también, fuisteis sellados con el Espíritu Santo prometido,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of his glory.
que es prenda de nuestra herencia, para la redención de la posesión de Dios, para alabanza de su gloria.
15 Wherefore I also, having heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love to all the saints,
Por eso yo también, habiendo oído de la fe en el Señor Jesús que hay entre vosotros y del amor que tenéis hacia todos los santos,
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
no ceso de dar gracias por vosotros, haciendo mención de vosotros en mis oraciones,
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
para que el Dios de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre de la gloria, os dé un espíritu de sabiduría y de revelación en el conocimiento de él,
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
teniendo los ojos de vuestros corazones iluminados, para que sepáis cuál es la esperanza de su llamamiento y cuáles son las riquezas de la gloria de su herencia en los santos,
19 And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
y cuál es la supereminente grandeza de su poder para con nosotros los que creemos, según la operación de la fuerza de su poder
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places],
que obró en Cristo cuando lo resucitó de entre los muertos y lo hizo sentar a su derecha en los lugares celestiales,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: (aiōn g165)
muy por encima de todo gobierno, autoridad, poder, dominio y todo nombre que se nombra, no sólo en este siglo, sino también en el venidero. (aiōn g165)
22 And put all [things] under his feet, and gave him [to be] the head over all [things] to the church,
Sometió todas las cosas a sus pies y le dio como cabeza de todas las cosas a la asamblea,
23 Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.
que es su cuerpo, la plenitud de aquel que lo llena todo en todos.
